A tale of Dragons and Lightfoots...

Ok, here we go!

Simple tavern, simple job

In the small town of Greenest, southern part of Swordcoast, houses our two heroines. Offered a pint of ale, gold, and free rooms for a simple fix. The town had kept tabs on them, and the tavern keep was willing to offer a job for the young adventurers.

Its always..

"Rats, kill a few of the nasty buggers, and you'll get your pay." Simple, really. Though he hadn't been down the cellar for a time, they had grown into sizes to big to survive off of scraps. Chased by a mage hand with torch, the rats leapt into combat with gusto.

Ring of fire

Successful, though nibbled, they found the tavern and town in a blaze. Townsfolk had fled, others couldn't as they laid cold and motionless on the floors. The keep bell rang loudly, and the heroines bolted for sanctuary.

Screaming and kicking...

The two stumbled across a family chased by little scaled fiends, the woman let out war crys as she shattered her spear against a shield. The group sprang into action and secured the family, leaving pin cushioned bodies, and made way for the keep.

A Governor on a hill, at night.

Spectacularly, the group met a man named Nighthill, governor of Greenest. The two learned the town had been surrounded, spires of fire burned all around. After being tended to, Nighthill called the two to his makeshift war table. Though he lacked the knowledge to drive these raiders off, he needed aid in saving those stuck out there.

To the rescue!

Willingly, the two heroines took a secret tunnel under the keep to sneak out. After burning a rat infestation, they picked their way out and near the river. They made their way upstream and at the rear of a church.

Pray or slay...

Kobolds had taken the rear side, smashing windows and harassing the trapped people inside. After a near slip off a 7 foot wall surrounding the church, they voted for the front entrance. After minutes of studying, they learned of their numbers and wandering patrol of cackling kobolds. Luckily slain behind the wall from view, the rogue faked a voice "We're on break!"

Alone...

The patrol left with a laugh, and the heroines spang into action to save those trapped. Ranger led the first half to safety while rogue stayed to guard. Through trickery and luck, she leapt on a kobold from on top a wall, weapon drawn, and sunk it deep in. The other fled to the back of the building, to reinforce.

Blood ran cold...bold

Sneaking to the back, the rogue found her prey with two others and engaged. She slayed the help and chased the last, frustrated over its cowardance. It freed itself from her and left her in the dust... until the returning ranger shot it dead. They saved the rest from the church, and safely returned to the keep. Though eyes watched them over the hillside.

A display of Power

Despite the victory of saving people, the keep stayed quiet as a low deep groan shook their very souls. Sprinting to the top walls, they spotted a blotch in the distance past the fire spires. It then curved heavily, its speed and size grew as it neared. It vanished for a moment behind the wall of smoking buildings before cutting through like a knife, stopping before the wall. Awe and fear rushed over keep as a Blue Dragon glared down at them, and then breathed over an entire stretch of the wall. Guards howled in pain and death as they curled up or fell over the edge. The dragon flew off, circling closer now, playing with them.

Pain included

A wizard hatched a plan to drive the dragon off, but he would require draconian blood; a kobold heart would work. They returned outside near the river, but were ambushed by a drake. Claw and tooth, it tore through both of them like paper and barely held together. After realizing their own mortality, they seized the drakes heart and made arrows of slaying out of them.

What makes a hero

On top of the wall, they made their stand. The Dragon flew in again, its breath took lives for guards again as they fired on it. The arrows shot light from their target, its iron scales ment little to the magic imbued in these arrows. Out of frustration, it destroyed a part of the wall, forcing everyone to run the other way. Shot after shot, barely out of range of its claws and breath, they fought on. It clinged to the tower, smashing in the roof on top of Nighthill. Hot electric breath fumed at its jaws, death drew closer. The ranger drew her arrow, "Swift death to my enemies", and fired. Light shine out of the Dragons eye and it fell down the tower. Celebration was cut short as the Dragon flew high again... then flew off, celebration resumed.

To know ones enemy

Frulam Mondath shortly shown herself to the town of greenest, to demand their riches for their lives. Govenor Nighthill promptly told her that he'd rather spend a night with an ogre than meet her demands. Mondath returned to her army after negotiations broke down. Nighthill talked the two in capturing someone alive to question, and succeeded in bringing a cultist back alive; at the cost of a kobolds life. With new information, the rumor of dragon eggs, and a dragon repelled; things looked better.

Downtime

For a moment they could breathe, and for a moment they forgot about the raid outside side. a few drinks in hand, and music in the air, they took a moment to themselves. Night he'll had challenged the two heroines to a bit of a drinking game, which the Rogue won. And, the Rogue was tasked to a bit of a scary story about outside for the children.

Too quiet

The fun was cut short as cultists poured into the courtyard from the sally port. The two rushed out to meet them head-on and aided the wizard in mending the broken door. After successfully repelling a probe gone awry, their attention was later drawn to a fire at the flour mill. The heroines investigated with help of guards to secure the months worth of food. It turned into a trap, sprung and surrounded, they fought like devils in the moonlight. They found letters on the bodies, descriptions of a plan to draw out and kill the two heroines; ultimately failed.

A worthy fight

They returned from the mill, secured and protected. Unfortunately, they learned of a furious guard in the courtyard screaming "THEY HAVE MY SISTER!" Restrained from exiting the courtyard, a beast held several people hostage outside the gate. He stood tall and his scale was electric blue, he was a vile half dragon. "I am Langdedrosa Cyanwrath! People of Greenest, you have brought harm to my master, and I seek revenge in his honor! Bring out your champion, your hero, your savior!"

Reality

The ranger stepped forward outside the gate, a knot formed in her throat. She took on Cyanwrath, and he engaged her with fury. The two traded blows and the ranger danced around him, arrow after arrow. She struck hard, leaving a well placed slaying arrow in his chest. He struck back harder, and she fell to the ground. In victory, Cyanwrath gloated before striking at her again. The hostages were freed and Cyanwrath left a body behind.

End

Pulled into the keep, the ranger was dead to the world. But, as the sun arose to greet the new day and drive the raiders away, the ranger awoke to find herself in good company again.

I think I'm gonna write our sessions of dnd here. I'm the dm of two for the campaign of horde of the dragon queen, and we just finished our 1st chapter.

Freaky

tumblr mirrors on ‘photosugar’

So idk if others have noticed this before - but it’s the first time I’m seeing this, hence the post.

There’s a website, https://www.photosugar.com, which apparently mirrors all pictures, gifsets etc. people post on their tumblrs (and also other social media sites like twitter and instagram, if I understand it correctly). An example for a tumblr user, with my name: https://www.photosugar.com/tu/lordhellebore

Now it won‘t turn up anything but a 404 error in my case, because I sent an e-mail to the contact address, which is [email protected] with the title “My content on your website”:

Hello, it’s come to my attention that you are mirroring all of the posts containing pictures/gifs that I post on my tumblr. I am asking you to stop pulling the content from my tumblr and to delete me from your website. tumblr username is „lordhellebore“ Thank you.

I got a reply consisting of the single word “removed” after just one day, and as you can see, it worked perfectly fine with the informal mail I sent. So if you want them to stop mirroring your tumblr, it seems all you really need to do is this.

I can’t test the site for all of my mutuals, but I’m tagging a few whom I found on there by random trial & error, and I suggest you look yourself up if you see this post and dislike tumblr mirrors (even if this one is only for pictures, not text).
