That was something that Silver could understand completely. "But where to?" The Messiah spoke with a frown crossing his face. The hedgehog was completely unaware of the dangers that swirled around the two, and although he was completely ready to fight them, there was uncertainty from it.
"Out!"
Tails pleaded, his hands coming up to grab the others hand. No
time for arguments, they all just needed to leave. His robots
wouldn't last much longer as a distraction , and if they didn't
leave now...
Tails was not going to leave anyone in Eggman's clutches. Even
if it meant to put himself in danger.

Shadow.
To put it rather bluntly, he had no idea
what was going on in these parts, and
he really didn’t want to know either. If
anything high-tailing out of here was a
good idea, but he didn’t have the energy
to do that quite yet. Being hopelessly
lost was perhaps his best bet, although
making the other antsy wasn’t going to
help either. Shadow tended to have that
effect on people regardless.
“That right? Needs work.”
Really. That was— too easy, and if the
fox was going to use them in self defense,
well, there was going to be a rude awakening.
“Namely, their detection system.”
A loud huff left him, frustrated by his situation.
The answer Tails gave him irritated him a
bit further though. Ugh.
“No thanks. Just because I do their dirty
work doesn’t mean I owe them my soul.
The nearest map would be fine enough
for me, really.”
His words left him perhaps a bit too harshly,
folding his arms across his chest.
"They were intrusion bots to distract
Eggman's forces and cause a loud
alpha wave to roll the film on his
tapes."
His tails twisted, and the fox huffed loudly, the tension he once had
seeming to disappear for a second before the words on G.U.N.
tensed him straight back. His fingers curled and he looked away.
That seemed ...
{ too good to be true }
All three sectors typically asked a great deal of their members,
including blind faith. Tails himself had difficulty with anything these
days, including giving that trust to them so blindly. Offering up his
hands for cuffs to wrap around and break a line between fur and
skin. The very first time he'd stepped into a town and been
recognized had been a nightmare. Something that had caused
the skittish fox to run as fast as he could away.
His tails shifted back and forth.
"...that's a little difficult, most
maps are in towns, or at
least ... the updated ones."
With the destruction of a major city and the parting of the world in
three sectors, Tails was left trailing down Eggman's fortresses to
get any information. This resorted in him knowing his way around
the evil scientists area quite well, but ... anywhere else?
"...and with the way you
are ... or you as-in ..."
Tails shook his head ... "Look, it just wouldn't
work very well to get
one."

Queue him cocking his head to the side with a look of confusion. "Could you repeat that? Just slower?"
"We need to leave."
The fox decided to go for a bit of a different approach, cobalt eyes
narrowing in frustration at his earlier words being misunderstood.
"Now."

Tails.
"Wait, do you have a way back to your…uh, zone?" As confused as he is about that sort of thing, he wanted to know if the other had any way back. Getting stuck somewhere can’t really be good. And that brought up another question in his mind. How did he even get here? Actually, he should be asking that to everyone else that came as well.
"Well, if I didn't, I'd figure
one out."
Tails was not known to 'getting stuck'. He was insightful, inventive,
and very clever for his age. It didn't matter that he was only twelve,
he was just as smart as the rest of their members, if not more-so.
For this instance, he needed to grab a few bots from this
Eggman's Zone, and then he could tinker with them until he got
the right reaction. It was easy enough, he'd been perfecting it on
his own for weeks now.
"Don't think too hard on it,
I'm sure you'll figure it out
after all, I know it."
He gave a cheeky half-smile, thumb flicking over his black nose,
"And we're both Tails! So
anything I learn, it's
possible for you, too!"
He turned, beginning to leave before he paused, the hesitation
clear upon his face before he turned, serious expression
darkening once (albiet awkward,) bright features.
"Don't attempt coming to my Zone."
It was a warning. Clear as that. If this Tails attempted such a
thing, there would only be bad ends for him. Shifting, Tails
began to leave at that, tails twirling behind him.

Shadow.
Hm. Interesting reactions. He didn’t
normally expect such a reaction from
the fox, and so all Shadow had to do
was chalk it up to the fact he’d accidentally
topped dimensions or something. Damn,
how did he do that? Whatever, not important.
He raised his chin, red eyes casting down
on the younger individual. Not of disgust
or some superiority, but more of a display
of false confidence, because what he was
about to admit wasn’t something he’d usually.
”I’m lost. That’s it.”
A grunt escaped him, ears flicking around.
”I had to trash some scrap metal on
the way here, I’ll tell you that much.”
Wait a minute. His eyes narrowed, giving a rather un-impressed look
to the black-and-red hedgehog. Pointed ear being let go as they
flicked backwards. His original stance straightening a bit more. Yes,
this he was going to be safe ... for now. There was no worries if
what this person said was true.
{ it's probably not. }
The thought breathed, worming itself inside the anxious vixens ears,
his own eyes looking Shadow up and down carefully. A display of
insecurity, paranoia, unsure whether to believe the person in front of
him or not. There was always the chance he was being led into a
trap. Pretending to be from a different Zone, lead him somewhere
and then ...
Would he be used as bait?
Would he learn what did
happen?
"...those were probably my
re-designed bots, if they
were close ... "
That would explain why things had gone silent earlier, leaving him
with eerie silence. "But ... if you just need
directions back to GUN's
sector, I can give you
that."
He shifted, glancing away, scratching the back of his head as the
fox, unsure, licked at his lips. He would leave out the part he was
not going into that sector, he couldn't for fear of ... well.
To put it bluntly:
Getting caught.

Shadow.
Now this was bound to get interesting.
Emerging from the shrouds that were
cast around them he appeared nonchalant,
A brow quirking as he looked at the kit
with mild interest and mild indifference.
”I wasn’t aware that I was making
myself so scarce. Did it scare you?”
He was teasing now, a small, toothy smirk
appearing on tanned muzzle. Mocking the
other had its satisfaction at first, although
it faded as once again, his severe expression
returned.
”Don’t get your tails in a knot just yet.”
Uh-oh.
Shadow. Shadow, as in the Shadow from his world that was
looking for him Shadow or ...?
There was a short shake of his head . No. If this were that
Shadow, then he'd be already incapacitated. That, Tails
knew for certain. And it scared him. Fingers lifted, tugging at
his right ear, pulling it down, hard, as eyes skirted away.
Said tails twirling in discomfort.
"No." Tails said shortly,
lie obvious upon his
tongue. "What do you
want, Shadow?"
His chest was twisting, tightening awful horribly. It hurt, and
the worry that his initial suspicion of being in another zone
would stop Shadow from his zones shadow from finding
him was beginning to wane on his mind. Feet shifting,
already knowing he couldn't outstep Shadow, and instead
working on keeping his tails ready to jump out of the way.

Ears flicked backwards as eyes narrowed precariously for a moment.
It did indeed take a while to get used to having to focus his hearing
with one ear mainly was difficult, but he could do it.
"I know you're there."
It was more of a guess, cobalt eyes turning around, the showing of his
'preferred' side by how he turned, left ear forward.
"You can come out

He wondered why, but decided to not bother asking. Maybe he didn’t meet enough of them, like him, as he had only met a few including this one so far. He suddenly yawned. He didn’t get much sleep last night. Maybe he should get some tonight.
"I don’t know what else to ask you anyway."
"Well that's fine, you know."
So long as he knew that the Sonic here was ... well ... alright,
and that himself, his best friend, companion, whatever it
was, was living comfortably with all their friends ... That's
all that concerned the golden lupine, his tails shifting back
and forth in his content state of mind.
"Though now, I should
probably be on my
way."
He could see the tired black rings about this doubles eyes
and had a good idea to leave the other at that. A hand
lifting to wave a hand lightly. "I'll be on my way, then!"

Sonic.
Easy, simple job as always. Get in, and mess around with the place just enough so that it would slowly break down and collapse without any evidence pointing to him. Quick an easy.
He was just racing back out when something caught his eye- making him stop and back up. The hedgehogs eyes widened slowly seeing the yellow fox he’d been searching for, his little buddy hacking into Eggmans system. Sonic stared just in shock as Tails spun around and froze too seeing him.
”T-Tails?”
It wasn’t another alternate, it was his buddy, alive and safe.. and still getting into trouble. Without much warning Sonic had taken off and ran to Tails and within a second had the boy in a tight hug.
“You’re okay! Y-You’re alive!?!”
Tails moved, quick, spinning awkwardly to catch his near fall backwards as arms were quick to envelope the golden fox. A sharp yip escaped Tails' mouth, the tight hug squeezing the smaller bone-set that the fox had, cobalt hues clenching shut as hands opened wide, twitching fingers unsure if to return the hug, to push the blue hedgehog away or to just sit there dumbly.
He ended up doing the final option of the three, eyes slowly opening to stare into blue quills, unsure of how to respond.
What should he do? What reaction should he give? This was still his best friend, and none of the information he's retrieved revealed exactly what had happened those several months ago. He still felt confused with all the different information slammed into him at once. Ears slowly tilted back as quivering fingers, eyes swelling with water.
He wanted to hug him. Sonic had never abandoned him before, Sonic had always been open to talking with him, Sonic had always been good to him. The person here, right now, holding onto him, talking to him, was still Sonic. Yet ... His mind was mixed up as his head ducked into the white fur of Sonic, feeling metal against his back from the hug, he could only assume what that was.
Tails' hands shakily lifted, clutching against Sonic.
"Idiot, I'm the one who's
supposed to say that."
Because all of the information he had retrieved claimed Sonic to be either a criminal or dead. Wanted alive or dead. Friends, all of them, being searched for, being confused on whether or not they had helped with a plot to cause a giant explosion ...
Slowly, with a hard swallow, fingers moved to push Sonic away, closing eyes again, tilting his head to the side to avoid revealing the emotional turmoil for now. He could not take this time. He had to either grab the information or leave. Now. The disturbance would be sending by another security bot, and when that happened, the chip he'd implanted in his own would be destroyed, causing the chip applied to roll repeating film in the camera's would reveal the two of them standing in Eggman's facility.
Rubbing his eyes, his ears twitched, pulling forward from their backward position and the golden furred animal breathed. His tails moving back and forth in agitation, knowledge of the system, he had to think, had to get out of there, but how?
{ Vents }
Yes, the vents! They were only a couple of feet off the ground, he could easily--
"You need to leave, Sonic."
He looked up, eyes peaking from between fingers,
"Before any of the cameras
stop working and see you."
Sonic is and would forever be his best friend. Tails could not forget that, could never forget that, even if all the muscles in his body is screaming for him to ask questions he can't. Eyes lift, blue hues now revealing a slight reddish tint from water early being spilled, questions begin to build in his muzzle. "Go. The security bot is going to be arriving any second now!"
His hands move, beginning to push Sonic away, "We can't talk here anyway!"
He'd seen the handcuffs, felt them against his fur, seen the look upon Sonic's face, seen just how confused, how happy he was, but he couldn't let Sonic have that at this moment. They were both going to be in trouble if they didn't leave. They would both be caught, as Tails was also wanted, and in Eggman's forces, there would be no guarantee of what would happen to him.
"Please!"

"Yeah..."
Still, Tails shifted backwards slightly. Kind of wishing for some type of cover. It had been a long while since he'd sat down and talked to someone --other than himself or the robots he built-- so this was ... a little unnerving for the golden fox, to say the least. His ears twitched back, then forward.
"I won't have all the answers though,
my knowledge is ... limited. I don't
interact with the doubles a good
deal of the time."

"Come to think of it, it does make more sense." Well, at least that part was cleared up. However, the question is would he be able to tell if the others he sees would be alternates too? He decided to keep that in his head and just eventually discover for himself. There was no way he was going to get an accurate answer for it. He rubbed his head a bit, trying to think of what other questions he might have.
