i am in the dumbest, saddest mood today, so i'm gonna just post headcanons i have as i think of them.
roderich is the queen of forgetting to eat; the shakies have to remind him, but unfortunately for him, he also has as really bad sweet tooth so that's what he usually picks. which is yummy but doesn't always help the shakes. which doesn't help the migraines. this is another reason why elizabeta isn't too far away from this dummy, and why feli will drop in randomly.

SpAus headcanons i've been sitting on (historical and angsty) (part 1/??)
brief warning, i tend to have a bit of a darker view of antonio, especially during this time period. i also don't headcanon roderich as actually being catholic, but he was raised in that tradition (re: my headcanon about him being a foster-hostage at one point)
antonio was the one who requested/insisted on the marriage with roderich instead of relying only on the hapsburg-trastamara marriage. not due to love, as they didn't know each other, but more from pragmatism and a concern over the fact that spain itself was relatively recently unified and he didn't want to risk a shaky alliance.
antonio fell in love with roderich almost immediately upon marrying him. roderich was much more reserved and apprehensive, but tried to be a good spouse, if somewhat stunted with showing affection.
during this time, antonio was incredibly greedy (as most of the european nations were) but was particularly possessive of roderich's time, despite the fact he was often away.
roderich was lonely during a good portion of their marriage, even though he was quite busy running his own household still. he attempted to be a good catholic spouse, but did frequently become frustrated with antonio's affairs, notably with francis and arthur. eventually, roderich began to have his own affairs, leading to further tension in the marriage.
roderich embroidered many of antonio's shirts during their marriage, and antonio still has them. he has them preserved so they don't degrade.
antonio also still has both a miniature portrait and full sized portrait of roderich painted by Juan van der Hamen, (which i have heavily based on 'offering to flora, 1627') antonio briefly thought he lost the miniature post WWI and was inconsolable.

imo roderich has the attention of erzsi and gil by just being himself, by just mere existing. however, if for whatever reason rod tries to psychoanalyze any of those two or both, it will get them irritated. both would feel uncomfortable, the conversation turning too personal and intrusive, also thinking is condescending.
gil would hate any "psycho-bullshit", disliking anything that could make him feel vulnerable or get under his facade. meanwhile, erzsi would be like "i'm not some kind of patient for you talk to me like that, cut that shit right now". in other words, it would be the worst way to attempt to have a heart to heart.
otoh i think to帽o wouldn't even notice lmao, at least not after a while. antonio does have some anger or a definitely-not-cheerful side, i wonder if rode has seen that (i'd assume he has).

kid ludwig reacting to rod and gil fighting: more or less used to it, expected, just look at the whole unification history and before that. annoys him but can't do much about it.
reacting to gil and erzsi fighting: wonders why his big bro is like that, worries gil will get momentarily injured, otherwise same reaction as above.
reacting to rod and erzsi fighting: upset, feeling akin to a child seeing their parents fight. to his side, he sees gil with binoculars happy about the situation, which makes lud assume, already as a child, that he is condemned to be the mature one of the four.

My the biggest headcanon about Prussia is that he is super religious. Before the dinner, he and Germany pray. He also probably goes to church every Sunday and maliciously hates Catholicism (he see it as the reason of the death of other knight countries).
Fan-fact, so called old Fritz for a period of time courted Maria Theresia but they couldn't get married cause Hapsburgs were catholic.
