after months, even years, I still cannot figure out how Tumblr works. Instead, I read posts on Pinterest like a coward, afraid of the cursed hashtags and the gremlins who spend their days here. But one day I will yield my sword and surrender it to the gremlin king and hope he will let me join this cursed community

Animal Farm - George Orwell
This was a little bit late, I finished this in 3 days but didn't post it right away, I'm sorry for that
Synopsis: a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, the rebellion is betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon.
Genre: Allegory, Satire, Novella, Political Satire, Roman à clef, Dystopian Fiction
Rating (out of five): 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷
Notes: I cannot put in words how much I enjoyed this book. A story about farm animals who turn into communists. Is there a better storyline than that? I think this was banned in the Soviet Union at some point, I’m not sure I’ll have to double-check that later. George Orwell will forever be one of my top ten favorite authors of all time.
Favorite Character: Alright so I had three favorite characters, Moses the Raven, Boxer, and Benjamin. I admire Boxer’s motivation, but not to the extent. He’s so motivated that he works himself to death. I was very sad about that. I thought Moses the Raven was just funny. There’s no real purpose why he’s on this list lmao. He keeps talking about “SugarCandy Mountain” but doesn’t any of the animals at work. And Benjamin because he’s basically the “I hate everyone but you” trope except he’s a donkey and it’s just Bromance between him and Boxer.
Recommended Audiobook:
Quote(s): “All Animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.”

Why does everyone assume INTPs always spend their time on Wikipedia? I'm an INTP and the last time I've read a Wikipedia article I found a mistake. I later decided that it is not trustworthy enough and now read News articles and books. Even if I somehow find myself reading a Wikipedia article I'll make sure to fact-check everything by having a pile of books next to me

Lord of the Flies - William Golding
Synopsis: At the dawn of the next world war, a plane crashes an uncharted island, stranding a group of schoolboys. At first, with no adult supervision, their freedom is something to celebrate. This is far from civilization; they can do anything they want. Anything. But as order collapses, as strange howls echo in the night, as terror begins its reign, the hope of adventure seems as far removed from reality as the hope of being rescued.
Genre(s): Novel, Allegory, YA Fiction, Psychological Fiction.
Rating (out of 5): 🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚
Notes: Lord of the flies is unique on its own. Children stuck on an island may not seem original at first, but the way the author carries it is what makes it so special. Most island books usually convey the idea of colonialism. Meanwhile Lord of the Flies somehow turns it upside down and makes the pure British boys into savages. I really enjoyed this novel and would 100% recommend this to anyone.
Favorite character: My favorite character was probably Piggy. I related to him the most. Although the other boys find him annoying, he still tries his best to help. He’s usually left out of everything and ignored by everyone. Some say his real name is Peter or Peterson because the characters are based on R.M. Ballantyne’s The Coral Islands, still the boys call him Piggy even though he told Ralph that he did not wish to be called that. Piggy is described as chubby and has round thick spectacles, with brilliant intellect which might be one of the reasons he’s treated as an outcast.

Quote(s):
“We did everything adults would do. What went wrong?”
“After all, we're not savages. We're English, and the English are best at everything. So we've got to do the right things."
Extra comments: After finishing the book, I felt like I was gonna cry.
