Variety Monday : Infinite Challenge 392
WARNING : There might be spoilers in this post. Please read at your own risk. Thank you!
Latest episode to be subbed from Infinite Challenge was episode 392, The Thieves Special.
SUMMARY :
IC members were told to infiltrate the new MBC building to steal the confidential files about the shows for the years to come for MBC.
With each having their own assignment, they were able to get the files but got caught at the rooftop.
Using mind games, they must decide : loyalty or safety. Through different games, there will always be loser. If a member loses, their room is inched closer to each other. If it reaches level 4 of room size, they are out which means they can't be released. Only one will win, whoever is the last man standing.
The story is continued in the next episode.
REACTION :
I only started watching Infinite Challenge recently, and I really like the show. Though the part that I don't like would be how they have a theme that they stretch out for 5 episodes. It's not bad, but sometimes I'm not a very patient person.
Regarding this episode. I was really excited when I saw their teaser for it since it was a bit similar to 2 of my favourite shows, the Genius and Crime Scene. I really love shows that makes people have to use their brain :) Again, IC hasn't failed in making the episode funny at the same time.
In the beginning when Jae Suk opened the envelope he pretend he got hurt opening it, shocking HaHa. It was so cute how HaHa was actually worried about his hyung :)
I really liked how Myung Soo pretend to take a call to get in the room, it wasn't really necessary but it was funny :) [So far he has been my favourite member]. I was laughing so much on how he never entered "^^" thinking it wasn't part of the password.
Now onto the Jail, it was obvious how Jae Suk really felt betrayed. He was the one with the smallest room at the end. I really hope he'll find someone who could help him out.
The way Hong Chul said Agency vs Agency with a lisp was funny. But at the end, majority chose to be reborn as Hong Chul rather then HaHa though they mentioned more negatives against Hong Chul.
I think to make it out would be to be witty and use mind games, but for me I'd rather not aim for getting released, I'd just aim for having less floggings which would hurt once they are released.
VERDICT : I can't wait for the next episode. I hope they do more ep like this [There might be more than I know, since I haven't really watched that much IC episode. Please recommend me some ^__^] Since I finished all RM episodes so far, IC has been a great continuation and I'll definitely be watching IC from now on. Infinite/Infinity Challenge Fighting!~

So far we've been posting Running Man summary and reaction, and we really want to expand. Unfortunately. we'll have to cut the summary part and we will post our reactions instead to post more variety shows and dramas [though we may not be that updated, I hope you'll continue to read them]. We've come to settle on reactions only because Mondays post have been too long that not a lot are reading them *sigh*.

What's Up, KPOP? Tuesday : Big Byung (빅병) - Stress Come on! (스트레스 컴온!)

An hour ago, 1theK has released Hitmaker's first project group Big Byung's debut MV , Stress Come on! (스트레스 컴온!). The group consists of BTOB's SungJae, GOT7's Jackson and VIXX's N and Hyuk.
MV : Stress-releaser. Because I've been watching Hitmaker, I was really excited for this debut. The MV was comedic as we all expected, and I just love it. Really wanted to see the funny choreography that they worked on, but it doesn't matter. From the names, the uniform, the expressions, everything was really funny. Sometimes, it's just nice to see simple but funny MVs, no need for a crazy set and outfit.
Just their introduction with the big bottles was already funny.
N really got me in his introduction :)
SONG : Watching Hitmaker really made me say that Defconn is a really great musician. He can create impressive beats. In ep. 2, when they were trying to start on the song, all of his demos were really good. Even his recording for Stress Come On was too good it was hard to top off by Big Byung. Considering that most of them are vocalists, I was really happy about their rapping. I didn't feel any awkwardness at all. What I also liked was the straight forward lyrics. It was just everything that stressed you out, which is very relatable to listeners. Great job to Brave Duble Tiger!
Favourite part goes to every "naega neo ttaeme neo ttaeme neo ttaeme~
naega neo ttaeme neo ttaeme neo ttaeme~".
CHOREO : Seeing from the past episode, the choreo is also comedic and I really want to see it. I hope that they will be able to make it to music shows. Unfortunately the choreo didn't really appear in the MV.
PLOT : The song was about everything that made a person stressed. Again, the MV was comedic so they just rapped with really funny expressions. I seriously don't know what to write anymore OTL *menbong*
FASHION : Since they are new, they had to get their names out there. Solution : have your name right on your shirt. Though it might seem weird, they still made them look cool, clean and funny at the same time. Loved it!
VERDICT : The MV might be about stress but watching it takes my stress away and makes me laugh a LOT. Really great debut from a group that was made by Hyung Don and Defconn. I love them as a group and I hope that this project will last for a long time and also to reach the music show stages. Big Byung Fighting! <3

What's Up, KPOP? Tuesday : BTS (방탄소년단) - Danger

Just 7 hours ago, ibighit and 1theK released BTS's 1st Album comeback MV "Danger".
MV : I am a fan of BTS from the start, but I will try to react to it in a not-biased way but this comeback is just too AMAZING! MV was straight up bad-bum and tough. No need for a female lead that all of them are in love with [pretty sure fans are happy about that.], only great choreography and epic cuts. Really good job to director-nim for making the MV look as strong as it could.
I really like the touch of putting their Outro : Propose [correct me if I'm wrong] from the previous mini-album at the start. With Jungkook playing it on the piano, but in the end smashes. It's like a declaration that a stronger and manlier than ever BTS is back.
SONG : Just from hearing snippets from the teaser, I already thought that it sounds good. But hearing the whole song, it changed to great. With the raps that are smooth but hard as ever, really catchy chorus, and that high notes from Jimin and Jungkook [correct me again if I'm wrong], the song was hip-hop indeed. I guess USA really did something to them. Plus you add Jin's part where they slowed it down a bit, which probably made fangirls melt.
Favourite part goes to -drumroll- Jimin's "hetgallige hajima!~"which lead into the chorus.
CHOREO : BTS is known for really tough and cool-looking choreography and they didn't fail fans this time again. The dance to start off the song was really cool.
In the chorus, was the hand to the neck move. I actually liked that :)
My favourite part is the one below, which probably will be the main point of the dance.
I can't wait to see them perform this on stage. I saw their showcase and it was a very strong stage indeed.
PLOT : The song was about a guy going crazy about how much he loves the girl, but the girl doesn't really care that much. The MV didn't have a real story [they don't really need to anyway] but instead showed the perspective of the guy. His anger and love for the girl. They also just tried to make BTS cool rather than put a story in it :)
If you really think about it, what they are doing isn't very related [maybe just a bit]. Suga was playing basketball, Jimin was boxing, Jungkook had the piano, V was staring at himself, J-hope was dancing, RapMon was writing,and I'm not sure what Jin was doing[flirting with the camera lol]. What's up with the tattoo-ing yourself though? but it did make RapMon look cool, right?. Cool image - the goal for the MV.
FASHION : I guess you can say BTS settled on a fashion thay'd like. They've worn these type of clothes in their shoots and year-end stages. If you think about it, it would be the dark version of their N.O clothes. Cool, Stylish and Tough. It would be what I call, street-hiphop look. Again, applause for their stylists *clap clap*.There was 2 sets of clothes for BTS : Abandoned buliding and Underground Subway.
VERDICT : EPIC COMEBACK. Maybe looking for their 1st win here, seeing that there are definitely a LOT of ARMYs these days. BTS Fighting!~ ^__^

What's Up, KPOP? Tuesday : WINNER - 컬러링 (Color Ring)

Yesterday, YG's new boy group after BigBang, WINNER, has officially debuted with 2 MVs.
MV : I am actually very new to Winner, I might have seen some videos of them but that's it. I didn't watch WIN either. But with that said, I was really impressed with their debut. Some might not like it's sad ballad-y feel, but I am a big fan of music like this and a lot has been supporting them so far. The MV looked very simple but chic. I don't think they need to go overboard with this song and it was just enough. Though the sponsoring might not be, but again the song was related to phones so I guess it is valid. Plot was steady. MV matched the song.
SONG : I loved the song, no doubt. It might not give a debut-feel to some people, but I don't really care. For me good music is good music. It might feel like a type of song from an established group, but doesn't mean they could do it. I guess it could separate them from other groups since most artists these days have been releasing summer-themed MVs while WINNER is here crying under the rain. :)
Though my favourite part definitely goes to Kang Seung Yoon. Great emotional voice for this emotional song :D [fun fact : I have never seen anyone in the streets shout/cry their hearts out. Have you?]
CHOREO : -blank- I'm am not sure, but some said that they are not a dance group. so....... live performances, they'll just need a mic stand each and let the emotions go and make a very impact-ful and strong stage. *thumbs up* or they could recreate the MV on stage :)
PLOT : Obviously a heartbreak song. They miss the girl and keep calling her but she won't answer. and when she does they all gave up. lol. Were they calling the same girl???
and for some reason, I guess, all of them got dumped [probably at the same time] and decided to meet up under the rain. PERFECT.
FASHION : But, daannng guys. These guys look chic as -i don't know since I'm not very chic-. Really big thumbs up to their stylist. They look amazing even with just a monotone colour, maybe just black and white. GUYS! If you are looking for fashion role-models, consider WINNER.
Suits and dressing chic has really been trendy among the men lately.
VERDICT : I like their debut and I will keep an eye out for them since their 2 new songs are really my type of music. And maybe even get the album. Just please don't sit in the bathtub with your nice clothes. What do you even do there? lol. WINNER Fighting!~
