I could let myself in now but last time I did that, my mum thought it was an intruder and came downstairs carrying a baseball bat (I had called out “hello” but she didn’t hear me). One of my faves. Sherlock suspects a marriage counselor is murdering couples so he and John investigate while working through some issues. Tbh there is not a whole lot of pretending in this, which should tell you something about their relationship #married

“A Woman once said, after all, that the biggest problem with disguises was that they were always a self-portrait. Especially when you aren’t even trying.” Fake relationship for a case that has Sherlock asking John some tough questions.

No, I’m serious, if women all got together and went into electrical engineering or automotive repair en masse, then ten years later people would be talking about how it was a “soft field” and it would pay proportionately less than other fields.
Likewise, if men moved en masse to bedeck themselves in sparkles and make-up, then suddenly you’d get a bunch of editorials talking about how classy they look.
None of these things are inherently masculine or feminine; none of these things inherently elevate you or drag you down. But whatever women are seen to do is automatically seen as being inherently more frivolous than anything men do. And shaming women for not pigeonholing themselves into a narrow range of acceptable “masculine” behaviours is just going to result in the goalposts getting moved once again.

I’m sick. I had to go home from my volunteer job early yesterday and I had to cancel a dive with a friend today. My arms feel all heavy and it’s a hassle to reach up and click things on my tablet. I haaaaaate this. It’s a stomach thing so I can’t really eat. I had some toast earlier.

SAMUEL BARNETT CAST IN TITLE ROLE OF BBC AMERICA’S DIRK GENTLY
BBC AMERICA announced today that stage, television and film actor Samuel Barnett (Twelfth Night, The History Boys, Penny Dreadful) has been cast in the title role of the network’s new original scripted series Dirk Gently, set to premiere in Fall 2016. The announcement comes on the heels of Elijah Wood (The Trust,Cooties, Wilfred) being cast in the role of “Todd”.
The network has announced that Robert Cooper (Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe) has been named series’ showrunner and Oscar-winning director Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Justified, Masters of Sex) has signed on to direct the series’ first two episodes.
Penned by Max Landis – the mind behind cult classic Chronicle – Dirk Gently is an eight-part co-production of AMC Studios, IDEATE MEDIA and IDW Entertainment with Circle of Confusion producing.

OK I can’t believe I’m posting to defend an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie but according to that same Wikipedia article, $4.1 million was the gross for the first day.
As of March 3, 2016, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip has grossed $84.9 million in North America and $138.8 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $223.6 million, against a budget of $90 million.[3]
In the United States and Canada, The Road Chip was released on December 18, 2015 across 3,653 theaters alongside Sisters and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with box office analysts believing the opening figures could be hurt by the latter.[24] The film grossed $4.1 million on its first day and $14.3 million in its opening weekend, finishing second at the box office behind The Force Awakens ($248 million).[3]
