This was Thomas’ perfect ending... I don’t have a problem with trying to make him an antagonist. In fact that would make sense.  Like Fundamentally, Batman to Thomas is about Vengeance, His Batman is a weary Soldier fighting a lost cause and it will never bring that which is lost back and he knows it but fighting is the only thing he has left. He fights to take as many monsters down with him.

Batman to Bruce is about Justice, His Batman is a crusader trying to accomplish an impossible task but inspires others to strive for that goal. He knows it but fighting for it is the only way it will ever have a chance at coming true even if he doesn't live to see it.

so what happens when you have a Batman who only had a bitter end to look forward too suddenly in the Main DC verse where that bleak ending isn’t the absolute. Unfortunately that's not the story King wanted to tell.

Honestly the real problem is Thomas is  clearly being written in to takeover for Bane who was suppose to be the Main Villain of his own arc " City of Bane " is supposed to be the Climax of the Bruce vs Bane Trilogy but King  gravitated to Thomas being the pivotal figure and liked the idea of Father vs Son. 

The issue was tried to make a Thomas shaped Peg fit in a Bane shaped Hole. Even when Thomas is beaten They still talk like BANE is the mastermind. basically the story doesn't support the ground work and you can see the spots where the Thomas is the mastermind wallpaper is peeling back. 

Thomas even at his most violent would NEVER just leave Alfred's corpse for Bruce to find, That is such a Bane move. and that's what hurts City of Bane the most King clearly doesn't know who he wants to be the main villain missing the point thet Flashpoint Thomas shouldn't be a villain to begin with.

Thomas of all people should know that LOSS does not hinder the Batman, When Thomas lost his Alfred to Joker Martha, when Martha crippled his Selina when he failed to save other... He just doubled down on being Batman. even when his body began to give out.

Thomas thinking he could break Bruce is ridiculous, him going with Bane’s methods is ludicris. This is almost on The Gift levels of misunderstanding a character so they’ll do what you want.

Tony Goldmark said that Lupa's been way more toxic about this situation than the Walkers. She just needs to move on and continue her work. Everyone should. P.S. I'm a fan of you, Lupa and everyone else on CA formally or currently.

Look, I’m really glad that Tony has not seen as much of the bad stuff happening as many other people have. But his one singular experience absolutely does not speak for the two dozen other people who’ve spoken up about their bad experiences. I shouldn’t really have to repeat what I’ve already written, that I can understand how Allison can come off as aggressive as she has. But really–REALLY–look at the facts. 20-some-odd people have brought up very specific things on a pretty large sliding scale from “kinda douchey” to “holy shit, this is totally and completely unacceptable.” Tony’s experiences do NOT represent the rest of us. I’m not asking him to, either. If nothing bad has happened to him, then good. I would NEVER wish for something bad to happen to him or any of the other producers.

We’ve all continued our work just fine. But here’s the thing. If it’s coming out now, it’s for a reason. There’s too many of us who have been sitting on it for too long, and in some cases some people got SERIOUSLY hurt and had their lives ruined because we were all bullied into our own separate corners and never spoke up and did anything about it. We could have protected more people, but we didn’t. We said nothing. Or, in the case of some folks, some things were said, but nobody backed them up, or nobody was taking them seriously, or nobody was listening.

Well, people are both talking AND listening now. And, look, I know that it can come off as though we are out to tear down the monument that is Channel Awesome. I can think of a couple of people that this might be true of. But honestly, and I said this in another “tumblr ask” already, we have ZERO expectations that Channel Awesome will either change or go away. What we DO want to do is protect innocent people who might be getting taken advantage of, who might be getting their good talents and work ethics run into the ground by a company that doesn’t care if they live or die, a company that doesn’t even care about the image put out to their fan base and whether or not those fans have a good opinion of them. I’ll repeat that PEOPLE GENUINELY GOT HURT because people either didn’t speak up sooner, or people’s hearts were too hardened to listen. We don’t want that to happen again, either to another producer or to the fan base that is trying to get close to them.

Tony, I’m glad you’re okay. Good luck to you out there. But I’m sorry, two dozen people HAVE been hurt, and ONE person who has NOT been hurt does not make those other two dozen stories go away.
