I’d like to argue that Yang didn’t know she had romantic feelings for Blake after she left. I think it just hurt her a lot and she didn’t know why beyond her making a stronger bond with her than anyone else.
But the moment Blake shows up at the end of Volume 5, you see something strong stir in Yang. And I feel from that point on, she was determined to not let this girl go again, aware that Blake meant something more to her than just a friend.
Even up until Confessions, she was never sure that’s what those feelings were, but she always knew that she wanted Blake by her side. She definitely had thought a lot on it though. But Yang never had good role models for love like Blake did.
Blake fell in love first, or at least she realized it before Yang did. Argue with the wall

THIS is a mega folder containing literally everything rwby-related that is available right now on roosterteeth (+v9). rwby, fairytales, world of remnant, the grimm campaign, ice queendom (sub and dub), vtubing, all the behind-the-scenes stuff. everything.
plus soundtracks for every volume + IQ, and drm-free epubs.
i will add any additional rwby content released during the wind down period as it becomes available. V1-8 have an english subtitle track embedded in the files, V9 does not because it came from CR. IQ dub has english subtitles. and for the sake of completeness i pulled all the non-english subs available on CR for V1-9 as well, those are in there as loose .ass files for the time being.
whenever possible, buy physical media. learn how to strip drm out of digital content that you own and make it a habit to do so.

There’s the general idea of “Don’t yuck my yum.” People like the show. Full stop. People act like it’s a fucking crime to like RWBY for some reason. Like, so long as they aren’t beating it to kids (which, let’s be honest, is kind of a big problem in the anime community), let people enjoy stuff.
I wish people would stop adding qualifiers and caveats to why RWBY isn't perfect and just embrace it's a good show that deserves to be continued.
