i understand the appeal of the in-universe memes about ninjago city getting destroyed constantly but there is so much more of ninjago to talk about!!!! give me ignacia memes about them bragging about kai. give me cole’s fiercely defensive hometown. show me JAMANAKAI VILLAGE so much oddly specific shit has happened there. idk. shintaro. stiix’s lingering resentment for them. the sea of sands unites behind jay like he’s an olympic athlete and then trashes on him for falling for the city life (becoming a celebrity). the samurai x fanclub discourse. there is so much to do with an in-universe meme format!!!!

Okay slight rant may be incoming but I actually feel like Lloyd’s anger in Crystalized was completely justified.

Idk if this is what that’s about, but I for one actually find it very relatable that he continues to be angry at Garmadon throughout the seasons after they split in s10. Sure, Lloyd had no other character development, but I do feel like this is something that’s realistic especially for someone like Lloyd’s who’s gone through all this bullshit with his dad.

I think the main problem is that we haven’t seen Lloyd angry nearly enough in the other seasons. If he had had an entire arc from the trilogy till Seabound abt how he needs to handle his anger better, but then Nya’s sacrifice ruins it all and he has to go through the arc in Crystalized all over again? Ending with him being in the oni form for longer than 5 seconds? Yeah that would have probably worked a lot better.

Of course it felt out of character if we barely see this side of the character— or, rather, the last time we’ve seen him like this is in season 1, when he’s a ten year old just recently told he needs to kill his father.
