I just wanna pull out a discovery. Since Cagney is a Carnation (Dianthus Caryophyllus, Orange Sherbet bicolour), he's in the Caryophyllaceae family.
The Dianthus Caryophyllus is also a hermaphroditic flower so big news.
And for you people that think he could be a Calendula (Calendula Officinalis), the pot marigold is also a hermaphroditic flower so checkmate.
