this is (part of) a scene from my fic “limerence - iterum” that comes a bit later in the story but i was too excited to write it so i did :p obvi tentative (and a bit rushed oops) since im not at that part yet, so it might change as i go on, but enjoy :)
“You said it yourself, Neji.” Her voice was gentle, resigned. It held none of that anger he’d expected—hoped for. She released a short, humourless laugh, her voice lowering into a gentle whisper, as if pointing out an unmistakable truth, “We can’t be friends.”
“Tenten.” His voice was pained. Desperate. Imploring.
Her face softened, if infinitesimally, and those beautiful brown eyes gazed into his with so much ill-concealed longing he was ready to get on his knees and beg.
Beg for her forgiveness. Plead with her to give them another chance. To forget he ever said those senseless words. He was ready to get on his knees and repent ceaselessly like he were a wicked sinner and she his altar.
Her brows pulled into a soft frown, and she faintly shook her head. “I'm too much for you,” she said in a broken whisper, almost desperately. He didn't know who she was trying to convince of this—himself or her. “I don't” —she looked away, swallowed— “I don't regret you, Neji. And I can only hope you think back fondly on what we had, because—”
Her voice wavered, broke, and she took a shuddering breath to compose herself, her eyes going skyward to stop the tears collecting on her waterline from flowing.

Imagine having to share a (small) bed with Naruto before either of you know your romantic feelings for each other >:3c
getting all blushy and shy and awkward… trying not to touch each other in any way that could be considered as lewd…
i think he’s incredibly sweet, so if you’re not all that familiar with each other, he makes sure you both sleep with your backs pressing against each other instead of spooning or something like that.
but since he has a crush on you, his heart starts pounding each time you move even an inch against him, like even at the slightest of movements. it’s even worse if you have to share a blanket because then his body heat is pouring into yours and vice versa, and he’s getting slightly sweaty because of the warmth, but at the same time he’s scared of moving and waking you up; he doesn’t even dare to THINK of asking if it’s all right if he takes his t-shirt off, the poor man!
so he’s just silently suffering and is all pent up and tense. and since he’s tall and beefy and muscular, he’s also too big for the bed, so he has to be careful that he doesn’t fall out of it throughout most of the night — all while making sure that he’s giving you way more space than you actually need and that you’re comfortable enough to sleep.
he’s all groggy in the morning and his hair is messy, blonde strands facing every direction, and his voice is deep when he asks you if you slept well. i think he passes out the second he gets the room to himself even though he’s secretly enjoyed the whole suffering part much more than he expected.
he’d do it again if he had the chance. but maybe this time he’d try to be a bit smooth and would ask if it’s okay if he spoons you so that you can save up on some much needed space, nothing more!
