Ok tonight's full body HIIT workout was kickass: squats, banded hip thrusters, kettle bell side to side shuffle, box jumps, Australian pull ups, narrow push ups, and more. Then finished off with a 15min interval on the stair machine. . . For Spartan race there will be a lot of hills, so it's important to incorporate stairs and running on an incline into my training. I hate it, but it's necessary. Friday morning workout went pretty well. Ran 5km in under 33min!!!! When I heard the app stating the time and distance, I was like "what the hell that fast?!" . . Today I was conscious of how I was landing on my feet and made an effort to lift my legs a bit more. My ankles felt pretty good after the workout, no pain..... this time. I have been inconsistent with my workouts this month. Feeling a little disappointed with myself since I gained back some weight. . However I am not going to beat myself down, it's back to the starting point and try again until I reach my goals. It's okay to fall once in awhile, I just need to pick myself back up. . Today I am at the gym doing cardio (bike and elliptical). I plan on building my endurance for some daytime bike touring this summer. . Oh like my new tank top? Bacon & Barbells ftw.

So it's been over 2 weeks since my last gym selfie. I had to take a break to tend to my back and shoulder. It's good to be back working out this week. I am taking it easy with the weights so not to trigger another muscle pull. I figure it will take another 3-4 weeks before I am completely healed to do deadlift again. I'm taking it day by day.
