I've noticed something about Papyrus. He describes some of his puzzles as if he can see them from a bird's eye view like the player instead of ground-level like a character. Some people interpret this as him being able to magically see from the player's point of view, but consider this: Papyrus has been shown to have the ability to levitate. I think it's more likely that he's using this ability to see the puzzles he's making from a bird's eye view. What do you think?

I do have the headcanon that Papyrus can somehow see things from the player’s view. It’s just a cool idea to go with Sans knowing about resets.
You make a really good point about Papyrus levitating. Maybe he really did just float up to see the puzzles from above. ^^ That’s very likely too.

I am having THOUGHTS about the Gaster Blaster aus. WHY IS THERE NOT MORE PAPYRUS CENTRIC WHUMP THIS AU IS PERFECT FOR IT!
Papyrus is stronger and healthier, meaning Gaster would be more likely to focus on trying to train him rather than Sans
Nature vs nurture, but both his nature and nurture were to be a killer and he STILL chooses to be good
Flowey and Papyrus parallels Flowey and Papyrus parallels - they were both brought to life against their will by a Royal Scientist that thought they were doing the right thing but unwittingly hurt them until they became the opposite of what was expected of them, but ended up living by completely different philosophies- Flowey and Papyrus parallels Flowey and Papyrus parallels
NEVER FORGET (never forget who you are, never forget who made you, never forget that a demon can hide behind a smile, never forget that a demon could still want to be good)
Genocide route, faced with the Human that Gaster saw in the world, and seeing a twisted reflection of himself instead (and he forgives and forgives and forgives because he was raised to end a war and he would rather do that with peace than bloodshed)
True Pacifist, he goes to the Surface, surrounds himself with humans that would have been dead in a crueller lifetime (humans that he could have ended the lives of with a single blow but he doesn't because despite everything, he is what he is, not what he was meant to be)

I have seen a few whump/angst Aus involving Papyrus as a Gaster Blaster, or Papyrus owning Blasters. They’re pretty good and I agree that I wish there needs to be more of them.
I love these so much. ;w;
In a fic I used to write, We Need To Talk, I did have Papyrus as a Gaster Blaster. I will have to get back to finishing that fic eventually, been putting it off for years due to lack of inspiration and lots of anxiety.

Hey, Papyrus Anon Asks back again (yep, I was the sam person. Glad to see my awkward Vibes still going strong) Want more you say? Hehehe don't mind if I do.
The Charon
Got a bit (ok, a lot) inspired by the pap chat logs (I promise I'm not stalking you, complete coincidence) on ao3. Riverpapyrus in particular caught my eye. You see, I'm rather interested in mythology. The river person, to me, symbolised Charon. (Mysterious person in a boat, helping you cross the Underground? C'mon. A dreamer's gotta dream) A skeleton in a cloak, fulfilling an already Death-associated role? YES. I don't want to spend too long going on about it since it is just my spin off something you already know.
Side note: It'll also make both Sans and Papyrus have a role associated with gold so that's super neat.
Overtale
AU where the humans lost the war. Instead of determination, they find what they need is monster Hope. The only thing that remains after the monster dies. Here, it is not Asriel that Falls (why would he, he has a loving family at home), but a young skeleton called Wingdings (do you see where this is going?). He lives to adulthood, trying every method he can to break the barrier. Until one human, believed to be furious about the fact that a monster will likely be the one to save humanity, sabatages his lastest project to break down at a crucial moment. It dooms them both. Who would have guessed?
Things go on, a few more monsters Fall and proceed to get their dust harvested for the original Break The Barrier extravaganza since Wingding's tragic demise also spelled the end of better freedom plans. Thanks for nothing, Chara. (Hmm whatyasay). Life goes on. A new, less successful scientist is appointed, who dabbled a bit with Hope and necromancy before promptly realising just how bad of an idea that was. Everyone's starting to believe that they'd never be getting out. And then another monster Falls, one with enough Hope to break the barrier. One who looks strangely familiar. Another skeleton, one named Papyrus. 😏
Phew, this ask is getting a bit long and I STILL have more ideas ready to go. Guess I'll just send another ask when you least expect it 🙃

I’m glad you checked out the chatlogs. ^^ It’s very nostalgic to me to be part of those conversations. I agree that the River Person symbolizes Charon, or is sort of a reference to him. We never see who is underneath the cloak, but it would be interesting if they are also a skeleton.
Ooh, that sounds like an interesting AU. :o Humans being trapped instead of monsters but a similar event plays out. And having Papyrus as the playable character, with Gaster in the place of Chara, sounds like a lot of fun.
