Reblogging for the Romeo and Juliet shout out. Even though the stanzas are a little off... Still... LOVE!!!!
Matthew, I honestly have no idea why I have not followed you all this time. Please forgive me.
It is perfectly fine, dear John. All that matters is that you have found your way to me now. I would have waited millions of years more for you, had it have been necessary.

I'm more upset that someone thinks Pinot Noir goes good with beef.
Lisa Hanawalt, who you may remember from such white hot Lucky Peach hits as The Secret Lives of Chefs, has a handful of copies of her new zine left. It is called Save a Horse, Ride a Hanawalt and the image above is stolen from it and it costs $8 and you should buy it now before it’s too late and you have to ice down a bottle of wine and cry yourself to sleep (again).

But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?
Mark Twain, Autobiography of Mark Twain (via larmoyante)
Never thought about this, interesting...

Baking
Lord help me! Im baking for community dinner/ safe grounds for tomorrow night and I HATE baking.
Give me something to cook? Fine.
Give me something to prep? Fine.
I fricking HATE baking.
And what am I baking you ask? The two things I know I won't mess up, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Brownies.
And you know what? I hate chocolate too.
I hope I don't mess this up and have to bring store bought crap. This is the Episcopal Church after all, we don't do store bought!

This is written in the Hebrew Talmud, the book where all of the sayings and preaching of rabbis are conserved over time.
It says:
"Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears.
The woman came out of a man's rib.
Not from his feet to be walked on.
Not from his head to be superior.
But from the side to be equal.
Under the arm to be protected,
and next to the heart to be loved."

Evil does not exist, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.

Absence
SO, I have been MIA from Tumblr forever. Sorry about that guys, thanks to all of those who wrote me to check up on me! So heres a little update on my life:
~Work is going a little better, not ideal but better.
~Really am wanting to move to the East Coast, I am feeling a very warm and inviting call to make the transition, but in order to do so I need to find a J-O-B. All my East Coast friends, keep your ears out for me! :)
~Loving my Church and Parish life. I am being asked to participate in a lot of ministries:
- Cross- stitching baptismal stoles.
- Reading at compline
- New Members groups
-Yoga
~Loving my Education for Ministry classes. Already gaining such a great bond with these people (still the youngest by 25 years, but loving it all the same)
I am sure I will be updating and posting A LOT more now that I have a litte more time.
love you all
xoxo
