do you have goodreads or any list of books you recommend ?
Depends on what you are looking for. I mostly read science books, so I'd recommend any that are on my goodreads. I especially liked the book Your brain is a time machine. Do you have any good recommendations?
Wow I just found your blog and I love your art. Your journals inspire me, I want to do similar stuff, I can feel them so much! What does the process of putting them together look like? Do you collect lots of different paper, bind it and then journal in it afterwards? Or do you make individual pieces and join them afterwards? Thank you for sharing your art with the world!!
Thank you! Usually I start with a few pieces of paper that are bound together and then add as I make new stuff.
I also make art on loose paper and add it later to the journal, so it's a bit of a mix.
“Things don’t have purposes, as if the universe were a machine, where every part has a useful function. What’s the function of a galaxy? I don’t know if our life has a purpose and I don’t see that it matters. What does matter is that we’re a part. Like a thread in a cloth or a grass-blade in a field. It is and we are. What we do is like wind blowing on the grass. […] We’re in the world, not against it. […] The world is, no matter how we think it ought to be. You have to be with it. You have to let it be.”

isn't that just what time will do? make you blink and realize you've changed just like the trees in winter. most of it eaten by dreaming, arranging, touching, everything everflowing. for january's patreon
Can you see me now? All of me, even the insides? Would you still accept me this way?
I can be pretty too.

This set of illustrations was the direct result of my anatomy classes. This semester we are covering neuro-anatomy and illustrating the content and subject matter is my method of coping. I was in the mood for some grotesque beauty in graphite. It's nice to take a break from the colourful pencils every one in a while and produce something a little atmospherically different.
When I take a break from university, I find solace in sharpening a pencil and talking to the paper. These days, I've been attracted to this style of illustration.
What do you think? Is it haunting, or pretty? Perhaps both?
Happy Friday, folks✨
