OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT DOUMA X READER! I really loved it! When it comes to demons I can see they being very yandere, too :)
hi anon
i am glad you liked the douma x reader drabble i posted. it was really fun to write once i had the concept visualized. and i think that it turned out really good in my opinion.
the request didn't say to write douma as a yandere, so those vibes just kinda happened when i started writing. it just fit douma that he fits a lot of the yandere vibes. same with other demons like muzan and gyutaro in particular, and kokushibo lowkey. the only one who i don't necessarily automatically see as a yandere is akaza but that's just because he canonically respects (doesn't kill/eat) women.
requests are still open by the way to anyone.
thank you

Hi I hope you're fine :) I'd like to request a dabble with Doma and a female slayer. Like Mitsuri this slayer dreams of findind a husband who's stronger than her. So when Doma and the Slayer meet BOOM he falls in love, and when they fight he's like "you said you wanted a husband stronger than you. Well, here I am~". And now she has to deal with this motherfucker who's always following her around, fighting her (and winning) to try to win her heart. (thank you sorry this was long lol)
Tumblr media
douma's crush wants to marry someone strong
type: drabble
pronouns: she/her/herself
word count: 1449
content warning: mentions of blood, depictions of injury
a/n: hello! i literally could not think of a better title. but i did like this request. douma is a surprisingly easy character to write for, which was very surprising to be honest. but i do enjoy it. this was fun to finally get to and i hope it's enjoyable. it came out more yandere than i thought it would, but that's where my brain took me. idk, the demons with human readers often come off as slightly yandere.

She had said it once aloud.
He was a foolish hinoe, meant to accompany her in slaying a lower moon. His name was Taka… Takashi? No, it was Takahiro, she was sure now. He had dark hair and unremarkable features, he was shaking so terribly, sure that he would not survive the night. (Y/N) could not fault him for being afraid, that would be monstrous of her to be so apathetic, so uncompassionate.
Takahiro survived that night. Not on any merit of his own, but rather from sheer luck and the abilities of the hashira he had been assigned to, saving him from what would have been a terrible fate. (Y/N) had never minded saving her fellow demon slayers, it was not as though they could afford to keep bleeding numbers the way they did regularly. (Y/N) did not mind saving Takahiro, he was a good person who she was fond of, and thought deserved better than to die at the hands of some despicable demon.
His fear was not what made him foolish to her. But rather, it was what he did from the small courage he gained after surviving a deathly battle that caused her to always remember him as a fool. When he asked her to marry him.
It made her cringe to remember it now.
Perhaps, she should have said ‘yes’ and been a silly, foolish girl. Like some romantic, lovesick girl who allowed herself to get swept up by the first decent man to offer to marry her and live an ordinary life as some unimpressive man’s wife. But, (Y/N) would never have become a hashira if she was someone who aspired to live an unexceptional life and settle for less.
“I am sorry. I would only marry a man who is stronger than me.”
That was the only time she could recall ever voicing that notion aloud. There would never be another circumstance where she could imagine herself saying that. It was not as though she was proposed to everyday, nor that she needed to reject a marriage proposal and cite her reasoning. Instead, she kept it to herself and only reflected on her dream of a strong husband in her sleep.
Now, (Y/N) was bleeding. She was sure that she had some broken ribs. Her foot was sprained, and with each amount of pressure she kept putting on it by refusing to lie down and die, (Y/N) threatened to tear a ligament and detach it from the bone. There was a ringing in her ears, were they bleeding too? She could smell her own blood, her nose was not broken. Three of her fingers are, though, and she struggled to hold her sword in both hands. (Y/N) had never been so brutalized in a battle before. A part of her told her that this must be her time, this would be the demon who kills her.
At least it is an upper moon who would do her in. Upper two, no less.
She continued to hold herself up, despite her damaged internal organs and broken bones, determined to fight until the end. There would be no shame in dying then, (Y/N) told herself. It would be a worthy death of a hashira, even if she would never have her impossible dreams and hopes.
He had been playing with her for a while now, she had realized a while ago as she tried to steady her breathing enough to use her breathing style. (Y/N) had known that the strength of the upper moons was to be feared. While the ranks of the lower ranks had been changed over the millennia as the demon slayers had managed to kill them from time to time, the upper ranks had not. An upper moon had not been killed in hundreds of years. That was their power, their ruthlessness, their competency. Their strength.
“Nothing to say now?! No teasing of how you want to eat me like you did my Tsuguko, you bastard?!” It was a bit undignified of her to taunt this demon who watched her quietly, holding his fans to his face to hide his expression. But, she had hit her head pretty hard a while ago and she would be dying very soon. Dignity was not her greatest concern anymore.
(Y/N) tired of awaiting her death, took her final lunge at him in her fifth form. She watched as the demon finally moved, his fans prepared to deliver what is for sure to be the killing blow if she is lucky enough to have a quick death.
The blow did not hit her. She felt an impact, a gust of air that felt like a winter’s blizzard nipping away at her nose and cheeks, burning them red and wiping her hair uncontrollably. But, she did not feel as though she had been struck. (Y/N) still felt as though she was whole as she finished her final form.
Her nichirin sword had been cut in half, she realized all too late. She stood less than three feet from him, she could smell her dear successor’s blood on his lips (or was that still her blood she was smelling?) She stared at his chest, what remained of her blade was stabbed into his midsection, not that it was worth anything. (Y/N) could not bring herself to look up, only watching as her hands began to shake as she realized that she was really going to die.
The demon dropped its weapons, they were more than unnecessary now. She had no means of fighting back anymore, he could kill her in an instant with his bare hands. In lieu of ripping her apart, the upper moon brought his hand to cradle her chin, his long, painted nails trailing her jaw.
“Oh, my dear (Y/N), I have no doubt you would be quite delicious.” She felt him prick her cheek with one of those sharp nails of his, and a thin line of crimson blood ran down her cheek. His grasp was as strong as he expected, (Y/N) was powerless to escape his grasp and her will to fight him waned. He lifted her, he was very tall she now realized, bringing her closer to him by the grip on her face. (Y/N) dared to look up at him. He was more human-looking than most demons she had slain before, but inhumane all the same. With that pale skin and those rainbow pastel eyes. His tone was so jovial and light-hearted, “but why would I waste such a perfect bride?”
(Y/N)’s eyes snapped open, painfully wide as though she had awoken from a nightmare. Her ears were still ringing, they were probably bleeding, she would have thought she went deaf but she heard him with perfect clarity. He was so close she could feel his breath, and he spoke so gleefully. There had to be some mistake, though. This demon couldn’t have called her a bride?
His free hand ripped what remained of her sword from his chest cavity and tossed it aside. He wrapped his arm around the underside of her thighs and lifted her from her tiptoes to his eye level, her feet hanging pitifully in the air, her body pressed up against his, as though they were lovers embracing. His other hand wandered from her chin to her cheek to her hair, an attempt at affection, she decided. The upper moon smiled so widely, he closed his colorful eyes and exposed the fangs of his teeth with his grin.
“You said that you wanted a strong husband.” The memories of that foolish boy, the battle with a lower moon, her miraculous victory, and her rejection of his proposal flooded back to her. She had never told anyone else that she desired a husband stronger than her, never said those words aloud before or again after that. Had he been there that day? If he hadn’t been, then this demon could read her very thoughts. “Oh, my poor (Y/N), you don’t have to be sad anymore. I am here now, the husband you desired.”
The pale-haired demon, Douma, pressed a kiss to her cheek where his sharp nail had nicked her earlier. She was surprised when she did not cringe from his touch, instead she only subconsciously surrendered. (Y/N) was so exhausted and her mind was so disorientated, but a dark part of her was just grateful that she was not going to die. That in a sick way, she was safe.
He licked the trail of blood as he pulled away. “So sweet, my little bride.”

How would other uppermoons react to a child that became a upper rank demon? Like, Say, they were little less than Ume's age when they were turned, but more emotionally and mentally mature as a demon than Daki-
upper moons react to child upper moon
type: preference
pronouns: you/your/yourself
characters: kokushibo, douma, akaza, gyutaro, daki
a/n: i tried to make this as realistic to their canon personalities as possible. the one that was easiest and the most fun to write was douma this time, i also one hundred percent believe that would be his canon reaction and no one can change my mind. enjoy~
Tumblr media
KOKUSHIBO
Would he even bother to notice that you are a literal child and not a very small adult? Probably, eventually. He just assumed you were older.
Kokushibo only cares about the other upper moons being efficient and useful to Muzan. Because of your maturity and clearly being powerful enough to become an upper moon, Kokushibo tolerates you.
He does use you to shame the others.
Like whenever Akaza tries to kill Douma because he’s annoying him. Kokushibo will chastise Akaza by reminding him that you’re half his age but have twice his maturity. Which is like a backhanded compliment.
You’re like actually one hundred or something, but sure.
Otherwise, he treats you the same as the rest of the upper moons. Which is with an apathetic neutrality for the majority of the time.
Tumblr media
DOUMA
This motherfucker is condescending to a child upper moon.
Once again, you may look like a child but you were turned into a demon like over a hundred years ago. You’re not literally a child anymore, you have more knowledge, wisdom, and lived experience than almost any other living being on the planet but the other upper moons.
But to Douma, you are a baby.
A little, itty bitty little baby. You’re just so cute with your wittle hands and your wittle feet. You’re so cute he could just eat you up, yes he could, yes he could! Who's a cute little baby? You are, yes you are!
Is he doing this to just fuck with you? Very possibly.
Douma reminds everyone that you are a child whenever they speak on something he deems inappropriate, like swearing or sex. He will even come up behind you and cover your “innocent” ears.
Buys you children’s toys.
Tumblr media
AKAZA
Would have zero qualms fighting a child (x).
Akaza doesn’t really enjoy being in the company of the other upper moons. So, he doesn’t really care about you when you first meet.
He is surprised that you are a child. While you’re technically not the only child in the upper moons (considering Daki was barely thirteen when she was turned into a demon), but you’re the only one who looks like it.
However, that doesn’t mean you get a pass. Akaza is able to make the distinction that you aren’t really a child, so he will fight you.
Especially when Kokushibo uses you to shame him.
Akaza would want to fight you especially after that. Fighting is the only way he can express his emotions, especially as a demon.
Would be impressed with how strong you are. Okay, maybe you don’t suck. If you could give him a good fight, you would become Akaza’s favorite member of the upper moons.
Tumblr media
GYUTARO & DAKI
I combined the two for this specific request because their reactions to a child upper moon would probably go hand-in-hand more than separate.
Gyutaro sometimes (most of the time, to be honest) wishes that Daki would have matured mentally and emotionally over time the same way that you did. Would never say it aloud, but he thinks it.
Daki kinda knows Gyutaro wishes she was like you, and so she hates you because she thinks you’re trying to steal her big brother from her.
So, Daki reminds you that you’re short and ugly.
Daki’s childish feud with you only makes her seem more childish by comparison to your mature indifference to her and her insults.
If Gyutaro gives you any attention, it makes Daki so mad she cries.
So, you don’t interact that often.
Gyutaro kinda still sees you like a child because of the way you look. Which is why he thinks Daki is being so unreasonable, you’re a kid and a fellow upper moon. He thinks you’re okay for a kid.

pretend, for the sake of the head canon idea, that demons can sleep if they so choose:) lets say Muzan and the upper three demons gets visions of a slayer being their lover in the future, but it never hints at how they officially meet. how would they deal with these visions? and say what if they do meet the slayer (the reader lol) after enough searching, who has also had visions of them?
they have visions of their future lover
type: preference
pronouns: you/your/yourself
characters: muzan, kokushibo, douma, akaza
a/n: thank you so much for making a request. writing for the demons was really fun, and helped me contemplate some ideas for two imagine requests i got for douma and akaza. the preference for kokushibo was my favorite surprisingly. huh.
Tumblr media
MUZAN KIBUTSUJI
This man has had lovers before.
I mean, he’s had like what? Six wives that we know of? So of course he’s had lovers for the sake of keeping up appearances. But those all ended terribly, and it wasn’t as though he had any special fondness for them.
Muzan would never imagine that he would have a soulmate. Muzan doesn’t even believe that he has a soul to need a mate.
Then the visions began.
That he would have a lover some day. Though it did not appear to be the same as his previous arrangements. This was more indescribable. Muzan did not even comprehend what he was witnessing in these visions.
With time, he realized that this person in his visions who seemed to be the object of his “affections” was a demon slayer. He was disgusted. This was preposterous. Even if he was to choose a lover, it would never be a demon slayer, one of those pests who bothered him for a millennia.
Muzan waited for some sign in these visions that this was all some facade. That he was pretending to be enamored by this little slayer, to learn the location of Ubuyashiki, perhaps.
But there never was any. It all seemed so… genuine.
He had tried marriage five times, but none of them worked. What made this person so different? It began to fascinate him over time.
When he finally met this demon slayer, his intrigue grew.
“Y-you are K-kibutsuji, b-but I,” you trembled, trying to speak so quietly but he could hear every word you uttered and the pounding of your heart. “I saw you in my dreams.” You tightened your grip on your sword.
There was no battle, of course there wasn’t. It was child’s play to get his grip on your throat and force his blood down your throat.
He couldn’t help his lover suffer a mortal’s death.
Tumblr media
KOKUSHIBO
When he first has a vision of his lover, he has no reaction.
As one of the upper moons who remembers his human life in the most detail, Kokushibo briefly thinks the lover in these visions is just him remembering the wife whose face he had long forgotten.
But then he realized that he was not human in these visions but the demon he currently was. This was not his past, but rather his future.
What was worse, is that he recognized you as a demon slayer.
It was a bizarre notion from the beginning that he would ever seek out another lover, after he chose to leave his family behind to pursue a life devoted to becoming stronger. It was even more bizarre to imagine that if he was to choose a lover that it would be a demon slayer.
Therefore he remains in denial about the visions. Neither believing them or disbelieving them. But rather ignoring their existence entirely.
Kokushibo should have known better than to ignore fate.
You were a demon slayer, as he had seen in his visions. You were as real as you appeared in his mind. He should have killed you, but instead he just kinda watched you from a distance before slinking into the shadows.
He regrets it in the following weeks, as he is continued to be plagued by visions of you. If he was still having visions, that must have meant that he had yet to fully subvert fate and you would still be his lover some day.
The next time he sees you, Kokushibo just decides to accept fate.
And kidnap you. The incapacitating and relocating part was very easy. But while he’s waiting for you to wake up, Kokushibo has no idea what to do now. Should he try to convince you to be his lover?
When you wake up and reveal that you had the same visions of him, Kokushibo was flustered for the first time in his entire demon life.
Tumblr media
DOUMA
When he first sees visions of someone who would be his lover, he is very intrigued. Especially because they look so very cute in his visions.
Douma would be the most amused by the notion.
He’s probably the upper moon who spends the most time surrounded by humans because of his cult. I mean, he eats his cult members, but he like, has to spend time around them before it's meal time.
Would Douma be into the notion of soulmates? Not really. He doesn’t believe in the Gods, and therefore he doesn’t believe there is some force that creates destiny. But it’s an amusing concept to entertain.
He just expects the visions to end up being nothing.
Until he meets you.
Douma was almost shocked that you were real. And very pleased that you were such a cutie as well. The fact that you were a demon slayer who would rather cut off his head than be his lover is… an inconvenience. But not a dealbreaker for Douma, just a quirk of your relationship.
You can try and behead him all you want, but despite how adorably hard you try, you’re not strong enough and he incapacitated you easily.
He brings you back to his cult, happily announcing how the Gods had spoken to him and showed him a vision of a destined partner.
If you tell him that you had visions of him too, a demon with rainbow-colored eyes, he definitely believes in fate now.
Douma cannot decide whether he should just keep you at his side for the rest of your human life, or turn you into a demon so that you can be together forever. He likes having his own little human by his side, but at the same time he knows humans begin to expire after some time.
Tumblr media
AKAZA
Akaza doesn’t like the idea of visions telling him what to do.
He isn’t interested in having a lover, and he especially doesn’t want a lover who is chosen by the Gods or the universe or any of that crap.
It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, where Akaza swears that he will just not do any of the things he sees in the vision and therefore it will never come true and he won’t end up being a slave to destiny.
I mean, what did he expect? Was he just going to go nowhere ever on the chance that you might be lurking at any corner?
Eventually, fate catches up to him.
When he realizes the demon slayer is the person who has been haunting his waking thoughts with visions, Akaza freezes like a deer in headlights for the first time in either of his lives.
You freeze too, recognizing the yellow eyes and pink eyelashes, and patterned blue lines on his skin. This was the demon in your visions that would for some reason become your lover, it would seem.
The two of you decide to fight. And it was the most pathetic fight that either of you have ever put up against anyone.
Akaza doesn’t even know what’s wrong with him, if he kills you right now then he can avoid the visions becoming true, but at the same time, it felt as though his body wouldn’t physically allow him to hurt you.
And you are pulling your punches, metaphorically. Unlike him, who's very much literally pulling his punches. The two of you continue until you get fatigued, and Akaza just watches you instead of tearing you apart.
He smiles to himself. Maybe you’re not so bad.

Can I ask for tanjiro comforting a fem reader (can be imagine or Drabble whichever is better for you)
Tumblr media
tanjiro comforts the reader
type: drabble
pronouns: she/her/herself
word count: 1385
a/n: hello! thank you for making a request, i really appreciate it. i decided to make this a drabble because i wasn't able to expand this request into an imagine. merry christmas, and reminder that requests are open if anyone wants to make one.

“(Y/N)?”
Tanjiro had felt a range of emotions when Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho told him that there was another person recovering in the butterfly mansion besides himself, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. He felt bad for being excited to learn the other patient was (Y/N). Her presence in the mansion meant that she was injured, but at the same time he was excited to see her after months since their last meeting. Once he felt better, he decided to pay her a visit.
She looked well. There were bandages wrapped around her knuckles to her elbows on both her arms, and bandages wrapped around her neck. But, she was sitting up on her own and she was looking out the window. She was injured, of course, but Tanjiro had been worse off many more times before. He was sure that (Y/N) would probably recover before all of them and be on her way to continue slaying demons. She did appear dazed, though.
(Y/N) was staring out the window, as though she wasn’t really in the room right now but somewhere far away. Lost in her own mind that she didn’t even seem to notice that another person had entered the room. Tanjiro gasped, slightly as an intrusive thought entered his mind. What if she was ignoring him? She had incredible instincts as a slayer, she was trained to never let anything sneak up on her. She must be upset with him for some reason or another, not that he could think of some offense he must have committed.
She looked down at her hands. “Tanjiro. Aoi told me that you were here, are your injuries serious?” She questioned, and he could hear that she had been crying in the shakiness of her voice, so unlike her usual confidence.
Tanjiro shook his head, “I am feeling much better. Are you okay, (Y/N)?”
The girl tried to nod, before she shook her head honestly. When she turned to finally face him, there were tears gathered in her (e/c) eyes.
Tanjiro’s mouth gaped open in shock and horror. Tanjiro had known (Y/N) since he had first become a demon slayer. He had known her for years, although he only saw her every couple of months, for a different amount of time each time they crossed paths. Tanjiro thought of her as a good friend. She had always been courteous and more than accepting of Nezuko. And in all that time, he had never seen (Y/N) even upset, let alone crying. He moved his aching legs to enter the room properly and fell to his knees at her bedside and grabbed her hands that had been resting on her lap.
(Y/N) breathed heavily, as she tried to keep herself from crying anymore, as though if she could control her breathing it would stop her emotions. Tanjiro held her hands palm to palm, resting his thumbs over her knuckles. Their hands were so very calloused and scarred. A thin line of tears ran down from the corner of her eyes, and she leaned down to rest her forehead atop Tanjiro’s head, as the tears continued to run down her face. Tanjiro’s hands were cold right now, but there was still the ever present warmth that surrounded him. (Y/N) moved her hands out of his, so that she could intertwine her fingers with his, and nestled her face more towards his forehead, right beside the large red scar on the left side.
They remained like that for an indeterminate amount of time. It could have been as brief as five minutes, but it felt more as though it had been hours. Tanjiro had wanted to say something, to ask questions of what had happened to make her cry, or wanting to offer comforting words. Yet, he held his tongue and just waited as (Y/N)’s tears lessened and her breathing stilled, and she pulled her head away from his own and he could look up at her.
“So-sorry,” she whimpered.
Tanjiro shook his head, keeping his red eyes focused on her intensely. “You don’t have to be sorry. You have nothing to be sorry about.”
She shook her head, “no, I do. I am weak and pathetic.”
“No, you’re not!” Tanjiro insisted, “you’re one of the strongest people I have ever met! You’re such a great swordsman and your breathing style is great.”
“You’re so sweet, Tanjiro,” she mumbled, so quietly as though she didn’t want him to hear her praise. But he had, and it caused his cheeks to turn red with a somewhat burning sensation. It was an amazing feeling to know that she thought of him so highly that he briefly forgot that she was upset. “I’m not strong enough, I’m not good enough. I wasn’t able to save anyone but myself. I shouldn’t be a demon slayer, I am not like you.”
She tried to pull her hands away from him, but he held on stubbornly and looked at her with a serious look. “What happened, (Y/N)?”
(Y/N) looked away in shame. She relaxed her hands and then tightened her fingers around his. She sighed, “I was assigned to act as backup to a mission that was going less than successful. The demon was powerful, it had been feasting on a temple of monks and any demon slayers who came into its territory. We were its prey the moment we climbed up that mountain. All the other demon slayers I went with were the same age as me or younger. Some of them I knew, others I had only met that night. It picked them off one at a time. It had gotten me too, he tried to slit my throat when I screamed, but I was saved by a friend. The demon killed him and I beheaded while it ripped him apart. I was the only one who survived. Twenty slayers, and I was the only one who survived. And only because Takami saved me and died in my place.” She tried to bury her face in her shoulder as her tears returned.
Tanjiro lifted himself off of his knees and onto his feet, but he did not release her hands, only tightening his grip. “You shouldn’t feel guilty that you survived, that you’re alive. There is no reason why you don’t deserve to live, (Y/N), you’re a good person. What happened was terrible but that isn’t your fault. It’s not fair that a demon killed all those people without remorse and you’re the one left feeling regretful. You shouldn’t have to be burdened with these thoughts, because you did nothing wrong.”
She shook her head again.
“I am very happy that you’re alive,” he announced, “I will make sure to pay my respects to Takami for saving you before I leave. He was a good demon slayer who made an impossible decision. He was a good friend.”
“He was,” she nodded. “And so are you Tanjiro.”
He felt his cheeks warm again at her praise, as it had earlier when she called him sweet. Though there was also a disheartening ache in his chest at the mention of them being friends. That was odd, they were friends, that shouldn’t make him upset. “And you’re a good friend, (Y/N). If you leave the corps, I will understand. I just think you should take more time before you make a decision as serious as leaving the corps until after you recover.”
“That makes sense,” she agreed. (Y/N) turned to him, there was still a sadness in her eyes but there was a small smile as well. “Thank you, Tanjiro. I’m not happy about why you’re here, but I am really happy that you were here. You always know how to cheer me up. Thank you so much.”
He blushed, abashedly, “you don’t have to thank me.”
“Would you mind staying for a while?” she asked.
Tanjiro looked down at their hands, which neither of them had ever bothered to let go of from their conversation, so long that he had almost forgotten that they were holding hands. Tanjiro hadn’t ever held a girl’s hand before, beside Nezuko, but that didn’t count. It was the same as holding (Y/N)’s hand.
“Of course.”

Can I have a preference with tanjiro and two surprise characters of your choice? They realize reader has a crush on them and how they react afterwards (fem reader and mutual pinning) thank you 💕
you have a crush on them + confession
type: preference
pronouns: you/your/yourself (fem!reader)
characters: tanjiro, inosuke, genya
a/n: i really enjoy inosuke. when i first started watching the series, i was enjoying it and everything, but inosuke's introduction was where i felt like i went from casually enjoying the series to knowing i was gonna become obsessed with it. and after i finished reading the manga, i love genya a lot. he's so precious and i thought it would be fun to write a character like him into a scenario like this. enjoy~

TANJIRO KAMADO
Having a crush on Tanjiro is very easy because he’s a very kind and likable person, who would easily open up to you as a dear friend.
Tanjiro is definitely oblivious to your feelings towards him at first. Because he's oblivious to his own feelings. He likes you, a lot. But, he likes a lot of people, almost everyone in fact. It takes him a while to figure out that he likes you in a romantic way before he understands how you feel.
“I like you, Tanjiro,” you confess.
He smiles, widely. It’s nice to know his friend who he cares so deeply about also holds him in high regard. “I like you too, (Y/N).”
And in your mind he just returned your feelings, and so you embrace him. Tanjiro hugs you back, thinking, aw this is nice.
Then you pulled back to give him a peck on the lips.
Tanjiro’s eyes widened and his entire body went stiff. Friends don’t kiss each other on the mouth, he thinks. The only people he had ever seen kiss on the mouth before were his mother and father.
Finally, he got a clue. You didn’t like him as a friend, you like liked him, the way his mother and father loved one another. That was the unique feeling he had felt towards you and that you felt towards him.
Then he kisses you back, leaving you none the wiser.
Two years into your relationship is when you learnt that Tanjiro had basically started dating you by accident.

INOSUKE HASHIBIRA
Do not expect this wild man to figure out you are crushing on him.
He can sense that you behave differently around him than others like your heart rate is elevated, and you appear more flushed. But he would assume you are intimidated by the King of the Mountains.
If you’re crushing on Inosuke, the best way to get his attention and, ideally, earn his affection is to prove to him that you are a strong person. Inosuke is attracted to strong people, whether that’s being physically strong or even just having a strong personality.
Also, feeding him. Kinda like a stray dog.
When you finally get the courage to confess to him and say, “I like you”. He just kinda stares at you, waiting for you to give him your news.
Like, he already knew you liked him. Of course, you did. He’s great.
When he tells Zenitsu and Tanjiro about it, the former freaks out at how stupid Inosuke is. Tanjiro explains that you like him in a romantic way, and suddenly the little wheels in Inosuke’s head finally turn.
Everything Inosuke probably knows about courting a mate comes from observing animals in the mountains. So, he probably brings you some berries and nuts he foraged. And, like, a dead squirrel.
He picked a fight with Tanjiro and Zenitsu right in front of you to show you that he could give you the strongest children.
Eventually, you realize that this is Inosuke’s way of telling you that he returns your feelings. This is great because, at first, you were heartbroken that he rejected your confession. Then you were profoundly confused.
For the rest of the day, Inosuke walks around with you with his chest puffed out, loudly marking his territory so everyone knows you're his.

GENYA SHINAZUGAWA
Your crush began when you realized that beneath his tough and aggressive appearing exterior, he’s actually quite soft and kind.
Unfortunately, trying to get closer to Genya is very difficult.
Anytime you try to talk to Genya, his brain stops functioning. All he can think is “(Y/N) is talking to me, she looks so cute and smells so nice. Wait, what is she saying? Oh no! I wasn’t listening! Wait, she’s looking at me! She’s waiting for a response! She has such pretty eyes-”
From your perspective, he’s just standing there with flushed cheeks barely getting mumbles out as he tries to hide away.
Genya’s mutual crush on you is evident to everyone on planet earth, actually. He lacks the ability to be subtle about it.
And unless you’re as dense as a doorknob, you realize it too.
Or you don’t and Gyomei tells you, so that you can unburden Genya by either returning his feelings or rejecting them (Gyomei is a lowkey shipper, he always knows who's crushing on who and he’s never wrong).
You decide to confess because you realize that if you don’t, Genya might never be able to do so. Bby boy can fight demons daily but can barely say a complete sentence in your presence. You need to take the first step.
When you ask to speak with him, he freezes again and starts mumbling, and you decide to just push forward with your confession.
“I like you, Genya.”
Excuse me? What did you say? It’s already so hard for Genya to properly focus when you are standing so close to him, but he swore that you said that you “liked” him? Which doesn’t seem possible.
“Y-you do?” He asked, his voice was so quiet and unsure.
You nod, excitedly. The corners of Genya’s mouth quirk up into a shy smile, he can’t believe a cute, incredible, and kind girl likes him. He turns deep red and just kinda nods, “yeah.”
If you hug him, he may die of happiness.

KYOJURO RENGOKU
You met Kyojuro before he became a hashira. The two of you were part of a larger group sent to deal with two dangerous demons that had been terrorizing a village, and so fifteen kanoes to handle them.
Despite not being a hashira yet, Kyojuro was an assured and charismatic person who interacted with others easily, and was turned to as a natural leader by the frightened teens who lacked a proper leader.
You were one of these frightened kanaos, feeling in over your head.
You tried your best to hide your hesitation, not wanting to be the one who freaks out and destroys morale before you even arrive at your location. But Rengoku notices the way your hand shakes on your hilt.
“You should steady your hand. Have more confidence in yourself. You advanced to kanoe, you should hold your head higher!”
You just looked at him, very confused by this odd guy and his surprisingly upbeat attitude and complete lack of volume control. At the same time, there was something comforting about him despite his oddities.
“Thank you, i’ll do my best,” and steadied your shaking hand.
The mission goes about as expected for any mission at your level. A third of the kanoes are slaughtered by the demons when you first arrive, three more are killed in combat, and one bled out afterwards. Kyojuro manages to take the head of one demon, and you take the head of the other.
However, you collapse in exhaustion after you watch the demon finally dissolve into ash. Kyojuro runs to your side and holds you on his lap.
“Are you hurt?” he asked, checking for any excessive bleeding. You manage to mumble that you’re fine. “What is your name? I forgot to ask.”
You would almost laugh if your chest didn’t hurt so much.
When you wake up after recovering from  your injuries, you find Kyojuro just kinda hanging around even though he was barely injured.
“I wanted to make sure you were okay.”
Being friends with Kyojuro is very easy.
He is a very open and friendly person, who enjoys having companionship and manages to attract people to him like a moth to the flame.
Kyojuro is always excited to see you whenever you are assigned missions together, even after he overtakes you in rank. He never stops treating you that same way he did on your first mission as equals.
One day, you guys have a free morning and you decide to spend the day together. Kyojuro has the perfect idea for how to spend the day!
You weren’t sure what to expect and it definitely wasn’t watching sumo wrestling. Not that you were complaining, it was actually pretty fun.
Kyojuro enjoys sharing meals with friends, although he doesn’t understand why others often decline his invitation (it’s because of the screaming, but never change kyo, you’re perfect).
When you asked him why he was always screaming “UMAI” during meals, he explained how he just wanted to show his appreciation for every meal and encouraged you to try the same.
It was very embarrassing to scream “umai” in a crowded restaurant, but after the first few bites, it was actually kinda fun.
If you have a pet, Kyojuro is obsessed.
Doesn’t matter what the pet is. Dog, cat, bird, snake, even a pig.  Kyojuro loves animals so much. He always wanted a pet growing up, but his father hated animals and so he was forbidden to have one.
Sometimes you wonder if Kyojuro likes spending time with you or if he’s just interested in hanging out with your pet. Why can’t it be both?
He is a constant hype man.
You cannot voice any self-doubt in this man’s presence unless you want a passionate speech. Kyojuro doesn’t believe that people are perfect, but he does think that everyone has value, and he sees yours.
Kyojuro tells you about Senjuro all the time, because he loves his little brother, and he decides to introduce you two one day.
You two happened to be near Kyojuro’s hometown and he invited you to come to the Rengoku residence for some training and a meal. You weren’t gonna pass on a free room and board.
Senjuro is the sweetest and you two get along great after introductions are made. Kyojuro really wants the two of you to be friends as well.
Shinjuro does not make a great first impression.
Luckily for you, he was passed out drunk for pretty much your entire visit except for when he woke up to scream at Kyojuro to get him more sake.
Being friends with Kyojuro is great and easy. Training with him, however, is the exact opposite. This man is insane. You cannot keep up or meet the insane standards he creates for himself. You will die in the process.
If you ask him to tone it down, he will but not by much.
Kyojuro is an endlessly enjoyable presence in your life. He is always pushing for you to become a better person and support you through anything.

GIYU TOMIOKA
You met Giyu after he already became the Water Hashira. Oyakata-sama thought that Giyu might need some extra hands on a mission he assigned to him, considering he had no tsuguko of his own.
It was a great honor to serve alongside a hashira, so you were honored to be considered worthy of work with someone as distinguished as the Water Hashira himself. You definitely had a small case of hero worship.
The first time you met Giyu face to face before you left for your mission, your first impression was less than stellar.
After you were dismissed by Oyakata-sama, Giyu didn’t even look you in the face “we should leave before sunset.” And then he just walked away.
I mean, you understood that as a hashira he would prioritize the mission before pleasantries, but you at least expected him to introduce himself or even ask you what your name is. And the lack of eye contact and just walking away like that was incredibly rude!
Who does he think he is!
You followed of course, and obeyed his every order as his subordinate, because you were professional and took your duties seriously as a demon slayer. But your opinion of Giyu did not improve at all.
When you finally faced the demon, it went for your face before you could react and it nearly tore your face before you were suddenly no longer facing the terrible creature. You were shocked before you realized that you were saved by Giyu, who turned to finish slaying the demon.
After the demon had been beheaded, you approached Giyu to thank him. Giyu shook his head, “you shouldn't thank me. I was too slow.” He motioned to the bloodied scratch on your cheek.
“You saved my life, that matters more than some scratch,” you argued, “so, you are entirely deserving of my thanks.”
Giyu continued to refuse your thanks. Until the following day when you offered to treat him to lunch before you would need to go your separate ways. “Anything you want, just name it and it’s on me,” you offered.
His typically stoic eyes perked up slightly. “Anything? Even simmered salmon with daikon?” You were confused over his uncharacteristic enthusiasm at a very typical dish, but it seemed to be a step in the right direction, so you nodded and you swore you saw a hint of a smile.
The two of you found a restaurant that served his favorite meal and shared a fairly pleasant meal. The conversation started off quite stilted, and you needed to do a lot of the heavy lifting, but Giyu was a surprisingly good listener and seemed to enjoy talking with you.
Your opinion of the Water Hashira vastly improved after that.
After that mission your friendship began to grow slowly over time. Oyakata-sama continued to assign you to missions with Giyu because of how well the two of you cooperated with one another. You even learned that Giyu expressed to Oyakata-sama his opinion of you.
“They talked to me often.”
And you continued to talk with him more and more often. Most of the time your conversations are focused on the mission, but occasionally you will get to talk about more personal matters.
Giyu is really trying to be better at conversing. The first time he initiated a personal conversation, he just said, “the sky is very blue today.”
He will often try to bring up old conversations to make sure you know that he remembered what you said. One day you mentioned that your mother had been ill, and a month later he asked if she was better.
Most of the time you two spend together is lunchtime meals when there are no demons to be slaying. That is the most pleasant time you two can spend together, where you almost appear to be normal people.
When the sunsets though, all personal matters disappear.
After a couple of months you think that maybe you and Giyu have reached some sort of friendship. Maybe. Sort of.
To Giyu, you’re his best friend.
You talk very nicely to him and buy him his favorite meal.
He’s a quiet and reserved person by nature, but having you around manages to make him come out of his shell somewhat that it’s relatively unnoticeable to most people, but impressive to people who know him.
Particularly to Shinobu, who is very curious about Giyu’s new friend.
“Ara, ara, Tomioka-san, tell me something about (L/N)-san. How did you two become friends?” she kept asking him, but he refused to respond. Shinobu spent the most time with him out of all the hashira, but she never managed to get that friendly with him. What’s your secret?
Of course, Shinobu tells the other hashira, which is very embarrassing for him when they all act so shocked that he would have a friend.
Urokodaki is glad to hear of Giyu’s friend when he writes often of a (Y/N) who has been accompanying him on missions recently. He remembers how happy Giyu had been with his childhood friend, so he hoped that he would find new happiness with a new companion.

i don't have much to post just yet on this blog. i am in a big planning mode for both of my blogs. this is my demon slayer side-blog (if you are interested in bnha/mha, check out my main blog @katimagines, my account got deleted and i lost almost everything but i am gonna work hard to make my blog awesome again)
requests are open
i will write for almost every character in demon slayer (i cannot think of a single character i am not willing to write for, except maybe obscure characters i forgot exist)
i write both romantic and platonic stories
i will try to write for every pronoun (she/hers, he/hims, they/thems) so if you want a request to be a specific gender or gender-neutral, please include that in your request and i will do so
any imagine requests (which usually end up in a 2k+ word count, but can end up being closer to 6k+) will take a while to be published.
what i call drabbles, are like mini-imagines (so anything that is less than the usual 2k+ minimum for an imagine). these are also pretty easy for me to complete in a timely manner.
headcanons are exclusive to one character at a time and are much longer than a preference. sometimes they can be really long.
preferences include small headcanons with anywhere from two characters minimum to seven characters maximum per preference. usually i can publish a preference pretty quick.
please make as many requests as you can. i love writing so much!
