✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name? (Link)
Believe it or not, Link's name has nothing to do with the Legend of Zelda (though many people initially assume so)! It's actually a play on my initials, starting with my first name (Li-----), my middle initial (N), and my last initial (K)! When I took the name for myself, I wanted a sona that matched, and honestly, nothing felt more right for him than just "Link"!
🍀 - What originally inspired the OC? (Simeko)
In one of my first D&D games, ran by my then-best-friend's boyfriend, we were meant to come up with PCs that would meet up with an archaeologist for exploring a dig site/ruin. Joining this campaign would mean making my third PC for TTRPGs. Despite my love of cats, I still hadn't made a catfolk, so I had to fix that once I'd been given the opportunity. Due to the setting/premise of the campaign, I really wanted to go with 'loves ruin diving' but I also wanted something a little more fun than just 'explorer' so I gave him an obsessive love of fish as well (because cats. it's funny. tell me I'm funny /j).
He really only developed further than that upon joining the book club/Valeron campaign tho! I can't share much more tho because secrets, secrets, never tell. :3c
🎓 - How long have you had the OC? (Brenin)
Somehow, his Toyhouse created on date is actually close to accurate! It's been about 4 years since I got this baby boy. He was originally created by a user on Amino and put up for sale, and when I fell in love, my friend picked him up for me and I went DIS ME I AM DIS. And thus, a sona was born lol.
