Final Post / Goodbye
After some consideration, I have decided to stop using tumblr services. There is a direct reason for my decision, but it is not one which I wish to discuss here. Suffice it to say that I am quite disappointed and dissatisfied with some aspects of tumblr, in particular certain policies and the way in which these are currently being applied. I therefore find that is it necessary and right for me to stop using tumblr.
I have found many amazing people and have followed your tumblrs with much curiosity and interest throughout my time here. I shall miss seeing your posts.
To those of you who have followed my tumblr, thank you for viewing the things I have posted. Thank you for taking the time to like, reblog, comment, or otherwise support my activity here. I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing my thoughts and interests with you all.
For anyone wishing to remain in contact with me, you may do so via email at [email protected] – I hope that I will be able to continue communicating with you in this way.
Thank you kindly to one and all. Take care always and all the best.

RIP Wes Craven (1939-2015)
Sad news of the passing of American film director, writer, producer, and actor, Wesley Earl “Wes” Craven (2nd August, 1939–30th August, 2015). Wes Craven will perhaps be best remembered for the creation of the A Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise, featuring the character Freddie Krueger.
Additionally, Wes Craven directed all four of the films in the Scream series (arguably a postmodern take on the slasher film genre), featuring the character of Ghostface. Amongst his other films are such titles as The Hills Have Eyes (1977), The Last House on the Left (1972), The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988), The People Under the Stairs (1991), Vampire in Brooklyn (1995), Cursed (2005), Red Eye (2005), and My Soul to Take (2010).
RIP Wes Craven (1939-2015). Thank you for the pleasure you brought through your work, and especially for all the scares! You really did give us some powerful nightmares (and more than one sleepless night!). God bless.

“Catch My Breath” by Marty Ross on BBC Radio 4 Extra is a contemporary supernatural thriller inspired by a figure found in old Scottish folklore, namely that of the Beatha Greimach – literally “The Breath Thief” – a Celtic demon said to lure its victims into a kiss which would drain the souls from their bodies.
(Five 30-minute episodes: Episode One (available for 7 days) | Episode Two (8 days) | Episode Three (9 days) | Episode Four (10 days) | Episode Five (11 days) – Well worth listening to).
