・↷ the way i loved you - an ace x reader drabble  . . . ♡ ˚.⁀➷
synopsis: it's been months since you last saw ace and every single doubt in your head, is suddenly remedied.
(gender neutral!)
being in love with fire fist ace was something that you had never accounted for. you were a regular townsperson that helped around your family's shop and did your daily chores. however, one look at the beautiful portgas d. ace and you were done. you had never felt this strongly about anybody and you knew that your fate had been sealed.
marines became part of your day to day, wondering where ace was and all of them left with the same conclusion - you had no clue. they didn't want any issues with the civilians and to be frank, there was no evidence that ace had been around your town for the longest while.
your connection with ace was special. it was beyond words. you had understood that his heart was with his nakama, his dreams; while you had your own dreams back on land. it brought a few teary eyed conversations, but the two of you had mentioned to power through it. as you did with everything else.
however, one morning, you decide to walk to the shore. it's early in the morning and you're layering fabric on fabric. you were half asleep and you had no idea what you were doing here... until you did. until a familiar brunette made his way to the sand with his bright orange hat and his soft smile. you couldn't help but blink back the tears in your eyes as you dropped around his own body.
"woah, slow down there." he says, a little laugh leaving his mouth as he's hit with your crushing body. wails left your body and he couldn't help but coo. he brushed your hair gently, giving you a gentle comfort that nobody else could. "did you miss me?" he says, his playful nature always present and you looked at up.
your eyes were already swollen and your nose was absolutely puffed. he gave you a soft smile. one of those smiles that were reserved for just you and gave you a gentler hug. he knew he had been gone for longer. he knew that by being acquianted with him, you'd be in constant trouble - yet you never gave up. he was the love of your life.
"i missed you." you say, between hiccups and between so many tears.
"and i missed you, my girl." he finishes with such delicacy. there's love in the air and for once, everything is okay. ace is home and you're happy that your lover is back to hold you. even if it's a few nights.

・↷ bitter tangerine - a xiao x reader drabble  . . . ₊ ˚.⁀➷
notes: this was digging into my head so please enjoy this. if it’s bad
the heavy notes were buzzing your ears. you’re standing by the speakers, waiting for xiao to arrive but you have a feeling that he wasn’t going to come. it wasn’t unusual xiao to be late as of lately, it also wasn’t surprising that he didn’t show up to the previous one. you did let it slide though. it was the first time that he had fallen so hard for somebody so you tried. but it hurt.
you sighed, almost a hour later and you grabbed your things. you were now on your way home now and you couldn’t help the frown under your mask. you knew why you were jealous. you knew it was because you had feelings for him. but before all of that, he was your friend.
“fuck it, honestly.” you told yourself, kicking a rock and making your way to the bus stop. the same bus stop that the two of you would go home together. crack jokes. god. you wished that you could like somebody else. truly. somebody like-
“yanfei! hey.” xiao called over and the soft haired girl looked over at the boy. hu tao was peeking through the other’s shoulder and furrowed her brow. xiao didn’t really speak to anybody. “hey, do you know where y/n went? i haven’t seen them and we were supposed to go home.”
“isn’t today thursday? don’t you two have band practice?” hu tao asks, looking at him accusingly. although you were close to yanfei, you and hu tao had a special bond nobody could break. “she told me she had been there since... maybe two hours now?”
“oh fuck.” he whispered, watching as the girls slid their shoes on and he instantly rushed outside. and by instantly, he meant as fast as he could. he was clutching his bag tightly and he knew you were already on your way home. you were patient with only him.
his eyes glistered with tears and he felt absolutely guilty. he had been giving you the cold shoulder for the past few months and you had been taking it like a champ. from being ignored to go to the movies, to everything in the book. he felt absolutely horrible.
his jogging slows down as he watches a tall figure, a smaller one and eventually; you. it was the annoying redhead from a few classes down, his quiet friend who played the flute on the top of the roof and you in the middle. you in the middle, laughing at their antics. it was obvious you had been crying, your nose red but you laughed so hard. so damn hard.
his heart feels heavy. a strange burning in his chest and he unknowingly brings his phone to his ear. he doesn’t even have to tab your number. you were in speed dial. he watched as you grabbed your phone, opening the cute flip phone, seeing his name and frowning. he also saw how the redhead made a joke and you broke out in laughter. throwing your phone in again.
he lost his best friend.

・↷ as it was - a diluc x reader drabble  . . . ₊ ˚.⁀➷
notes: i keep hearing this song and i just wanted to write this.
/ ‘ in this world . . . /
“do you think that anybody will find out?” an eight-year-old diluc inquired. his eyes were wide and almost in horror. his scarlet eyes can’t help but stare at the bird that’s in-between your hands. the bird won’t stop squeaking and the two of you are horrified. the two of you had been playing when the bird fell to the ground. you two were convinced it had been you two when the bird had merely fell out of it’s nest. it was normal, something unknowing to the both of you.
“nobody can find out! our parents will kill us!” you wailed out in fear. “i’m going to climb the tree and put it back, okay? be my lookout!”
/ it’s just us. /
fifteen year-old diluc watched as his best friend clumsily talked to her crush. his arms were crossed around his chest and you couldn’t help but nudge him. your smile was wide and you held too much light for this world. that’s how he’d describe it.
“don’t stare, you know that lisa’s going to be super embarassed if she sees us.” you tell him and you manage to grasp his attention. you only don’t realize that he wishes he was a little bit more like lisa. that he wished he could confess his feelings for you just like the brunette was doing.
“she shouldn’t be confessing in public then.” he puffed and you only rolled your eyes. a reach for his hands and you’re pulling him away from the scene.
/ you know it’s not the same as it was. . . /
it’s a little after your graduation and finally, he gets the girl. kaeya pushed him into the right direction and you’re both kissing under the night sky. it’s between the creaks and chattering crowd by the tavern. nobody can see you and for once, he feels like the wait was worth it.
“do you think we’re doing this right?” you question, nervously. you wanted him to like the kiss as much as you did. his answer wasn’t what you expected, but it certainty made you kiss him again.
“who the hell knows?”
the two of you were tipsy but he was sure to stain his lips on yours. to remember this night until the both of you grow old. (he doesn’t think he’d ever forget it however. not with you around.)
/ as it was /
you’re no longer eighteen and no longer sharing sweet kisses between the tavern. his dad was gone and so was your clumsy childhood best friend. he had always been serious, mind you. but this was different. then again, the two of you were adults now. twenty-three years old. he barely spoke. he was first one up and the last one down. he was taking care of what his family left him and letting go of the relationships he had built on his own.
“do you need help?” you had asked. it was a little too late at night and you only wanted your boyfriend to go home with you. you wanted to sleep with him and hold him. at least for a while. he had grown so distant. but you understood. you always did.
“no. i want you to go home, y/n.”
/ as it was /
“we should stop seeing each other.” diluc said. it was one of his many late nights and you didn’t have the will to argue with him. truth be told, there was nothing to argue. he was right. thoughts had turned into insecurities and both of you were simply breaking apart. the two of you were ripping the beautiful connection you had made when you were younger at this point.
/ as it was /
he’d lie if he said that he didn’t wait for the day that you waltz in the winery. a little too loud and a little too drunk. diluc felt like a child wishing and wasting his time. you were gone. after his choice to break apart, you had decided to leave town as a whole. you had told lisa that you needed a change of scenery. a change of people, to be frank. and he knew you couldn’t stand what had happened between the two of you, even if years had passed. (he couldn’t either.)
he vows that the next time he sees you, he’ll make you his again. that the mistake he made when he was younger, wasn’t going to destroy his entire life. he wasn’t going to let it. diluc leaned down, blowing the last candle and he has hope in the pit of his chest. for the first time in years, he has faith that it’s going to be okay.
/ you know it’s not the same. /
it’s a few months after and he swears he has the worst luck in the world. he truly does. because he does sees you. he sees your hair pulled into a tall ponytail, electro vision on your chest and you had a too bright smile on your face. just like you did as you were kids. except you weren’t kids anymore. you two were in your early thirties and you were holding a child in your arms.
“who would’ve thought that our y/n would’ve had children?” lisa presses, making you laugh and you can’t help but peak over her shoulder. it’s for a minute but you see diluc stand, staring at you and you show him the same smile. it’s wide, burning and not his.
it belongs to the fellow that’s shyly scratching his head at your friends’ compliments.

random drabble #1.
notes: nothing too crazy, just a tiny drabble that was lingering the back of my mind. i might not be the huggest ayato simp in the world but i know a few people that are. so if you happen to see this, this is for you.
 ・↷ prince ayato x royal reader. ! - if you enjoy, please like & reblog!  . . . ₊ ˚.⁀➷
when you first laid your eyes on kamisato ayato, you were absolutely smitten. you remember running to his little sister, eyes big with glee and saying how you would marry him when you were older. she’d gag, nudging you with her elbow and tell you to act like the young princess you were. yet you never missed the smile that was drawn on her face. she secretly hoped that you would. only for the sole fact that you two would be sisters and she didn’t have to wait months on end to see you. (even if you two wrote horrible letters to each other daily.)
“i swear, he grows prettier with time.” you tell his sister and she can’t help the fake gag that leaves her mouth. she’s hiding her face, as always, behind her gentle fan but you could tell that she was laughing at you. not in a mean way, of course, but your crush on ayato had gone on for ages now. it started when you were barely five, now you were almost twenty and up to the brim with marriage proposals. to be frank, you had no idea how you even managed to get so many of them. ayaka had gotten a bunch of them as well, but after her confession to being in love with her personal housekeeper, they had all died down. you were unknowing of the snooping brother behind the door, eavesdropping on your conversation and the knowing smile on his face.
the same knowing smile he had once he sees you at the wedding. it’s a huge ball. there’s so much white, yellows and blue that it’s crazy. it’s simply crazy how lumine made all the colors match without much of an effort. even glitter on the tabletops. you could only assume that paimon was the one behind it all. truly.
your best friend couldn’t stop smiling either. her eyes were sparkling with pure joy and thoma looked a little too happy to be human. you swore. their hands were tangled together, fingers dangled and ayaka had to lean upwards to get a kiss. only a small peek that had the entire room cheering, making her blush and thoma laugh.
you clapped, unaware of the beautiful prince sitting behind you and once you were; you couldn’t help but be absolutely floored. he was prettier in person. well, prettier when he spoke to you and said more than two sentences.
“wow, if i knew my sister had such pretty friends; i would’ve asked thoma to propose faster.”
your cheeks burn a bright red and you can’t help but look at him. only for a minute, before looking away. you couldn’t keep eye contact with him for the life of him.
“are you bothering my friends, ayato?” a voice comes, her voice high on euphoria and you two turn to the beautiful bride. her hair is resting on her stomach, the golden band visible to the both of you and she looked absolutely stunning. her hair was cascading down her shoulders after a beautiful dance ceremony that had thoma sobbing her eyes out.
“hm... am i bothering you, pretty?” he asks, a knowing smile on his face and you can’t help the smile that slaps itself on your face. he knows and so do you.
you shake your head. “no, not at all. we’re talking about how pretty the ceremony was. i promise he’s not bothering me, ayaka.” you say with a wide smile and blushed cheeks. she catches the sight and puffs her cheek without a second thought.
“now, now ayaka. don’t you have a husband to attend now? he won’t stop crying.” ayato says, pointing to the blonde who had latched onto yoimiya. both of them were bawling and ayaka couldn’t help the sigh that left her mouth. she pats down her dress, trying to play off her own eyes watering and gives them both a small bow. “excuse me.”
she was firm.
“ayato, if i hear how you bothered her, i’ll kill you.” under her breath and behind her fan. her eyes feigning innocence before she rushed to her newly husband. those words made you laugh.
ayaka doesn’t hear a single word about that. not even a peep. however, she does hear about the way he pressed you on his bedroom wall, lips soft as petals and planting kisses from you as the others seemed to dance the night away.
“was it as you always dreamed?”
