all of your feelings are valid as in “worth acknowledgment and internal consideration” but some of your feelings are also stupid and mean, and you need to deal with that shit without making it anyone else’s problem
I just want you all to know, that if and when this site does experience a real exodus and/or get sunsetted for good, even if we don't keep in touch I'll remember you so fondly. You're the online equivalent of the other kid on the beach where we built sandcastles together; the girl at the campsite where we explored the trees. You're the drunk person who shared kind words in the bathroom at the club, you're the talented artists at the life drawing class or the poetry night in a city where I don't live anymore. It makes me sad that maybe in the future our paths won't cross so easily, but even when we leave this little shared piece of cyberspace, carried away on our briefly intersecting trajectories, just know I still love you
Taking away the word “liminal” from nostalgia-bait accounts and so-called “aesthetic” webpages. Liminal is for rest stops. It’s for non-places, like parking garages or paths or BETWEEN PLACES. Your computer room in 2007 is NOT liminal, it’s an extremely specific place and time. The word you’re looking for is “nostalgia bait.”
You could also use the word “non-place” for some of these pictures- it is by definition subjective. But again, your family’s living room in 2002 is not it.
need a robotic nun to lightly rap me on the knuckles every time i chase temptation out of Compulsion rather than Desire, "if you're gonna Sin, at least do it through Agency and Intention rather than Base Impulse," she would say, "do it because you Want It, not Just because you Don't want to do Whatever You're Currently Doing"
I’m working on an audio transcript using voice recognition technology, and this gentleman has a very nice accent, but when he says “got” the word is often noted down as “God”.
We don’t know what God tested and what God registered as true or untrue.
We don’t know what God entered into the code since the last time we tested.
We don’t know what God ticketed as an issue and what just God ignored.
Now we know what God changed, but we don’t have a record of what God approved.
Funniest thing about the Old Testament is how it consistently disparages bronze-age hero type characters crafted by its historical peers and lifts up that saddest patheticest wet little meow meows youve ever seen
VERY EXCITED FOR TODAY. this sun has trotted up again and given us another chance to prove love. CANT WAIT TO GET OUT THERE AND TAKE THIS CHANCE. WHAT A GIFT. LETS TROT
