This might be a little weird, but your vent comics help me a lot... It's a little bit okayer for me when I read them...

I wish they hadn't hurt you, I wish they hadn't hurt me, I wish they hadn't hurt us (all the people who feel identified reading those comics), but I wanted to say thank you. It's weird, I know, I don't even know if you mean those comics to help others or if they had any intention beside venting...

They still had an impact, one that is helping me right now... I don't know if it makes it a little bit okayer for you... I wish there was a way to repay the (accidental?) kindness you have put in this world through your comics

i enjoy making comics and art to help me organize my thoughts when i have difficult feelings. sometimes those comics have resonated with people and that's something i treasure very deeply!

i know it's an incredibly painful and isolating experience when someone you trust flips the script on you. i'd like to discuss some more of my specific experiences in the future in comics, but we'll see if i ever get around to making them. i've gotten decently close to being moved on from things, which is something i'm also quite proud of.

ultimately, time heals better than any comic could. (and also realizing that people who treat you like shit are Pathetic Losers, which is very sad, and unfortunately may always be, which is kind of funny. that's a pretty healing realization.) and hearing from folks who were in similar situations as me and were comforted by my works, that's been pretty healing for me, too. :)

godspeed out there. it'll get better. sometimes it'll hurt a lot more, sometimes it'll hurt a lot less, and one day you'll have something much better than you ever had to deal with from them.
