Guys I forgot how good My Sisters Keeper, by Jodi Picoult is. It’s the perfect mix of loving every character but also being mad at them the entire time and deals with the stress of family issues really well

I got this book yesterday and I’m already halfway through it. The Bright Sessions is one of my absolute favorite podcasts and it is such a treat to get to see the characters in a new way. Having the audiobook narrated by Briggon Snow and James Founey will be great. There couldn’t be anyone better to do the job.
Hello my strange and unusual family!
As many of you know, my first novel, The Infinite Noise, comes out September 24th (oh my god, that’s in less than a month, that’s BONKERS). The book is available for pre-order right. now. and comes with a lot of cooooool stuff if you pre-order before the 23rd. A phone background, a brand new Caleb/Adam fluff-fest in the form of a bonus chapter, and a podcast of Briggon and I gabbing about music. So be sure to check out that preorder here!
But, that’s not what I want to talk to you about today. I’m here to announce who will be reading the audiobook for this novel. We are extremely lucky to have Briggon Snow reading for Caleb Michaels and James Fouhey reading for Adam Hayes.
I’m sure you all recognize the name Briggon Snow - he has been the voice, and heart, of Caleb since Day 1. And, of course, Alex Gallner has lent his beautiful voice and spirit to Adam in the podcast and will always be our podcast Adam. But this book is an expansion of what you’ve heard in the podcast, not a direct adaptation of episodes. And for the audiobook, we wanted to expand the community of people who have built this story and it was important to us to select a mixed-race actor as Adam.
James is an unbelievably talented actor who has worked on a ton of audiobooks. He’s voiced some amazing work in the YA fiction community by authors Tahereh Mafi, Heidi Heilig, Patrick Ness, Anna-Marie McLemore, and more. I’m so thrilled to have him joining the Atypical universe.
This audiobook is going to be a wonderful new addition to the Caleb/Adam romance and I can’t wait for you all to hear it. No, really, I can’t wait. At all. So go into your podcast feeds right now and take a listen to excerpts from Chapters 5 & 6.
Stay strange!

I started the podcast Girl In Space two days ago and now only have one episode left until I’m done with the first season. I binged it. Simple as that. I literally could not stop listening. The characters are funny and relatable and Kai is adorable and I can’t deal. I honestly can’t wait to continue listening.

Beetlejuice is another great musical I had the amazing privilege to see on Saturday. This was hilarious. I was laughing 95% of the time and the other 5% of the time I felt like I was going to cry. Sophia Anne Caruso has an incredible voice and amazing stage presence. Alex Brightman made me laugh without fail for a solid 2 1/2 hours. The set was RIDICULOUS and the puppets were really really well done. It was a great performance by the whole cast.

Okay, so anyone who watched the Tony Awards should know about this one. Hadestown took Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Lighting Design, Best Scenic Design, Best Orchestration, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role. After seeing this yesterday I can say that it deserves every award it got. This is an artistic masterpiece. I highly recommend to anyone who likes Greek mythology, musicals, love stories, great trombone playing, and beautiful singing.

Bird by Bird
I just finished Bird by Bird, by Anne Lamott. This is a book of essays on writing for writers who love writing and are looking to get better. Lamott writes this in away that is funny, relatable, and makes the reader want to continue reading. I highly recommend this book to any writer who is looking to improve his or her craft.
