So-.... this page has been quite dead for the past two years. But well ! I had a pretty good reason ! I just graduated from Gobelins in Paris and did this movie with a wholesome teammate named Rose Gallerand (@truite_wasabi on instagram) !
The real story of a young lady from Costa Rica, Pacifica Zelaya, who went to study in Belgium at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in 1905. Unfortunately, there, she met Edouard Mailly, another student who would become her fiancé. Our movie tells the story of a relationship, a concert and her last evening.

(and you got subtitles in english on youtube !)
In addition...
I have to thank you all in a cheesy way : I started this account years and years back, at the beginning of my studies, without any ambition but to draw fanarts of Undertale, and looking back, I can see how far I’ve come now. Today, I’m working and paying my bills, but I’ve still got the sweet @paintingit as a dear friend (whom I met here, it’s crazy) and it’s strange to tell myself this all started with a skeleton now voted #1 sexiest tumblr man, yea. It’s also thanks to all the nice comments and feedbacks I’ve received from you over the years. Then I hope you’ll enjoy this movie who’s been one hell of a trip, but which I’m still a little proud despite it all to show today.
Thank you ! And take care !

Right, I haven’t been posting in such a while. Between the end of the Gobelins master year, plus the small comic adaptation of the graphic novel Le Jardin, with also that covid shit having its best life, I’ve kind of been away from tumblr. And I probably will be -still- for a moment as I’ve started working as a freelancer for Pencilmation and, today, as an intern for Cartoon Saloon, the greatest opportunity of my small career so far. And I’ve got to make it my priority, obviously ! I feel like a little kid among all these amazing people...
Then you could say I’ll be back as soon as I’ll have new interesting content to post or the energy to finally post that pile of ocs and Dnd stuff.
Thanks for sticking around, you’re so many here ! And check out my -instagram- also, if you wish, sometimes I post wip and stuff in the stories. Take care, wear a mask, get vaccinated, stay healthy !

Some rough-roughs of the personal project I’m currently working on : a short adaptation of (the beginning of) “Le Jardin, Paris”, a graphic novel imagined and illustrated by Gaëlle Geniller aka @avril-circus. Their book is simply beautiful, I have no other word. If you can read French, I hightly recommend it to you. It’s lovely, delicate and is the kind of story which will make you smile all the way. -Where to find the book- -commission post // ko-fi page // instagram-

My last rather difficult module was to animate a 2d character and a 3d character together based on a piece of dialogue. And I was a fool, because damn it, is Kent difficult to animate, even in the movie The Iron Giant, his proportions are changing, it was difficult to get a good reference of him.
But well ! It’s over, FINALLY, and here is my rough animation of him (to start), the 3d is supposed to be in the back aaand I’ll post the final scene in a few weeks. I’m so… so glad it’s over-

Hi! May I ask, how did you find references for the clothes and backgrounds for your project "pour l'amour d'un boche"? Finding good refs has always been a big problem for me, I can never find any good ones from old time periods. Also, I love your drawings so so much, I wish you good luck for your animation project, I'm sure it's going to look amazing!
Thank you very much, dear anon ! Regarding the references, to find good ones, well, there is no secret, you’ve got to be searching... and keep searching ! For example, this project was about Paris in the 40′s, then I searched for pictures from that time on the internet here and there, pictures of kids, women, houses. It took me a while, but I managed to find a bunch of them to base my visuals on, including an exhibition of old photographies from that time.
One advice I can give you for the next part is to build a moodboard (or several) to organize your references, see what’s missing and what you should still be looking for. It helps to search and work in an efficient way !

After the Character Design, have the animatic I’ve done for my short project “Pour l’amour d’un boche” ! Gentle warning, this is not supposed to be a happy story, there is strong language and bullying. And I’m also a terrible voice actor.
