I don’t think she’s a good person by any means. You can’t be a good person while wealth hoarding in the way she does haha. i was mainly talking about the reasons as to why people typically come after her and how baseless they often are. You’re totally right about the fact that we should hold her accountable (because we should), i just think that it isn’t productive if you aren’t calling out other artists for the same thing. i just don’t think that there’s any real merit in letting our personal opinions about her as a person interfere with how we consume her artwork, which may be an unpopular opinion (as separating the art from the artist often is) but is one that makes the most sense to me.
i also don’t mean to say that all the criticism she gets comes from a misogynistic place, but you’ve ought to admit that a good amount of it does. the language we use when talking about these issues is important.
