what started as a duel between a former supervillain mentor/mentee duo over who got to stake ownership over their favorite bar ended up to actually be a really gripping story about a pair who were driven apart when the mentor just couldn’t accept that her daughter was gay and dating the mentee, who was out to show that the mother was irrelevant as both a villain and a figure in their lives. amazing stuff!! go get this game and play it! What is Zine-o-Map vs Mini-Adventure?

Zine-o-Map vs Mini-Adventure, or "ZVM", is a 2 book TTRPG adventure zine by David Glass featuring cartography by David and one-page adventures written by Jess Levine, satah, and Rhiannon Daly.

With 35 hand-drawn maps, game runners have a variety of locations to drop into their existing games. For even easier incorporation, the 35 mini-adventures provided in Book 2 are system-neutral can be added to any fantasy campaign in virtually any system.

Let’s face it: dueling is sexy. But do you know what’s sexier than dueling? That slower, higher tension duel that occurs before any damage is done—before any blow is even struck. while the sort of story you tell is always up to you, going rogue is designed to make it easier to tell a specific kind of narrative and explore specific themes. inspired by the more ethically grey conflicts of star wars: rogue one, going rogue is built less to tell the base game's stories of charming heroes who inspire bravery across the galaxy, and more to tell the stories of troubled martyrs. going rogue makes significant use of galactic 2e, but it distinguishes itself in the type of questions it encourages you to explore:

how does cynicism serve us as a coping mechanism? when must we counteract it with hope, and how?

when do caution, principles, and commitment to democracy constrain our ability to act for liberation? when does our willingness to abandon such   ideals undermine that which we’re fighting for?

what is worthy of sacrifice? what might be worth living another day?

60 year old historian Martin Bühler (who identified himself to the press, I do not identify activists without consent) appears to ‘photobomb’ a lot of media images of the G20 in Hamburg. In reality he is a long time observer documenting police brutality. In Hamburg he chose to cultivate the most non-activist ‘white bystander in a suit with a bike’ look he could manage and casually walked in front of police. As police slowed down or interrupted attacks and waited for the ‘bystander’ to get out of the way (being caught on camera trashing what look like bystanders is bad press after all), activists had time to regroup or retreat.

Friends, this is important: four families in Philly were scammed out of deposits by a fake landlord and moved into a house the "landlord" didn't own and that wasn't ready or safe for people to live in. They need deposit money for a new place, fast. Please donate if you can, and share either way.
