I feel like we don’t talk about Gordo’s height enough.
Like this man is shorter than a 16-year old and still is always ready to fight anyone and anything.

Remember sad montage of Emily slowly losing interest in Jessie as she grows up and her interests change in Toy Story 2? The same thing happened with my ao3 tab on Safari. You can make the same montage with 3 to 4 active ao3 tabs slowly being replaced by online shops and university stuff and now there is only one lonely ao3 tab sitting open at the far end of the list. “When She Loved Me” by Randy Newman playing in the background.

If I had a coin for every time my favourite character was a man with magic abilities connected to his hands, working as a mechanic in a small American town, who also had an abusive father and rich boyfriend, in a book with a raven in the title, I would have two coins, which isn’t much, but it is weird that there are two of them.

Some LGBT+ Fantasy/Fiction Book Recommendations
I’ve never really done a post like this, but I’ve seen some recommendation lists floating around for pride month but very few that include some of my favorite, more obscure LGBT+ books/series, so here we go!
(All of these books have LGBT+ characters as MAIN CHARACTERS, not side characters. I’m linking & providing the synopsis for the first book in each series.)
Lord of the White Hell by Ginn Hale
1. Lord of the White Hell Book 1
2. Lord of the White Hell Book 2
(This duology also deals with cultural differences and race issues, it’s one of my favorites. There’s a spin off series but I haven’t read it.)
Kiram Kir-Zaki may be considered a mechanist prodigy among his own people, but when he becomes the first Haldiim ever admitted to the prestigious Sagrada Academy, he is thrown into a world where power, superstition and swordplay outweigh even the most scholarly of achievements. But when the intimidation from his Cadeleonian classmates turns bloody, Kiram unexpectedly finds himself befriended by Javier Tornesal, the leader of a group of cardsharps, duelists and lotharios who call themselves Hellions. However Javier is a dangerous friend to have. Wielder of the White Hell and sole heir of a dukedom, he is surrounded by rumors of forbidden seductions, murder and damnation. His enemies are many and any one of his secrets could not only end his life but Kiram’s as well.
Tales of the High Court by Megan Derr
1. The High King’s Golden Tongue
2. The Pirate of Fathoms Deep
3. The Heart of the Lost Star
4. The Mercenaries of the Stolen Moon
(Book 1 is my favorite, but these are all so good. Every book contains trans characters, and they’re main characters in books 3 & 4. They’re set in a society where gender identity is highly respected, people are open about their sexualities, and basically everything and everyone is normal. Diverse with a capital D!)
Prince Allen has trained his entire life to follow in the footsteps of his illustrious mother, who has made their kingdom one of the wealthiest and most influential in the empire. For the past few years he has trained to become the new consort of the High King. The only thing no one prepared him for was the stubborn, arrogant High King himself, who declares Allen useless and throws him out of court. High King Sarrica is ruling an empire at war, and that war will grow exponentially worse if his carefully laid plans do not come to fruition. He’s overwhelmed and needs help, as much as he hates to admit it, but it must be someone like his late consort: a soldier, someone who understands war, who is not unfamiliar with or afraid of the harsher elements of rule. What he doesn’t need is the delicate, pretty little politician foisted on him right as everything goes wrong.

I don’t know if it’s been done before
I just can’t stop thinking about the fact that Jesper’s second name is Llewellyn which is one of the ways to spell a traditional Welsh name Llywelyn. I mean like Llywelyn the Great you know the legendary Welsh king *wink wink. Just imagine a Six of Crows/Raven Cycle crossover with Gansey being really interested in this strange boy whose second name refers to a frickin’ WELSH KING. Like, does he have any Welsh ancestors? Is this a sign? How much does he know about Welsh kings?
