Hamas didn’t give them a change of clothes for their whole captivity, EXCEPT the day they were released. Doctors who have checked them had said they were starved. Many, including the 12 year old kid was forced to watch videos from the October 7th massacre. He was laughed at when he cried. They were beat. The two younger girls said that they weren’t given privacy even in the bathroom, hamas told them they had no family waiting for them at home, and that if they told the world show they were treated after they left that they would find them and kill them.
Anyone saying that they were well treated is spreading terrorist propaganda and contributing to war crimes and child abuse.
Also, hamas has lied, broken the hostage agreement a few times- and has still not released the ten month old and the red haired kids- claiming that they gave them to a different terrorist group.
If you believe Hamas and not protesting you are putting letting terrorist abuse children.
So many comments around the internet about the returned hostages looking “clean”. What fucking Hollywood reality have you been living in? Do they need to smear themselves with shit for you to have the most basic level of sympathy? Did you think Hamas would deliver them bleeding with torn clothes?
These people’s whole families and communities have been brutally massacred. In what reality do you think they got along with the people who murdered their loved ones???

The way some people, mostly westerners, who claim to support Palestine have acted about the Israeli hostages is honestly one of the most insane things I've ever seen. Going out of the way to tear down their posters, openly mocking their families for grieving or worrying they were being abused, joking that they probably wished they could stay for the great cuisine, and even writing fanfiction about them secretly being in love with their kidnappers? I can't think of any similar situations that have produced this kind of deranged reaction, not on this scale at least.
It's fair to argue Palestinians have been *radicalized* due to decades of oppression by Israel and that them expressing contempt for Israelis held hostage is reasonable given that reality. But 99.9% of the people doing these things are not Palestinian, nor are they oppressed. Most of them didn't even care about this conflict before October.

On November 26, Dafna (15) and Ela (8) Elyakim returned home to Israel from Hamas' captivity in Gaza after 51 days, reuniting with their mother, Maayan Zin.
Tumblr media
On October 7th, Dafna and Ela were abducted from Kibbutz Nahal Oz after Hamas terrorists executed their father, Noam Elyakim, his wife, Dikla Arava, and Dikla's son Tomer Arava (17). [A/N: It's unclear if they witnessed it, or only learned of it later].
In an interview on Channel 11, the girls' grandmother told some of their story:
The girls were taken together into Gaza in a vehicle. They said on the way in, stones were thrown at them; one hit Dafna's back.
Additionally, Hamas used psychological terror on the two, telling them no one was waiting for them back home. She also mentioned their captors didn't give the girls any privacy when they were allowed to use the bathroom.
Even after her release, Dafna refused to be photographed. She said the terrorists threatened her, saying that if she told people what happened in captivity, Hamas knows where her family lives and would come to kill her.

I hate to say it but everyone saying there's Pre-Holocaust vibes are correct
We're seeing a massive spread of unchecked, unrepentant antisemitism spreading quicker with social media now. People are cheering on murdered Jewish kids and then fact checking us to tell us it didn't happen
Blood libel is gaining traction like never before all the while Jews in the Diaspora are being attacked
So to all you proud Nazi Punchers, I must ask,
Why are you standing by, letting this happen, repeating things the Nazis could only dream of? Why aren't you standing up, dismantling antisemitism in your movement, helping Jews once again forced to hide in their homes?
Or was it never about protecting Jews? Just about protecting your egos

“Im not antisemitic I just automatically disbelieve everything Jews say about antisemitism unless I am walked through each fact step by step, like a child, and even then I might deny it all and accuse them of trying to hide some ulterior motive!”
“I’m not antisemitic I just don’t trust Jews!

Palestine: *illegally invades Israel and begins to murder civilians, including children and literal infants*
Israel: *fights back in self-defense*
Everyone: "No, no you are not supposed to do that! Free Palestine, and if you oppose terrorists, you're a bigot yourself. What did Gaza do to deserve this!?"

“Why do I get accused of being antisemitic just because I’m anti-Zionist. Being anti-Zionist doesn’t mean I hate Jews? Criticizing Israel isn’t antisemitic!”
I mean, yes, criticism of Israel isn’t inherently antisemitic. No government is or should be beyond criticism.
HOWEVER
Tumblr media
This was a tag on an anti-Zionist post going around. And what I found noteworthy - other than the person’s antisemitism and Wild lack of critical thinking skills - was that no one in the notes had anything to say about it. Nobody in the anti-Zionist space where this was being passed around looked at these words and thought, “huh, maybe I should call this person in or maybe even out. My views are not represented by this.”
Nope. None of that. Everyone just went on with their day and, more than that, reblogged without comment.
If this is the kind of sentiment you allow to exist in your spaces unchecked? You’re antisemitic. I don’t care what your thoughts are on Israel or Palestine, I don’t care that you have a Jewish friend or relative, I don’t care that you protested with JVP. If you are okay with this rhetoric, Jews are no safer with you than they are at a meeting of the Aryan Brotherhood. Because either you agree with this sentiment, or you’ll sit there silently and watch while those who do agree with this sentiment act to harm us.
This is why ardent anti-Zionism from people without a personal connection to the issue makes so many Jews so wary. Because a lot of those folks? Hang out with people like the one above.
If there’s a table with 10 Nazis at it and you sit down to have lunch with them, then there’s a table with 11 Nazis.

We all know Hamas are evil murderers who don’t even try to hide the fact that they’re inhumane as they broadcast their sickening acts for the world to see.
But can we all take a moment to appreciate sanctimonious Tumblr terrorist-sympathisers?
How many instances are there of comments or messages from this platform’s best and brightest that threaten someone pro-Israel with violence?
How many comments are there telling supporters of Israel to kill themselves or some other wildly inventive iteration of the insult? Even on posts that are mourning the deaths of the innocent, and condemning the brutal murders of men, women, children, and animals, these people are relentless.
I do often wonder what they think comments like that achieve relative to their larger cause. It doesn’t solve anything at all, and if anything, hinders support for their side if the only meaningful additions they can make are death threats.
It’s very telling that they can’t make any coherent arguments or rebuttals and they resort to aggressive ad hominem attacks. They don’t have anything significant or mature to contribute to the discourse. They don’t want to engage in the conversation.
It’s almost as if their instincts are to just automatically attack someone for their beliefs and call for violence against them… like terrorists…
Birds of a feather, eh?

hey there! non jewish person here. one thing that ive come across a lot over the past few weeks in leftist spaces online is the claim that europeans basically made their hatred of jewish people “the middle east's problem”. i by no means want to minimise europeans grotesque and widespread antisemitism that culminated in the most horrific genocide of the 20th century. but it feels a lot like saying that antisemitism was an exclusively european issue?? when as far as I know there's many middle eastern jews living in israel whose ancestors fled from middle eastern countries due to antisemitism? do i have that wrong? i even remember reading about a palestinian leader meeting with hitler. again, just to make things clear, my intention is NOT to minimise european nations bigotry and hatred for jewish people. or how the role they played in the creation of a jewish state was less about jewish people having a safe haven and more (entirely) about wanting to expel jewish people from their countries. but it feels like many leftists are trying to misrepresent antisemitism as a modern european invention atp. which undermines the very long and brutal history of antisemitic persecution that predates most European powers and has reached far beyond europe geographically...
You're right, antisemitism is not a European invention. Jews were massacred for hundreds of years in the middle east, and yes many middle eastern leaders allied with the Nazis and ethnically cleansed their Jewish populations or kicked them out during WWII. The Palestinian leader you're talking about is Mohammed Amin al-Husseini and he is called the Nazi Mufti for a reason. People don't want to admit that Muslim countries have an antisemitism problem.

The insanely stupid arguments I get for being Israel-
Go back to where to came from- I’m living in my homeland. You go back to where you come from.
Your oppressing so just go die- so are you saying every American person should die because America has oppressed Africans, and Native Americans- yet you only say Israelis should die.
Ceasefire now- once the hostages are home, seems you don’t care about them but we do. Hamas has broken every ceasefire in the past, so no we won’t do it on their terms, we’ll do it once we get our people back.
Children are dying- rockets are falling on Israel and you don’t care. If you wanted to help the children you would force hamas to let them go to a safe space, but instead you allow Hamas to use their people as human shields to justify this war.
Israelis are white- most Israelis are from the Middle East, whether they are from Iran, Yemen, they are Druz, Bedouin etc. they are Ethiopian Jews , Moroccan Jews. Also European Jews aren’t white, not by European standards. As of now, Jews are the minority that revives the most hatred in the United States.
A lot of Palestinians don’t want a two state solution, they want to kill all Israelis and you don’t criticize them. You let them take down posters of innocent civilians, you let them cheer on our deaths. You let them attack Jewish people- and yet you call yourselves progressive.
