I’m relatively new to the fandom, and I was wondering, what exactly is dannypocalypse? How does one “celebrate”?
So the Dannypocalypse THE holiday for the danny phantom phandom. Apri 3rd is the anniversary of DP, so a few years back the phandom decided to switch their tumblr icons to this super duper cursed screengrab of Danny.
This one.
But that wasn’t enough. Of course it wasn’t!
So then the phandom decided to make memes.
Using That Face.
Once the memes started, they couldn’t be stopped. And then Danny Phantom trended that year, and rumors of a reboot from non-phandom people started, and the internet was wilding out cuz why tf was DP trending??
And of course, the phandom thought this was fucking hilarious. So every year now we make a whole holiday of it. We create memes, gifs, videos, songs, vines, tik toks, wHaTeVeR, and then on April 3rd whenever midnight hits in our timezone, we unleash the kraken into the depths of TUmblr dot com.
Without fail, every year since this began we have been #1 trending. We’ve also managed to hit trending on Twitter and Instagram too. It’s really such a fucking chaotic evil event I mean who could resist?
So yeah! We celebrate by taking this face
and photoshopping it onto whatever our heart desires. Anyone’s allowed to participate, whether you’re involved with the phandom or not! It’s all a big meme anyways so the more the merrier!
