controversial take maybe but disabled people reporting workers (underpaid or not) for being ableist towards them e.g. literally endangering their health and safety is not "problematic" even if you see it as antithetical to leftism lol like if u seriously expect disabled people (especially those w/o jobs and/or are on benefits) to just sit there and stomach violence being enacted against them for the sake of working class solidarity or w/e then fuck you honestly.

having adhd means every time you leave your room to perform a task you accidentally complete three completely different tasks instead before finally doing the intended task. and what that means is you do a side quest task, go back to your room, realize you fucked up, leave your room again, only to find another random cool side quest task you wanna do first AGAIN. SURELY this time you’ll remember to do the ACTUAL task you need to do after. rinse and repeat

Dear (no) Western "leftists" who don't believe the Ukrainians, justify Russia in any way or say "not everything is so simple"
1) Firstly, you aren't "leftists" at all, but opportunists, accomplices of the fascists. Yes, in Ukraine there are big problems with right-wing groups and their sphere of influence. But you know what? The problem with the popularity of right-wing ideologies exists throughout Eastern Europe. And do you know which country with fascist forces has the biggest problems? Ukrainian right-wing and right-wing politics, closely associated with the oligarchy, were more of a threat to democracy at home. But Russian fascism has grown into imperialism, which set itself the goal of "expanding the living space" to foreign territory, with the genocide of civilians.
2) Secondly, you're also Western-centrists, because you think that NATO is the only imperialist, and all problems in the world are considered from an American point of view. I personally have no doubts about NATO war crimes, but I still risk being killed by a missile from a Russian aircraft or drone.
3) Third, if you think the Russian government is being "demonized" or "misunderstood" in the West, then you don't fucking understand Russian politics. The West for years - even after 2014 - sponsored the Russian regime and sold weapons to it. Even incidents such as the poisoning of Navalny couldn't stop the West. To be on the left side is to see the consolidation of political elites and capital, and not to come out as shit because of the sympathy of the Western press towards Ukraine.
4) Fourthly, your "but they didn't write so much about Yemen / Syria / Sudan" - absolutely useless. With your moralizing tweets, you aren't helping the children and adults of these countries in any way, but you're additionally making worse for the Ukrainians, who are still in very bad situation. Btw, which country fought on the side of Assad and used chemical weapons?
5) Fifthly, you're schismatics. Despite the fact that the world needs a powerful left movement more than ever, you fight with the Ukrainian leftists, Russian and Belarusian leftists who oppose the war, even with your American and European colleagues you can't get along. Despite the fact that the goal of the leftists is to build an international movement, where class interests are higher than national ones.

A video I was watching about Israel and Palestine spoke about how much the Free Tibet movement used to be popular. The two situations are not directly comparable, but both involve criticism of governments. I went to a few meetings in high school, and they used to be very popular on college campuses. Although I advocated for a free Tibet, you know what? I always still had a love for China and Chinese culture too. I NEVER let my criticism of the government change that. The most hardcore thing I ever did was refuse to watch the 2008 Summer Olympics, but even then I still loved Chinese culture and even wanted to learn Mandarin someday (I still do!). I would’ve happily joined a Free Tibet organization *and* a Chinese cultural association and seen 0 conflict of interest. The government and the people were separate in my mind. One big problem with the modern Free Palestine movement is that there are very few active members who even accept Israeli culture or Israeli people as being valid at all in organizations like SJP and BDS (I’m not talking about Palestinian members specifically here- I’m talking about people in general in those organizations, which usually attract a lot of different kinds of people from all backgrounds.) Some extremists even think civilian deaths of Israeli civilians are justified. The government is forever the same as the people and culture in some peoples’ minds. I’m sure there were a select few extremists in the Free Tibet movement back in the day, but honestly it was mostly hippies who could separate criticism of the government from the general Chinese population/culture. Unfortunately, nowadays I see a lot of Chinese people being lumped in with their government due to everything in the news though. Jews are not responsible for the actions of the Israeli government, but about half the world’s Jews live in Israel, and Israel is forever connected to Jewish cultures. There are some populations of Jews residing there (Yemenite, Egyptian, Tunisian, Kurdish, and many more) who would be almost completely wiped out if everyone in Israel were killed. But they are continuously falsely labeled as all being “white colonizers” who are complicit in the occupation simply because they live there. This is part of the antisemitism that many Jews are talking about when they say that too often criticism of Israel turns antisemitic. Do the work to separate the Israeli government from the Israeli people and culture, and call out others who don’t
