Of course! And thank you. :>

Venomous Encounters
Summary: You and your symbiote wind up in a different world, where you attempt to start a new life for the both of you.
Word Count: 1,762
Pairing(s): Male!Venom!Reader x Wednesday Addams
Warning(s): Slight gore, slight violence
A/N: This one turned out much better than expected. I hope you all enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"This is a stupid idea."
Your symbiote says in your ear, as you peer around a corner to survey a holdup taking place by the cash register.
"Since when were you my voice of reason, Ven?" You whisper back, taking note of the gun pointed at the head of the frightened cashier standing behind the counter.
"It would be unwise to do anything to draw attention to us right now. Need I remind you that this is not our home universe. Uncharted territory." The symbiote warns you with a tone of urgency.
You grit your teeth. "Yeah, you've got that right."
It was only yesterday when you and Venom had suddenly appeared in this new world, which was startlingly similar to your own. You were just leaping from rooftop to rooftop when all of a sudden a strange light had engulfed you and transported you in the middle of a dark forest. Finding your bearings, you had stumbled upon a town called Jericho, where you and Venom decided to lay low for the time being.
But now, you were hungry.
Very hungry.
Your symbiote's hunger was your own. And by now, it was running out of nutrients to sustain the both of you.
That was all about to change at this very moment.
"We've got no choice, Ven. It's now or never." You whisper, just as black goo begins to engulf your body, permeating through your skin and wrapping around each and every one of your limbs.
A long, black tendril shoots out and grabs the offender by the wrist, causing him to drop the gun in surprise. He turns in your direction, and his face pales in utter terror.
Where your face was was nothing but rows of sharp, white teeth, and as the man's eyes searched for yours, they found nothing but two blank white sclerae, the lack of irises quite disturbing. As he mouths wordlessly, you can feel your jaw open as three words escape your lips.
"We... are Venom."
Lunging forward, you give the man no time to scream as your jaw closes around his neck, your symbiote's hunger satisfied at last.
...
Wednesday Addams stands outside the convenience store, just in front of the police tape circling the establishment. Amidst the wailing sirens, a white-faced employee was testifying to a police officer that he had seen a hulking black monster rip off the head of a man right in front of his eyes, before escaping through the door and leaping out of sight in the direction of the forest.
Now, Wednesday loved a good mystery. And this was yet another one of the strange occurrences that have happened to the town in the span of time that she had been at Nevermore.
Monsters and murders were her specialty, apparently.
She walks over to the police officer, who was observing two men carry out a body bag coming from the establishment.
Noting the absence of a bulge where the head should be, Wednesday tears her eyes away from the corpse to speak with the cop.
"Which direction did he say the monster was headed?"
The cop jumps in surprise at being addressed, looking Wednesday up and down as though sizing her up.
Deciding that she was no threat, he nods, pointing in the direction of the woods.
"There, into the forest. You better stay indoors, miss. It's not safe out here tonight."
Ignoring the last comment, Wednesday heads in the direction that the officer pointed out, with all intentions of getting to the bottom of this bloody mystery once and for all.
...
"That was reckless! Stupid!"
Venom yells in your ear as you jump from branch to branch, your clawed hands finding traction as you heave yourself from tree to tree with surprising agility and stealth.
"Who are you to tell me I'M being reckless, Ven? You were never the subtle type, either." You retort, surprised at your symbiote's wary behavior.
The symbiote groans.
"We drew far too much attention with that meal! That place will be swarming with cops, investigators, reporters! It won't be safe to return!"
You stop your travel momentarily by leaping onto an overhanging branch, catching your breath for a moment as the black goo seeps back into your flesh.
"A pity. I really liked that town, it's small, cozy, quaint..."
"You can't possibly be thinking of staying, now are you?"
"You can't blame me. It'll be a chance for us to start over. Where no one knows our name."
"We are the Lethal Protector! We do not 'settle down'. We go where the wind takes us!"
You don't answer, now that the sound of rustling leaves caught both your attention.
"Someone's coming."
Venom morphs himself all around you once more, scanning your surroundings like a predator stalking its prey.
A figure wanders into view, inspecting a few broken branches that you had left in your wake. They linger for a moment next to the trunk of a tree, where claw marks could be seen etched upon its surface.
"Told you so."
Venom extends a tendril and quietly lowers you just behind the figure, and you land on the ground noiselessly. Standing six feet tall, you pose menacingly as you wait for the figure to sense your presence, and for a confrontation to begin.
The figure stiffens up, finally aware that they were not alone. In one swift motion, they draw a sword from seemingly out of nowhere and whip around, pointing it straight at your heart.
The two of you stare at each other, at a loss for words.
It was a woman. A young, dark-haired girl with pigtails, a pale white face, and an emotionless expression. There was something about her cold, expressionless stare that felt almost deadly, and this was something that you strangely admired, odd as though it was in the moment.
On her part, she didn't know what she was looking at. Of course, she had an idea of what to expect, but it was certainly not this. A hulking, black figure with rows of sharp, white teeth, with two blank sclerae for eyes staring curiously into her own. And though the sight of you would send just about anybody else screaming and running in the other direction, there was something about you that was oddly mesmerizing for her. Something intriguing.
She lowers her sword, letting it fall to her side as she looks you up and down, as though sizing up her opponent.
"... What are you?"
Venom smiles, opening up half of its face to reveal your own, causing the young girl's eyes to widen in shock.
"We are Venom." You say in unison, just as Venom starts to retreat back into your body, leaving you rather exposed.
The young girl continues staring.
"You're human."
You grin. "Well... mostly."
You didn't know what to do. Instinct was pulling at your every nerve, telling you that this woman was dangerous and that fleeing was the best option at the moment. But... you couldn't.
"Who are you?" You ask. "Where am I? What is this place?"
Her gaze turns cold.
"I think that I have the liberty of asking the questions first. You just committed a murder, and that blood on your hands gives you no right to be asking questions just yet. So I will ask you again. What are you?"
You sigh. Though it was in your very power to leave, you decided that it would be best to make fewer enemies and more friends, dare you say the word. And to do that you would need to cooperate.
"I am Y/N L/N. I am a human. And I have this parasite—"
"PARASITE?!"
"—sorry, I meant symbiote. I have this symbiote that lives inside my body, and he gives me all these powers that I have. I'd be dead without him."
"Damn right!"
The woman merely stares at you coldly, her eyes narrowing into sharp slits "Where did the two of you come from?"
You shrug. "Not here. We think... We think we may be from another universe, and that we somehow managed to wind up in this one. Don't ask me how, I'm just as lost as you are."
The young girl's gaze turns even colder, if that was even possible.
"Parallel realities, you say?"
You couldn't tell whether she believed you or not.
Taking the opportunity to speak up, you clear your throat and step forward.
"I didn't quite catch your name there, Miss...?"
She glares daggers at you.
"Wednesday. Wednesday Addams. And we're not done yet, Y/N. I still have some questions."
"Fire away." You sigh wearily.
"Why did you murder that man?" She shoots, her eyes glaring at you with full intensity by now.
You sigh.
"We had to. He was gonna shoot if we didn't stop him." You smile sadly. "It's... kind of what we do. Back home, we're the Lethal Protector."
"The what?"
At her words, Venom pops out his head next to yours, causing Wednesday to back away a few paces.
"The Lethal Protector! Protect the innocent! Crush the wicked!"
Wednesday stares at the grinning, toothy head suspended in midair next to you, before turning her gaze back to you.
"There are cops looking for you. They will find you if you're not careful."
Wait, was she letting you go?
"You're letting us go? Just like that?" You ask, hardly daring to believe it.
Wednesday nods.
"I see no reason to doubt your integrity as of yet, seeing as how you've demonstrated that your intentions are, for lack of better wording, not bad." She looks you up and down. "Take care out there."
She turns to leave, leaving you just as befuddled as you were when she came.
"Wait!"
You call out, causing her to spin in place at the sound of your voice.
"What?" She asks, sounding a bit annoyed.
You can feel your heart pounding in your chest. "Will I get to see you again?"
Wednesday ponders this for a moment.
"Don't count on it." She turns, walking in the other direction.
Venom engulfs you once again as she leaves, and you scale a nearby tree as you begin to make your way deeper into the woods.
"You like her."
Your symbiote purrs in your ear, it's tone sounding both accusatory and amused.
"Shut up. We just met. And besides, she was only trying to help." You retort, feeling your cheeks heat up.
"Well... I like her!"
Venom declares triumphantly, but your mind is preoccupied with other matters.
You really hope that you would see her again.

Could I get Enid sinclair x reader that really enjoys thunderstorms? Just in a tree sitting on a branch or on the balcony in the rain smoking a cigarette enjoying the lightning and thunder. Fic form please

Stormy Nights
Summary: You and Enid share a moment of intimacy amidst a brewing thunderstorm.
Word Count: 942
Pairing(s): Enid Sinclair x Male!Reader
Warning(s): None
A/N: Took me a while to get back to this, mostly due to personal matters getting in the way...
Tumblr media
CRASH!
BOOM!
A thunderclap echoes through the din, the sudden cacophony threatening to split the sky in half as low rumblings follow suit. You're sitting on an overhanging branch, your back resting comfortably on the trunk of the tree as you remain sheltered from the torrential downpour raging all around you.
The continuous pitter-patter of raindrops only adds to the cozy ambience that the thunderstorm provided. You've always been fond of thunderstorms, ever since you were little. The sudden outbursts of thunder and lightning never fazed you as a child, and at your current age the rain brought with it not disappointment, but pleasure at the fact that you could spend such a day indoors, wrapped up in a blanket, watching a movie or smoking a cigarette or two.
Or in this case, sitting in the shade of a tree, sheltered from the rain as the cool air wafts over you.
All in all, an ideal way to spend an evening.
You see a figure walking towards you in your peripheral vision. Turning in their direction, you can see that they're holding an umbrella, and wearing a pink raincoat.
You smile. It was her.
The figure nears, and you begin to make out her features in the rainy mist. Her colorful locks bounce with every step, and her face shines as she beams at you from underneath her hood.
She stops just beneath the shade of the tree, closing her umbrella as she dries herself off. Her gaze rests on you as she smiles.
"Hi."
You smile in return.
"Hello, Enid."
She approaches the base of the tree, looking up at you quizzically.
"Why are you out here? You weren't in your dorm and I got a little worried..."
You shrug. "I dunno, just felt like sitting out in the rain. It's really relaxing."
Enid stares at you with an odd expression on her face.
"May I... join you?" She offers, swaying side to side as a coy grin finds its way to her face.
"Of course." You shimmy over a bit to the left, making room for Enid to sit. "Come up over here."
Enid beams at you again, climbing up the the tree with surprising agility and litheness. Before you know it, she's right next to you, batting her eyes playfully at you.
"What? Why so surprised?" She asks.
You shake your head. "Nothing."
She sighs, her hand subtly finding yours as she takes it in her own. As your fingers interlock, a pale blush finds its way to your face, which you were pleased to note mirrored hers.
The two of you sit in silence for a moment, simply relishing each other's company. The rain doesn't let up, but the two of you remain dry underneath the thick foliage above you.
It's peaceful.
"Hey, Y/N?" Enid pipes up, looking at you anxiously. "Do you think... we could head back soon?"
"Hm?" You gaze at her in question. "But you just got here."
"I know, but..." She trails off, looking up at the sky with fearful trepidation.
You understood.
"Are you afraid of the thunder?" You ask, being as straightforward as possible.
"What? Psshhh. No, of course not." She waves you off, trying yet failing to mask her growing anxiety of the situation. "Why would I be—"
KRAKOOM!
Enid lets out a fearful yelp, grabbing onto your arm as she trembles uncontrollably. Her eyes are wide as dinner plates, darting all around you as the thunder fades off into low rumblings.
You smirk at her in spite of the situation.
"Well?" You inquire as she looks up at you, defeat etched all over her features.
"... Okay, fine. I'm a little scared. Don't tease me about it." She rolls her eyes at you.
"I won't. And it's nothing to be ashamed of." You wrap your arms around her, startling her for a moment as she stiffens up in surprise.
She relaxes slightly as you gently reach up with a free hand to stroke her hair, running your fingers through her accented locks with all the affection you could muster. She lets out a sigh of contentment, leaning into your touch as you continue playing with the strands of her colorful hair.
"Y/N?"
"Yeah?" You ask, stopping for a moment as you wait for her response.
It never comes.
Instead, Enid leans up, planting a gentle yet passionate kiss on your lips, holding the gesture for a moment before pulling away slowly. Her eyes are sparkling in the pale light, gazing into your own with pure adoration.
"I think I'll be fine now. Thank you."
You smile at her, gently nuzzling her cheek with your own as you cuddle each other underneath the shelter of the tree, two destined hearts who have found solace in one another. For now and for as far as time would take you.
As the rain begins to fade off into a gentle pitter-patter, you sigh dreamily as you rest your head on hers, taking in her scent as you close your eyes.
Thunderstorms were the best.

Do you write for Enid? If so, may I request cuddling headcanons for Enid x Male! Reader?
Certainly! :>

Warmth
Tumblr media
Enid was, without question, the best at cuddling. Physical touch was one of her love languages, after all. With hugs being her customary greeting to those she cared about, it was only natural that that would carry over to her way of showing affection to her partner as well.
Enid loves being the little spoon. The feeling of being held is one she absolutely adores, when she could feel the safety of being in the arms of another.
That being said, she doesn't mind being the big spoon every now and then. Her hugs are the absolute best. The way she would caress you from behind, slipping her arms around your waist to pull you close, whispering sweet little nothings into your ear as she does... It was absolute paradise.
If you're the type who enjoys physical touch, then prepare yourself for "cuddle experiments", where you and Enid would try different cuddling positions and such, in an attempt to find the best position that works best for you.
If you're the type to shy away from physical touch/not used to physical intimacy, then never fear. Enid will respect your boundaries, taking things slow with you until you feel comfortable enough to be held in her arms.
She will also occasionally tickle you, which sometimes causes your cuddling sessions to escalate into tickle fights.
Enid loves your scent. She would go to great lengths to find an excuse to snuggle deeper into your chest, breathing deeply while mumbling little "I love yous" with every breathless sigh.
If you ever fall asleep during your cuddle sessions, Enid will run her fingers through your hair, humming softly as you drift off into unconsciousness.
If she falls asleep first, then prepare to be her own personal body pillow. Her vice-like grip will tighten around you, making all hope of escape impossible.
Not that you minded, of course.
In short, Enid is a cuddler by nature. It was one of the things you absolutely adore about her, especially since it was her own unique way of showing you that you were hers. For now and for all time.

Can I request some HCs for Wednesday x gender neutral reader where they go for a walk through the woods together?
Sure! :>
~~
Tumblr media
You weren't sure what to expect when Wednesday had asked you out, but the fact that she chose the dark forest as the location for your next date was just something that seemed so... her.
That being said, you had no qualms whatsoever about following this girl into what could possibly result in an early death for you. You trusted her that much.
But what made matters scarier was the fact that she had specifically asked that you meet her at the forest's edge at sunset. The time of day that transitions into night, when the forest would be the most dangerous.
Anything for her.
Before you knew it, you and Wednesday were walking side-by-side through the fading trail that leads into the very heart of the woods. The foliage that surrounds you is thick, and pretty soon you lost sight of the sky overhead as thick branches obscured your vision.
You were feeling slightly unnerved by now.
Your girlfriend senses your unease, and she turns to face you, taking your trembling hand in her own.
"Y/N, as long as you are by my side, no harm will ever come to you. I assure you of that."
She gives your hand a gentle squeeze. It feels reassuring, in a way.
Darkness settles upon your surroundings as the sun falls over the horizon's edge, leaving the entire forest in an almost pitch-black darkness. Your grip on Wednesday's hand tightens, but she doesn't seem to mind.
In fact, it almost seemed like she was enjoying herself. Almost as if your fear of the unknown was delicious to her.
"Y/N... We're here."
You peer at your surroundings, where in the darkness you can barely make out a crooked tree, whose trunk had grown into a sort of spiral shape. Even in the darkness, you knew where you were.
This was the spot where you and Wednesday shared your first kiss.
You turn to face her, a puzzled look on your face.
"Surprise." She deadpans.
You finally understood.
Without warning, Wednesday approaches you, taking a few steps towards you before pinning you against the trunk of the tree.
You were cornered.
Before you could say anything, she leans in, pausing for a moment to gaze deep into your eyes, before finally pressing her cold lips against yours.
It feels so good.
Once the initial shock had worn-off, you start to kiss her back, your blissful passion matching hers. A hand finds it's way to her neck, that sweet spot between her collarbone and cheek where you knew she liked to be touched. She lets out a low moan, one that only you could hear.
Before long, you both find yourself in need of air. The two of you pull away for a moment, both very out of breath and flushed pink. Her eyes are locked into yours, and the way she stared at you with something like a hunger was enough to send tingles up your spine.
A branch cracks somewhere behind you, causing you to spin in place, looking for the source of the noise. You're feeling uneasy again.
To your shock, Wednesday cups your cheek in her hand, pulling you back to face her.
"Nothing in this forest can ever harm you, Y/N. Not as long as you are with me."
She pauses.
"Do you trust me?"
As your eyes lock onto hers once more, the answer becomes clear. You nod, pulling her close.
"I do." You whisper against her lips, your own just barely brushing over hers. "I do trust you, Wednesday. And I..."
You hesitate.
"I love you."
She doesn't react. Her eyes aren't betraying any emotions, either. But to your surprise, she hesitantly slips both arms around you, closing the space between you two as she gently presses her lips against yours once more.
And then, a whisper.
"I love you too, Y/N."

Ten Minutes
Summary: Wednesday allows you to cuddle her for a short span of time. It goes as well as you'd expect.
Word Count: 1,378
Warnings: None
Pairing(s): Wednesday Addams x Male!Reader
A/N: Cute lil idea I had this morning. I hope I did well on this one!
Minor note: Reader possesses healing abilities for the sake of the story's events.
Tumblr media
"Ten minutes."
You can hardly believe your ears.
"Sorry?" You ask.
Wednesday takes a deep breath, as though swallowing her pride before speaking.
"You get ten minutes. No more, no less." Her expression is unreadable, but the intensity of her stare gets the point across.
"Why so generous all of a sudden?" You chuckle. You and Wednesday had hardly even touched one another in the past, owing to the latter's utter distaste for any form of physical affection.
Her gaze grows stern.
"In light of the recent events that have transpired, I acknowledge that I am in your debt." Her gaze remains unchanging.
You shrug.
"If you're talking about that incident in town, then—"
"She stabbed you, Y/N."
You wince, rubbing the spot where a mugger had driven a knife through one night when you and Wednesday were making your way home from the Weathervane.
"It's not a big deal, Wends. Healing factor, remember?"
Wednesday furrows her brow.
"That doesn't make it any less of a sacrifice. She could've gotten me, and yet you took the hit for the both of us."
You shrug.
"It was the most logical decision to make, wasn't it? I mean—"
"Do you want this, or not?" Wednesday's voice carries with it a hint of impatience and coldness as she enunciates each word like a curse.
You raise your hands in surrender.
"Ooohhkay, I give. But why cuddling? Of all things, I'd never expect you to—"
"It's the most logical choice." She huffs in annoyance. "You haven't stopped pestering me for weeks about wanting to."
You laugh. "Aww, you do care."
Wednesday frowns, her gaze growing even sterner.
"If you're going to keep this up, then the deal is off."
"Okay, okay." You chuckle nervously. "So... how do you want to start?"
She suddenly falls silent.
"Bed. Now." She stands up from her chair, walking towards her bed situated in the corner of the room. Without a moment's hesitation, she clambers atop the mattress and lays there, her eyes still on you.
You can feel your heart beat a little faster.
"You're... really sure about this, huh?" You chuckle nervously.
She raises an eyebrow at you.
"I hope you aren't expecting an invitation to join me, Y/N. Because you aren't getting one." She deadpans, her eyes hardly betraying any emotion whatsoever.
You shrug, before hesitantly approaching her bed and climbing atop it as carefully as you could. You were feeling a little apprehensive about the entire situation, but that uncertainty and fear was overshadowed by the excitement of being able to finally hold your girlfriend in your arms.
You settle in next to her, your head sinking into a nearby pillow. Her eyes still haven't left you, as she seems to be taking your form in with unfettered concentration.
You clear your throat. The silence was growing unnerving.
"So... how do you want to begin?" You ask.
"You tell me." She speaks at last, and for a brief moment you can see a bit of uncertainty flash in her eyes.
Seems like you're the one who has to take initiative in this situation.
You edge a little closer to her, taking care not to move too fast for fear of upsetting/scaring her off. Once you two were laying about a few inches apart, Wednesday does the unthinkable.
She moves closer to you.
She slips an arm around your waist as as she inches closer to you, her intent stare hardly wavering. In her eyes, once you managed to look past the abyss of darkness and woe, you could see that she was afraid.
But of what, exactly?
"Hey... you okay?" You whisper.
Wednesday says nothing; her deep, abyssal eyes continuing to take you in with something akin to curiosity.
Taking her response (or lack thereof) as a 'yes', you decide to be a bit more bold in your attempts to initiate physical contact with her. You hesitantly slip an arm around her midsection, looking into her eyes for confirmation whether you should continue.
She still says nothing, though you can see her cheeks flush a faint shade of pink at your action.
Time to take things up a notch.
Swallowing your growing feelings of uncertainty, you bravely reach out for her hand, while your other hand finds it's way to her back. She doesn't protest, still maintaining eye contact with you without ever blinking once.
Feeling more confident, you give her a patient smile, pulling her close to you. Now that you two were only a few inches apart, you use a free hand to reach out and cup her cheek in your palm.
"Y/N."
You stop at the sound of her voice. It's not urgent, but there was still something in her tone that suggests otherwise.
"S-sorry. Was I going too far?" You ask nervously, retracting your hand in fear. The last thing you wanted was to make your girlfriend feel uncomfortable.
She seems to ponder this.
"No." She says after a while. "You may continue."
"You sure?"
"Yes, I am." She gives you another one of her trademark stares.
You nod, swallowing your nerves.
"Okay then..." You exhale shakily, reaching out for her cheek once more. She seems okay with the physical contact, showing no visible signs of wanting to pull away from your loving embrace. This was something new for her, you could tell. Wednesday was not above pushing you away should you get too close for comfort.
"Should I... keep going?" You ask timidly.
She doesn't respond. Instead, she breaks eye contact for a brief moment, seemingly considering her options at present. Without warning, she leans in to snuggle deep into the crook of your neck, which takes you by surprise.
You can feel your face start to heat up.
She presses a light kiss to your neck, her lips tracing over your skin in a chaste, reserved manner. This action causes your cheeks to turn even redder, and yet there was nothing you could do about it other than mouth wordlessly at her unexpected display of affection, which in all honesty felt way out of character for someone like Wednesday.
"W-Wends?" You can feel her nibbling playfully at your skin, the action sending shivers up your spine.
As she pulls away to get a good look at you, you can hear her whisper softly.
"What happens in this room stays with us, and us only, Y/N." Her voice is like silk, yet threatening all the same.
"What happens if I tell?" You whisper back, smirking.
"Then I will personally carve out your heart from your chest and feed it to you."
"Okay, noted."
Wednesday seems satisfied with your answer.
Abandoning all uncertainty and fear, you reach out to fully embrace your girlfriend in your arms, caressing her as lovingly and gently as possible. You can feel her heart beating against your chest as she rests against you; and though her expression remains as emotionless as ever, you could tell that she was enjoying this immensely.
Wednesday breathes deeply, seemingly taking in your scent as she further presses her body against yours. You can hear her whispering sweet nothings into the crook of your neck as she presses little chaste kisses to your skin, one after the other.
"So... I take it that you enjoy cuddling now?" You chuckle softly, cheeks still flushed pink.
She pulls away for a moment to stare at you coldly.
"Sorry." You chuckle nervously. I just—"
"Time's up." She pries herself out of your hug and topples out of bed, still giving you a condescending stare.
"You had your fun. I had to take those ten minutes out of my writing time." She huffs impatiently. "We're even now."
"Well, that was anticlimactic." You laugh sadly. "Thank you, though."
She nods curtly, before heading over to her table to position herself in front of her typewriter.
"Can I ask you something?" You call out to her as you hop onto the floor.
She turns around. "What is it?"
"Can we do this again sometime?" You ask hopefully.
Wednesday doesn't answer for about a minute.
"... Yes."
And with that, she turns around to work on her novel, while also hiding the fact that a smile was creeping up her now-reddened cheeks.

"Wednesday's looking for you."
You look up from your evening porridge, where Enid hovers over you anxiously waiting for your response.
"Sorry?" You ask.
Enid takes a deep breath, exhaling nervously through her nose as she repeats her statement.
"Wednesday's looking for you." She repeats, eyeing you with a look of fright. "She... told me to tell you—well, if I saw you—that she wishes to speak with you. Alone."
You're genuinely puzzled.
"You're... sure? She actually said that?" You nearly chuckle in disbelief. Your girlfriend wasn't exactly the epitome of healthy communication.
"She did." Enid continues to look at you with a look that someone would give a person lying on their deathbed. "I've never seen her look more serious than how she was while ago. It seemed... important."
You take a moment to ponder her words. Wednesday would never ask to speak with you alone, unless it was something really grave or morbid that she had to have someone to share it with.
Or, maybe...
You can feel your heart dropping right to the pit of your stomach.
... Maybe she felt that things weren't working out between you two.
You sigh. Better to get it over with.
"Thanks, Enid. I'll go look for her now."
You stand up from your seat, grabbing your backpack from a nearby bench as you do. Before you can get far, however, Enid calls out your name.
"Y/N?"
You turn, facing a rather troubled-looking Enid. "Yeah?"
"What happened between you two?" She asks in hushed tones.
You sigh once more.
"We just had a little... misunderstanding, that's all." This, of course, was an understatement. You and Wednesday just had one of your worst fights in weeks. "I'll be fine, Enid."
This seems to terrify her even more.
"O-okay... just be careful, alright?"
"I will, thanks."
____________
Wednesday Addams stands by the edge of the balcony; feeling the cold, crisp air as it washes over her features. She's deep in thought, her mind replaying the exact same moment that's been on her mind since this morning.
"If you aren't going to be of any use to me, then I expect you to leave."
A curious feeling wells up within her. Guilt? She hardly knew the feeling. In all her years pushing down such trivial emotions, nothing quite made her insides squirm uncomfortably as the memory of your conversation did now.
In retrospect, perhaps she had been a bit too... harsh.
She sighs. Her words were only now coming back to haunt her.
"So that's all I am to you, huh? Some tool?" You had replied, clearly hurt.
"I did not say that. Do not make assumptions." She had chastised you, giving you a cold stare.
"Well what am I supposed to think, Wends? I can't be guessing all the time." You stated, shaking your head. "Sometimes, I wonder if you even do care."
"So you assume that I don't?" She had replied blandly.
"Well, you sure have a funny way of showing it." You huffed, turning towards the door.
There's silence.
"... Do you love me, Wednesday?" You had asked tentatively, doubt creeping in.
Wednesday's gaze had grown colder.
"Clearly, if you doubt me so much, then there is no point to this conversation." She turned, facing stubbornly away from you. "You may leave. Now."
The silence had been deafening.
"So you don't, then?" You had choked, tears forming in your eyes.
And at that precise moment, Wednesday's insides had squirmed with an incomprehensible desire, one that told her to express how she truly felt for you. However, she swallowed that primal urge as pride took over.
"Do not make me answer that question right now, Y/N. Please. Leave me be." Her tone was as cold as ice, which you took as your cue to leave that room at that very moment.
And that was that.
As the memory of your conversation draws to a close, Wednesday sighs. A sad, drawn-out sigh that was so unlike her.
She detested what you do to her. How you affected her this way. How you made her feel. Feelings were a trivial matter, she had decided from a young age.
But you?
You made her feel things that frustrated her, things that made her head spin and her heart pound. It was maddening.
She despised it. No, loathed it. She hated it so much that, during that one fateful day by the lake, she had accepted your advances of affection. She hated it so much that she had spent precious amounts of her time with you, talking and talking until she had realized that hours had gone by since you had started. Hours that she could've spent working on her novel.
She hated every bit of it.
She hated the way her heart hammered in her throat as she leaned in that night, just as you had done the same. The feeling of your lips tracing over hers...
She hated how it felt so right. So good.
Wednesday shivers.
But now? There was none of that. You hadn't talked all day, let alone spent any time together since your argument that morning. Wednesday hated how it felt, but not in the good kind of way.
For once, though she would never admit it...
She misses you.
What she wouldn't give to be able to stab herself at that very moment. The mere idea of "missing someone" was entirely foreign to her.
Until you.
A choking feeling wells up in her throat, one that she desperately tries to shove down. She would've succeeded, too, if it wasn't for the sound of a door opening up behind her.
"... Wednesday?"
She turns. There you stand, framed in the doorway, looking as though you're expecting the worst.
"I got your message from Enid. You wanted to talk?" You inquire timidly.
She nods, gesturing to the spot next to her.
You approach her cautiously, taking your place next to her by the balcony as the two of you gaze off into the distance.
The silence drags on for a good two minutes before Wednesday breaks the silence.
"I owe you an apology." She says simply.
You gaze at her in awe.
"It's okay." You blurt out, taken aback by her forwardness.
"No, it isn't." She shakes her head. She turns her cold gaze on you, and from what you can tell, this is taking a great deal of effort on her part just to be able to express herself this much. "Y/N, what I did was wrong. Rather, it's what I didn't do. You were a loving partner from the very beginning, and I failed to appreciate that."
You raise your eyebrows in surprise. This didn't sound like her at all.
"Wednesday, are you feeling okay...?"
She chooses to ignore this.
"Y/N..." She takes a deep breath, as though resigning herself to the worst. "You... You matter to me."
She looks pained.
Part of you is wildly unsettled by her behavior, while the other half of you finds it hard not to chuckle at her attempts to be expressive.
"... And?" You tease, pushing your luck a little bit more.
Wednesday gives you a cold stare.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry." You laugh nervously. "It's just, why are you telling me these things now?"
Silence falls between you two.
"You need to know, Y/N, that despite the way I... act around you, I... I do not despise you. Far from it, actually."
You can feel your heart pounding in your chest. Would she finally be able to say it...?
"Yes, Wends? What is it?"
"Y/N..." She gulps, the first sign of nervousness finally setting in. "You should know that...that I..."
You can feel her resolve crumbling.
"That you what, Wednesday?" You press, taking her hand in yours.
She opens her mouth to speak, but no words come out. For a moment, she seems to teeter on the verge of saying, 'that I love you', but instead...
"I..." She averts her gaze, staring resolutely at the ground. "... I don't hate you, Y/N."
You can feel yourself deflate.
"Oh." It takes a moment for you to recover, but you pat her hand consolingly. You knew that she had done her best.
"Well... I don't hate you too, Wednesday." You smile encouragingly.
She glances up at you, gazing at you with a mysterious look in her eyes. To your surprise, she begins to edge closer to you, her gaze never once faltering nor breaking.
"Wednesday, what are you doing?" You chuckle nervously.
No reply. She continues to lean in ever closer, without ever flinching or averting her stare. Her dark, abyssal eyes gaze deep into yours as the distance between your faces grows smaller and smaller by the second, and by now her face is a mere two inches away from your own.
You're suddenly aware of what was happening.
"W-Wait—" You whisper, but to no avail.
You never get to finish your sentence as her lips gently press against yours.
It feels so good.
And so... right.
The way her lips pucker up and part to welcome your own just feels... intoxicating. Surreal. But before you can even register the kiss more fully in your mind, she pulls away, giving you another one of her cold, sharp-edged stares.
"Tell anyone of what just happened, Y/N L/N, and I swear I will skin you alive."
You chuckle nervously.
"I swear, I won't. You have my word."
Without thinking, you throw both arms around your goth girlfriend. To your immense surprise and relief, she doesn't recoil or pull away from your touch. Instead, she does something that surprises you more than anything that had happened so far that evening.
She hugs you back.
Wednesday slips both arms around you, holding you close as you caress each other underneath the light of the full moon. A cool breeze blows through, causing Wednesday to shiver slightly in the evening air.
"I don't hate you, Y/N." She repeats for the second time that evening, her voice muffled as she buries her face in the crook of your neck.
You smile, giving her a gentle squeeze.
"I love you too, Wednesday."
Maybe things would work out between you two.
