WRITING GOAL FOR 2021

Get started on my cottagecore fantasy novel featuring a polyamorous throuple consisting of a grumpy af cottage witch with too many hobbies, a badass faerie warrior & the sweetest baker ever to live. (also appearing: an eternally exasperated shapeshifting familiar and annoying townspeople)

Nova Palpatine is the sister of Rey Palpatine and the granddaughter of Emperor Sheev Palpatine. She grew up on Jakku with her younger sister Rey until she was grabbed while scavenging for food and was traded off as a slave for portions until she ended up on an terrestrial forested planet. Under the care of a woman named Bylsma, Nova learned of creatures called Norwoods and to stay away from them as she began learning of her Force abilities and hearing voices in her head. One day, Nova witnessed a shuttle crashing and she saved the two travelers from a Norwood by using her Force ability to paralyze it. When the First Order came to retrieve them, they taken Nova to meet Snoke who graciously accepted her to learn of the dark side. Not knowing her family’s name, let alone remembering her parents, Snoke granted her the last name of Hux and made it Armitage’s duty to watch over her like an adoptive brother. 

Alongside Kylo Ren, Nova grew to be a powerful Force user to the point that Kylo despised yet admired her for it. When he’s sent on the mission to retrieve the map to Luke Skywalker, Nova’s told to stay behind to work with Armitage Hux on the Starkiller Base weapon that can wipe out other planets. Her conflict begins when she’s then put on task to accompany Kylo on getting the map since he’s been getting sidetracked which ultimately leads Nova to come face to face with her baby sister, Rey.

10. Do you set yourself deadlines?Yes but then I never follow through with them cause procrastination. 

13.  Describe your writing process from idea to polishedMainly it’s opening up a word doc, letting my cat walk all over the keyboard, forgetting about it. Repeat. Also write down random ideas in notebooks (always a different one), obsessing over ideas in my head and making graphics without actually writing

30.  Favourite idea you haven’t started on yet(I can’t choose one :’D )Fanfic wise, probably my Vampire Diaries/The Originals one because the last season for both shows really annoyed me. Plus I honestly love my main OC Eirene and her ragtag found family. She’s probably one of the most selfless characters and has been through so much but she still keeps going. Original fiction wise, all of my Devil Town books cause each one is different as are the main characters. Specifically at the moment, I’d have to say Rattling Chains, as it’s pretty much two best friends on the sidelines of all the crazy things that happen in their town and their occasional Scooby Doo style adventures (did I mention one of them is a ghost?)

33.  Have you ever killed a main character?YES. Both in my writing and in the idea process. In my original mental draft of the Everetts (which is kind of like my child at this point), it was very very different. A couple of characters got cut and others were rewritten. It sucked so bad because one of them was a literal angel child but he just didn’t fit.In my writing, I have. Both in my original fiction and fanfiction and oh man

Not to mention in 2 of my fanfics, so many freaking characters die in canon and it’s just like ‘WHY?!’
