Ok so I am currently reading The Shadow of Kyoshi and rewatching Legend of Korra... yet again and there is something that has been bugging me for a couple days.
In the Kyoshi books,and ATLA they explain to us the importance hair has for Fire nationals. How it represents honor, the position and ranking of said person, etc. Sooo... WHY DOES GENERAL IROH HAVE SHORT HAIR IN TLOK??
When we see Fire Lady Izumi she does have long hair and sports the traditional topknot. But Iro has a much modern and short haircut.
PS I don’t know if this has been explained at some point, it’s just been bugging me for the couple last days.

Ok but llike, I want more Kyoshi books. I know they said “The Shadow of Kyoshi” is the last one, but I need more.
I am not against a series or animated series but I know it is going to be so complicated that they make something as good as the books (adaptation is complicated)
Also and not totally related more LOK comics.

Today in I should've realize I am gay ages ago
I never had a male crush. Like I could admit that a boy is attractive but I never got why girls got so into their crushes. I remember once in middle school my friends asked who my crush was and when I tried to answer like always "I don't know/I don't have one" they wouldn't accept it so I just chose a random guy in or class and jus stuck with it the rest of the school year. But looking back now that I embraced being gay I realize that all my crushes were girls even if I wouldn't admit to myself they were.
