I didn’t want to do this, but hey
So, as some of you know, I’m going away to college next month. Woohoo and yeehaw and so forth.
However. I’mma need to stay in the college dorms. I don’t know how many of y’all were around for the Great Fiasco of early 2018, but basically I ran away from home and got into a court battle with my parents because I cannot live with them. I’ve been living on the grace of my local friends for over a year.
I’m trans, I’m queer, I’m autistic, and I’m disabled. I need a job, but I cannot get one. I live in a small town, okay? Tiny. Most folks are anti-vaxxers or don’t believe in disabilities. I haven’t had a job since May 2019. I’m trying really hard to get one. My last employer told me that if I get raped, it’s my fault, and that I wasn’t transgender, and that she used to feed me things I was allergic to on purpose. Cool, right? No wonder I quit.
Anyways, I was let go from my other jobs because they were “overstaffed,” but really it was because I didn’t look the part of a cute hipster waitress. The point is that now I don’t care where I work, I just need a job. I’ve applied at a pizza place here and to work in the galleys on the ferry boats, but truth is, I have 30 dollars in my bank account and I need to pay the college
$2690 by September 20th, 2019.
That’s a huge amount of money. And I can’t make it in time. So I’m begging y’all, and you know how much I hate to beg, if you can spare anything, even five dollars, to get me into the college dorms. I’ll even make a pair of gloves for everyone who donates. I crochet, and I will crochet you a pair of elbow-length fingerless gloves. Just please.
