Learning on the go by fighting firebenders is training and she has been preparing for this battle for months while she was traveling here. Every time she fights with the fire nation she is laying down her life for the whole world because if they get to Aang, it's over. Katara is the last line of defence.

Now imagine how much more impactful this speech would have been if Sokka started out sexist.

Looking back at it I don't know why everyone was so surprised at Hana blood bending when it's an extension of water healing.

Watching Koh the Face Stealer again reminds me of how whenever I watched his episode I would try to emulate how fast I could drop my smile.
