Good morning. This might be my last message from the city of Rafah. The occupation [Israel] is carrying out crazy fire. Violent belts. As you’re hearing, there are helicopters. Planes and gunfire from the vehicles. There’s a complete invasion of the city.

We don’t know what is going on in Rafah. The place that the occupation [Israel] claimed to be safe. This is happening all of a sudden; the people didn’t go out. They didn’t do anything. More than thirty targets were hit in just minutes. People were asleep. We woke up to the bombing, to the shooting from the helicopters. It was horrifying. Unacceptable. This might be my last message. Please relay it to the world.

no ceasefire has been called for.

the court has concluded that there is plausible immediate risk of prejudicial (i.e. significantly harmful) outcome for Gazans if measures are not taken before it reaches its final conclusion, and is calling for immediate interim measures.

some of Israel's acts "fall within the scope" of article 2 of genocide convention (preventing births, denying food and fuel) & court is ruling that Israel must not do these things, must punish incitement of genocide, implement humanitarian aid, ensure preservation of evidence

Israel must submit report about all measures taken to meet these requirements within one month; to be then sent to South Africa for comment

these rulings "create international legal obligations" for Israel (and South Africa)

calling for immedate & unconditional release of all hostages taken by Hamas.

Calling it "fanart" is disgusting. This is how an artist protests. I'm using my voice instead of hiding my name and telling those who are trying to make a change that they're "weird". Please look inwards when you say things like this.

Gaza has a very dense artist population, even on the walls of the West Bank, you can see beautiful art done by the resilient people of Palestine (and non-palestinians dedicated to the cause), showcasing their strength and resolve.

"Graffiti on the West Bank Barrier in Bethlehem. The main image features Ahed Tamimi the Palestinian Girl jailed for slapping an Israeli soldier by Italian artist Jorit Agoch who was later arrested for his troubles. It also partly shows an image of Razan Al Najjar, a paramedic nurse killed by an Israeli sniper during a protest in Gaza. That work is by Palestinian artist Taqi Spateen"
