I have been feeling alittle crazy with how much i have disliked the changes for Shadow and Bone season 2 and the timeline changes.
One of the biggest things im confused about is why tf they are introducing Per Haskell now?? Like your telling me the dregs are there under Per Haskell the entire time but Kaz didnt build them up lile he was supposed to? How did Kaz get this Crow Club?! If in this timeline he hadnt had a partnership with Haskell from the beginning isnt it fucking crazy some random barrel thug is trying to strong arm his way into his gang?? The reason the fight was important was there were dregs that Kaz recruited that were waiting to follow his lead and Kaz had to prove himself. Im just so confused.
I just feel like the changes made take away huge emotional beats ..
I was one of those people who started the AFtG series with the only expectation of found family and queer representation and i laugh now after my 3rd or 4th reread bc i really thought the couple was gonna be Neil and Kevin for the longest time. Like im pretty sure i was like Neil when he found out andrew only hated 90 percent of him.
Yeah if i had money to turn AFTG into a tv series i would beg and plead RKS to use their entire discography for the series. I just love the vibe from the band and i end up listening to them inbetween reading the series.
Ah few weeks later, its 12 am and im trying desperately to go to sleep i flashback to the TRC series (i believe The Dream Thieves) where small Declan asks Niall Lynch what happened when Declan was born and he replied with "I don't know i wasn't there". Just to be told in Greywaren that Niall Lynch was in fact there. That that memory was so happy he "had" to forget it when he and Mor split and it makes me so fucking said for baby Declan.
Fuck idk if that book was trying to redeem Niall or not but for me it doesnt work. Declan went on thinking he was no ones favorite all thr lynch brothers thought that and that hurt him so bad but it turns out he was the reason his dad and birth mother split. Because Declan loved Ronan and Niall loved Declan more than he desired to stay with Mor.
The absolute mental gymnastics straight people go through to try to convince themselves Will Byers is straight should not be surprising to me but alas. Its just bizarre. I SEE PEOPLE SAYING WILL IS IN LOVE WITH EL AND IS JEALOUS OF MIKE. Another person said IDK El said he had a crush on a 'girl'. Babes she also said he was painting something for his crush (see Wills painting for Mike) and and on top of that she also said she was doing well with lots of friends.. El is not a reliable narrator.
Its 3am where i live and im sitting here punching my mattress. Ik the moment he told her it wasnt going go last. It was cat blanc all over again and tbh thats so frustrating. How long is this going to be. Idc if they get together i just want them to know their true identities.
Ah, I reread It finally. I read it the first time after It 2017 for content in between the first and second movie. Rereading now after watching both movies in an innumerable amount of times. I have alot of thoughts. Now most queer people reading 100 percent picked up on Eddie and Richie, ik yall did and if you didnt reread it again bc it was all right there and it just frustrates me that the movies really just didnt touch on Eddies internalized gay panic. It was only Richies.
Like I am not sure how it translated to anyone else but Eddie was gay for sure and Richie read as bi. But i felt the book really focused on eddies panic the most. Thats why it was weird that in the second movie, it could read that Richies attraction to Eddie was one sided.
My theory as to why they didn't put alot of emphasis on Eddie or explore is identity was bc they didnt want to be accused of the bury your gays trope especially since the movie starts with pretty vicious hate crime against a gay couple but like i said bc of that decision it made it look really one sided on richie side and that makes me sad.
Also while im ranting about this book. Im glad that the movie was poking fun at the the ending of the book bc it was bullshit. Why did they need to lose their memories a second time? It was gone. It was the reason they lost their memories the first time and regressed as characters. Are they going to regress again bc they lost their memories again? Idk im just glad the movie fixed that one part.
Mr Impossible: wait the Moderators are WHAT? What did I miss? I thought they were dreams?? In the last chapter when the fire and planes crashing and cars crashing cuz a lot of dreamt ppl? How many dreamt ppl are in the world- did Ronan dream all those ppl are they his?
Turns out im an idiot and i didnt proofread my og post lol. You'll have to forgive me bc that book took me and my already dwindling mental health down q few notches lmao.
But yea they were dreams not dreamers
