I've been finishing up pieces that have sat around for a bit, and did a repair or two for a coworker, but while I finish up my current binge-rewatch (Star Trek TNG, yaaaaaas 💜💜💜) I decided I needed arrows. I love these little hematite chevron beads I bought; they're perfect for this. And with some inspiration from my nephew, who has recently taken up the Rubix Cube - I NEVER had the attention span to work the techniques, but always watched the people who did with awe - I've worked up three new bracelets. I'd done the first, the one with the black, before I reminded myself what the six Rubix colours actually are, but I think it works anyway. I really want/need more gemstone bracelets, but I'm that picture of the person with their face smushed against the window moaning about their "pakidge~~~~~" right now waiting for the tracking on my latest @firemountaingems order to update. I had a very different plan for today involving finishing another panel on the gaming snuggie I'm knitting for myself (yet another of my 6000 projects from my twenty various craft disciplines and additional hobbies, thank you ADD), but when I woke up this morning my brain decided to go "HEY YOU NEED SPORTS BALL EARRINGS/CHARMS". Basketball was first because it was one of the sports I actually DID try outside of gym class in my mostly-otherwise-arts-dominated school career. When you're a jeweller, you spend your birthday making sparkly things and binge-watching Disney+. I don't make the rules. First pic are lampworked glass bead hung from coordinated aluminum chain. Varying necklace lengths, from 16" to 20-ish", $20 each. Next are the earrings I'm waiting to finish curing. This resin takes FOREVER to cure, but the holographic star confetti will make it 100% worth it. Probably $7/pair once they're ready. Spending my last day of 31 trying out my latest mold from @sophieandtoffee - when I saw last month's Disney theme box was Beauty and the Beast, I sure AF wasn't going to let that pass (despite having WAY TOO MANY of their molds already for personal use - they have KEYBLADE ONES 😭💜!) I didn't buy the WHOLE box, but I got some really cute open bezels and some transparent films of Belle and the gang that I haven't tried yet either; I finally got the tape I need to seal the backs on the bezels first, but right now I've been filling these panels for like three hours straight and I'm going to eat lunch and do my dailies for Dreamlight Valley to let this set before I pour a clear back and let it cure completely. I PROBABLY won't sell these except on commission - they're a TON of effort and thus would cost a fair bit of money, and also we all know how persnickety Ouu-sama can get over that sort of thing - but I'm sure not going to tell you no if you want one! During this past weekend's show at @barriepubliclibrary , their yearly Barrie Public Library Comic Fest, I discovered that I desperately needed to spend some time with my Cricut making more earring cards, lol. I'd like to move away from the little plastic bags I've been using to keep them neat and untangled while in storage.
