As your fingers caress his back, he shivers. Your touch is cold and yet, you're so warm.
You breathe his name into his chest, and he wonders how a single word could have such an impact on him. How a word from you could have him feeling so... loved.
He feels the soft press of your lips on his cheek, then his neck, then his collarbones, each kiss washing over him like a gentle wave.
You hold his hand in your arms, embracing him in your warmth.
With you comes the end of winter, and the arrival of spring. With you comes comfort and warm temperatures and flowers and birdsong. Your presence alone is enough to ease him.

you think osamu miya dislikes you for the longest time because he's so damn blunt. where his brother is goofy and speaks his mind osamu often chooses not to speak at all. and when he does his words are exactly what's on his mind.
osamu has spent months trying to show you that has feelings for you. but in your perspective he acts more and more annoyed with you every day. he can't but roll his eyes when you miss his obvious flirting bc he knows you have no clue about his intentions. he's being so damn obvious.
every day he makes sure to cook you breakfast and bring it over because he just so 'happened' to make extra. he makes every excuse under the damn sun to stop by and check on you as often as possible. if he ever catches you in the middle of something he can help with he stops everything to make your life easier.
when he finds your ex at your doorstep one day he immediately steps in and asks the guy to back up. you clearly looked uncomfortable with his presence so his quick thinking told him to claim you as his.
"she's my girl. and she clearly doesn't want you here so get the fuck off her steps."
you turn to him with wide eyes but he holds his ground. when you offer to let him in he agrees and you thank him. but somehow you manage to slip in how great of a 'friend' osamu is.
he just sighs and hangs his head dejectedly while you let him know about your recent life updates. at least he was now upgraded to friend status. what the hell was he going to have to do for you to realize that he's in love with you?

sakusa kiyoomi that wasn't as successful in his vball career so he had to take over the family business when he turned thirty. being ceo of a multi-million dollar company was never something he wanted to do. but he always stepped up to the plate so he went to work doing the best job he could at learning the business.
a year after he took over as ceo and he was finally feeling comfortable. profits were higher than ever and his rigorous schedule of practically living in his office felt more manageable. or as manageable as running a company this big could feel.
then walked in a woman he hooked up with almost a year ago. she walked right into his corner loft apartment at noon on a sunday with a baby in her hands.
she sets the car seat down on the floor and casually lets sakusa know the kid is his and she wants nothing to do with it. an argument later and sakusa is left standing alone in his apartment with a tiny baby... girl? boy? he leaned down to greet the kid.
the next morning he is walking into his usual coffee shop with a car seat and two diaper bags filled to the brim with anything he could possibly need. he's struggling to carry all of the bags and car seat while getting his wallet out to pay for his coffee.
while waiting the baby starts crying and in walks you. you offer to help while he grabs his coffee and he hires you on the spot to please come to his work to help take care of his kid. after looking him up and down you can't help but take pity on the hot man and agree since you need a job anyway.

osamu miya was your rival back in high school when you both played volleyball in the same position on the men and women's teams. he always made time to go to your games and pointed out where you could improve or compliment good plays you made.
you left the small town you both shared right after high school and never looked back. osamu always wondered what happened to you but had no way of contacting you.
nearly ten years later you returned to the small town after finding out your ex fiance was cheating on you. little did you know you bought the shop right next to his restaurant. you come into town in the middle of the night and are struggling to open the shop door when osamu comes out with a bat ready to swing at your head.
he was obviously shocked to see you again and awkwardly stutters through helping you get inside. he can't believe you're moving in right next door. that night he calls up his girlfriend to break up with her. he has no idea if you're single, and highly doubts you would ever be interested in him. but he knew within minutes of seeing you again there was no one else for him but you.

osamu is absolutely emotionally incompetent. he’s had a crush on you since high school but ignored it and pushed it to the back of his mind all of these years. when you moved back in town recently with your very own kid, he felt those repressed feelings come back up all over again.
now that he is older and a little more emotionally capable he goes out of his way to see you. he claims that he just wants to be friends but atsumu and suna obviously know he has feelings.
he makes every excuse under the sun for why he can’t be with you. you have a kid. he’s busy with his restaurant. there’s no way you would ever be interested in him.
finally he realizes his bullshit after months of pining and atsumu convinces him to make a move. osamu would never admit it to his brother but his feelings for you mean so much more to him than his pride.

osamu’s daughter has been acting awfully confident lately and he has no doubt it’s thanks to his new pretty babysitter.
every time he makes pancakes for his babygirl now it’s ‘well y/n makes them in hearts for me. can you do that daddy? maybe she can teach you.’ he was a damn chef and his daughter thought he needed to ask for cooking advice.
your influence shows more and more everyday. you sing a fun little song while brushing her teeth so now he has to to stay cool too. you read the bedtime stories with different voices for each character than he did. you tied her shoes with bunny ears rather than the more practical loop de loop he does.
it took osamu weeks to realize he was jealous rather than annoyed with you. his daughter idolized you and had never seemed happier than she had with you in her life.
so he grit his teeth and reluctantly asked you to teach him the silly voices you do and how you tie the perfect bunny ears with shoe laces. you teased him the entire time but it was totally worth it
he draws the line when you try convincing her soccer is cooler than volleyball. he won’t have it lol

i want to start off and just tell you how amazing your single dad aus are and if i were to count how many times they've made my days i would need both my hands and feet and most likely have to borrow yours too. (that run-on sentence is way too long but i mean every word of it)
and you were asking for ideas and i was just thinking about single dad kiyoomi or tetsuro, or whoever, really, who is reading to their kid, and their kid is kind of just pointing along with their finger and trying to read/babble along with daddy. and it's just adorable that his baby is learning to become a reader, too. and, my gosh, he's just so goddamned proud 🥲

no because the first time tetsu sits down to read to his kid at night and his kid interrupts to start reading to him?? the man is so thankful his kiddo took over to read with their little finger pointing to each word because he is immediately tearing up.
you peak your head in to see how bedtime is going and see his little one happily chirping dr. seuss rhymes. meanwhile, tetsu is literally wiping streams of tears from his cheeks with a huge proud smile on his face.
he catches you watching from the doorway and you both share a big smile. you wave bye to give them their moment but he motions for you to come over and join them on the bed. after bedtime is over he comes downstairs to talk to you about how proud he is of his kid and tears up again just thinking about the future of his little family :’)

singledad!oikawa lets you drive all of his fancy cars whenever you want. once you’re moved into his house he considers what’s his is yours. he asks for a list of groceries and hands it off to his housekeeper to make sure you have everything you need.
singledad!oikawa slowly shows you more of his personality. he started out as this cold asshole boss but now you know that he makes breakfast every morning for his kid and insists on helping them get ready/doing their hair
singledad!oikawa shares a drink with you one night and casually mentions how attractive he finds you. you’re staring at him in shock but the cocky asshole just smirks and takes another sip of his drink
