This year I wanted to make some recolors of my kitchen set, and it got WAY OUT OF HAND. In this set you’ll find some new things and some old things. The bulk of the set is from The Kitchen of Tomorrow, but you’ll find some nice grungy Bedroom Furniture in there, as well as some brand new items! ;) Even though these are recolors, you still get the full palettes from the original items, complete with brand new bump and spec maps to give it that last grungy chef's kiss.
I hope this set fills a hole in any post apocalyptic saves you may have, or you just have fun playing around with it!
The question: “Looks like you’re totally cool with being a ghoul, but you certainly know that ghouls have a tendancy to "grow wild”, which is just a matter of time, could happen in a hundred years, could happen tomorrow, you never know. Does it bother you in any way? Do you worry about hurting your loved ones if they happen to be nearby?“
Actually while I’m thinking about it Fallout has a tendency to use setting to imply themes that it doesn’t actually want to get into
Fallout 3 wants you to think it’s a game about slavery, and uses the DC setting to imply that, but in the game itself slavery is largely perfunctory at best and unnecessarily “nuanced” at worst.
Fallout New Vegas is a game about imperialism, and uses the Wild West aesthetic to its advantage, but empathy for native people is largely absent.
Fallout 4 wants you to think it’s a game about revolution and freedom, set in the heart of the American Revolution, but any allusions to that are hollow echos of the past, warped by years of propaganda and misinformation.
Fallout 76 wants you to think it’s a game about cooperation and working together, and uses the backdrop of coal and uranium strikes in West Virginia to establish that, but cooperation is pretty heavily downplayed outside of PVE events.
If you follow Deacon’s voice actor, Ryan Alosio, on Instagram, you’ll know that he’s an awesome dude. You’ll also know that Ryan loves Deacon as much as we do, and is constantly posting stuff about him, and even makes posts from Deacon’s perspective.
Ryan recently made this post, where he shows Deacon sitting at the Railroad safe house spot that overlooks the entrance to Vault 111.
This post is a video, where you can hear crickets, and Deacon whispering, “hmm… quiet tonight.”
This audio in itself isn’t that significant, but by showing Deacon sitting right there at vault 111, “watching… waiting…” as the description says, it kinda creates the idea that Deacon WAS waiting for the sole survivor to emerge.
So another cool thing about Ryan is that he will answer your messages and questions to him. So I very bluntly asked this:
To which Ryan replies:
If you check out the rest of the comments on this post, Ryan pretty much drops all kinds of hints to other fans that Deeks was watching for a while.
Here’s something else that’s interesting, that Ryan just posted today:
It’s another video, you hear Deacon’s voice again, and in this one he says,
“They say you shouldn’t judge someone until you’ve walked at least 100 miles in their moccasins, yeah, well I say you shouldn’t judge someone until you’ve spent at least 200 years in their cryo-pod… I don’t recommend it… trust me.”
This one is a little more interesting, as it possibly suggests that Deacon was another Vault 111 resident? Or maybe he is simply speaking as if he is defending the Sole Survivor’s actions??
Feel free to discuss. Also, check out Ryan’s instagram, he’s an awesome and incredibly friendly dude, and he truly is a member of the Deacon Squad.
theres a hole in the wall in my brothers’ room because they were fighting (for fun not anger) in there once and one of them knocked the other into the wall so hard his head made that hole, so they put two small skeletons in there for decoration
A little collection Fallout 4 landscape warmups from the last couple days. I wanted to challenge myself to make atmosphere with as few shapes and details as possible. Please enjoy~

A QUICK TUTORIAL ON HOW I DESIGN MY GHOULS INCASE ANYONE WAS CURIOUS! :D
Step 1: Make a Guy,
Step 2. Revoke Nose and Eyebrow Privledges
Step 3. Emphasize muscles, skull structure, whatever
(*Can be minimized/skipped for younger/chubbier ghouls if you want)
Step 4. Wrinkle
Step 5. Texture and add (optional) scarring
Coloring: I try to keep the base color in the example range with different levels of saturation and lightness. Funkier cool colors usually get saved for if I have a story reason to give it to a ghoul (how they ghoulified or something that happened to them)
Eyes: I try to keep w/ the red/pink sclera with black sclera being used only for the fully blacked out fo4 flavored eyes (Glowing Ones being an exception)
Scarring: Scarring/radiation burns are usually darker than the base skintone and can be a great storytelling opportunity. It can hint at where they live/lived, how they ghoulified, how old they are, ect. ect.

Of Course I am not the End All Be All of ghoul design. This is just what I usually think about when I design ghouls for fun or for adoptables. Obvi this doesn’t cover everything, but if y’all want any more stuff on my Design Process lemme know lmao.
