Time to Let You Go
Characters:Sakusa Kiyoomi × Miya Atsumu
Plot: Kiyoomi and Atsumu have been together for 3 years now. One day, Kiyoomi went to Atsumu's to break up with him.
Tags: angst, not a happy ending lol
_________________________
Kiyoomi knocked on Atsumu's door but instead of seeing his boyfriend, Osamu opened the door.
"You're here for Tsumu?" Osamu asked. "You have a date? Or you just missed my brother?"
"I'm here to talk to him," Kiyoomi seriously said.
"Wait there, I'll call him. Go talk outside, I don't want to beat you to death here at my own house if something terrible happened to my brother." Osamu left Kiyoomi and hurriedly went upstairs to go to Atsumu's room.
A few minutes later, Atsumu came down with a genuine smile on his face. His smile got even wider when he saw Kiyoomi waiting for him at the front door.
"Omi-Omi!" Atsumu exclaimed. "You didn't tell me you're gonna take me out today." Atsumu kissed his lover's forehead and clinged his arm to Kiyoomi's.
"We're just gonna get coffee, Atsumu. It's not actually a date," Kiyoomi replied.
"Okay, let me just get my coat and my phone."
Atsumu came back ready to go. He told his brother he might come back late so he can't leave the house until Atsumu came back.
The walk to the coffee shop was awfully quiet. No one bothered to talk. On Atsumu's side, he somewhat expected this to happen. He noticed how Kiyoomi changed. The way Kiyoomi treated him, the way he calls him, the way he texts him. Everything changed, and Atsumu's scared of what might happen today.
Atsumu intertwined his fingers to Kiyoomi's causing the latter to look at him with a questioning look. Atsumu just let out a small smile and said, "I'm cherishing the time we have left before I face reality."
That was when Kiyoomi realized that Atsumu already knew. Atsumu just wanted this day to be good. Not perfect, but good enough. Atsumu wanted to hold his hand for the last time, to walk with him hand in hand, to kiss him lovingly. Atsumu wanted this day to be their last day, before he lets Kiyoomi go.
Kiyoomi swallowed the lump on his throat, never minded the tears that almost burst out from his eyes. This was also hard for him. Breaking up with Atsumu was already torture. But he has to.
He squeezed Atsumu's hands gently, he looked at the latter with a look of love and compassion, before kissing his temple.
They walked together—slowly. They both don't want to get to the coffee shop in a short amount of time. They don't want this to end, but they had to.
Finally, they arrived. Kiyoomi ordered hot coffee. While waiting, Atsumu just stayed silent. He doesn't want to talk first, he doesn't want to cry.
As soon as their coffees were served, that's where they started. Their ending has begun.
"You know I love you," Kiyoomi started.
"I know."
"You know I'm contented with what we have," Kiyoomi continued.
"I know," Atsumu replied once again. "But I also know that because we got satisfied and contented, we stopped growing."
Atsumu reached out his hand to Kiyoomi's hand that's resting on the table. "We stopped craving things that may help us grow more."
"I don't want to leave you," Kiyoomi whispered.
"I don't as well. But I understand you, Omi. You want to grow. You want to explore more. More than what we have." Atsumu felt the tears forming in his eyes, but he tried his best to stop it.
"I'm sorry." Kiyoomi looked at Atsumu who's trying to stop himself from sobbing.
"I understand. I'm sorry, too. Letting each other go was so hard, Omi. But someday, the pain—this pain— will be worth it. Because you grew into a better person. And maybe someday, if fate led us together again, I will still love you, and choose you."
"I love you," Kiyoomi said.
The tears that has been longing to get out already fell from his eyes. The sadness that Atsumu doesn't want to feel, was already hurting his heart. The Kiyoomi that he doesn't want to let go, was saying his last confession of love. Nothing hurts more than this. Nothing hurts more than Atsumu.
"And I, too," Atsumu replied. "Omi it's time. It's time to let each other go. It's time to let you go."

A Travel to Memory Lane
Characters: Toru Oikawa × Reader
Plot: You are walking back to your condominium after you went to university. You coincidentally crossed paths with Oikawa, your ex from senior high.
Tags: a bit sad, reminiscing, romance, love, ex-couples, a bit fluff, a bit angst
__________________________
It's already late in the afternoon. The sun is ready to leave the sky. A stroll after university is one of your most favorite things to do. Even after a tiring day, you simply forget everything when you go for a walk on your way home.
You weren't fond of stopping by on coffee shops so you just ordered an iced caramel macchiato for take out and continued walking home. Your route is always the same so every house you see and every random people you encounter is somewhat familiar to you already. It's good to not be a stranger in your own town.
But this time, a stranger—no—a person, someone who doesn't take the route you're talking but is very familiar to you was also walking on the sidewalk you are in heading towards your direction.
You knew he wasn't here on purpose, because you also saw him in shock when he saw you. He also stopped in his tracks with his mouth slightly open, not knowing if he should say something or stay silent.
He was wearing a plain navy blue shirt, denim shorts, and white shoes. The spectacles that he was wearing added more charm and appeal on him. He's carrying a bag and he looked like he just went from school.
Finally, he found the courage to walk again but this time towards you. You prepared yourself on what might happen. He just want to catch up on what's happening to you Y/N, that's all.
"Hi, Y/ N." He smiled a little. Trying to hide the excitement from his face.
"Hi, Oikawa. It's my first time seeing you here." You're mentally patting your head on how calm you were when you talked to him.
"I could say the same. But maybe it's because my class ended up early and I have no volleyball training so I walked here today a but early as well," he said.
He was still handsome as ever. Kind, jolly, sometimes playful, but still a soft guy. He was still the Oikawa you loved. But it's over now. You guys broke up because it's not working anymore. That you're both busy minding your own lives that made the two of you argue about a lot of things, causing your relationship to suddenly fall apart a day before senior high school graduation.
"How...are you?" You asked. You don't want to admit it but you also want to know what he's doing these days. Deep inside you, there's this feeling of longing. You missed him.
"I'm doing good. I'm not going to say I'm better because I lost you." He looked at the books you're holding on your right hand. "Let me help you with that. I'll take you home."
You didn't even say yes but he already got your books and asked you to lead the way.
As you two were walking, you noticed that he keeps stealing glances. He must be thinking what to say to you.
"How about you? How's college?" He asked.
You smiled with tiredness evident on your face. "Tiring. I don't get enough sleep these days because of projects."
Oikawa looked at you with a worried face. He also feels the same but when he heard you say that, he immediately became your mother telling you things that you should do to get enough rest.
"Try to get enough sleep, Y/N. No matter how many your activities are. I remembered that day when you passed out in front of the whole team because you reviewed all night for midterms then immediately attended your duties as team manager." He chuckled slightly. "If it weren't for me you'd still be sick by now."
You smiled as the memories youbhad together flashed into your mind. It was those days when they were just happy and contented with each other.
"I also remember the day when you cried at Inter-High Preliminaries because you couldn't find me. What a cry baby, Toru!" You teased.
"Then how about the time you threw up on the bus when we went to Tokyo? You threw up three times, Y/N! I need to clean you up several times because you said you can't move too much."
You both cringed on that funny memory. It was when Oikawa promised to take you to the Tokyo Skytree for your first anniversary. You weren't used to riding buses so you got dizzy easily and threw for so many times.
"Oh yeah? Then who among us almost peed on his pants when we went to ride the roller coaster in Disneyland?" You said.
"Come on, it was so high! I felt like God was ready to see me that time," he whined. "What about the time we set Iwa-chan a blind date and we laughed our hearts out because Iwaizumi looks like he needs to pee."
You both laughed when you imagined Iwaizumi's face trying hard not to be rude, and not to say anything wrong to the girl he dated for a day. Iwaizumi almost punched Oikawa the day after but when he knew it was your plan, he just gave you death glares.
"Oh! I remember another one! When we were picking up your nephew and I bought you food without you knowing so when I came back you cried because you thought you lost me," you said.
"I was really afraid to lose you then, Y/N. I still am." He looked at you seriously, silently telling you that it's time to be serious.
"But we lost each other when we decided to end our relationship," you whispered.
"And that was the most stupid thing I ever did. I still love you, Y/N. I always will." The wind blew a few strands of your hair and Oikawa tucked it back behind your ear.
"I love you, too. But this is not the right time to get back together, Oikawa. We still need to grow. We still have a lot to learn." You can feel your tears forming in your eyes and you tried your best not to let it out.
"I know, so I will wait. We will wait until we're ready. Promise me, Y/N. That we will wait for each other no matter what happens." Oikawa softly caressed your cheeks. His eyes are glimmering and he was also trying his very best to not cry.
"I promise." You sadly smiled.
Soon after, you stopped in front of the building where your condo unit is. It was time to part ways, but you don't want to let each other go.
"You won't lose me, I promise. I'll pick you up tomorrow," Oikawa said.
"Thank you," you replied. "For traveling with me."
"And we will make more journeys together, my love."

Lost You Who Loved Me
Characters: Ushijima × Reader
Plot: After Ushijima dumped you, surprisingly he can't seem to focus on the championship game causing them to lose to Karasuno High School. Tendo gave Ushijima the talk. This is more like a sequel of Lose You to Love Me
Tags: angst, a bit of smut, romance, foreplay
Requested by : @shoyosbitchh not an alternative but i tried my best to relate it to your suggestion :))
Note: okay this is my first attempt on making a story that involves a bit of smut and wild stuffs so please please please bear with me hehe
__________________________
It's the fifth set of the game, it was hard playing against Karasuno who just came back from being defeated by so many. To Ushijima, this is his toughest and hardest play of volleyball. But he knew he can do it, they can win. They have been champions for so many years, it's impossible that they'd be easily defeated by Karasuno.
Yet Ushijima's condition today was unexplainable. Some of his serves and spikes are either out of bounds or blocked by the opponent. It was strange, but he was not himself today. Something was on his mind and he doesn't have a clue on what it is.
The score is already 25–24, in favor of Karasuno. This time it was his turn to serve, yet it seems like he can't get a hold of the ball properly.
He readied himself and served when he heard the whistle of the referee. Fortunately, there was no error in his serve. They still have the chance to be tied with the opponent who's already at their match point.
"Ushijima!" Tendo shouted and tossed the ball to him.
Ushijima spiked the ball with all his strength and what happened after was deafening. Shouts and cheers are scattered through out the whole gymnasium, cheering for Karasuno. They lost the game. He lost the game. He lost her.
He shook his head in frustration when he suddenly thought of Y/N. Impossible. Fucking impossible. He mentally said.
After the awarding which they got second place, Ushijima headed straight to the locker room to change his clothes. He doesn't know what to feel, or what to think. He doesn't what's bothering him.
"U-shi-ji-ma!" Tendo cheerfully exclaimed.
"I have no time for jokes, Tendo," he said.
"Someone seemed to be distracted. Could it be because of a girl I know?" Tendo teased which made him receive death glares from his friend.
"I'm not thinking of that...girl!" Ushijima denied.
Yes, denied. He realized that Tendo was true. He was indeed thinking of Y/N ever since the game started. He felt guilty from dumping her. For saying words that he did not actually mean.
Of course, the girl was pretty. Her posture says everything about her. Smart, beautiful, and for sure she has a whole lot of sex appeal. Ushijima won't deny that. But he was annoyed, he promised himself he's gomma focus om volleyball the whole season but Y/N keeps pestering him.
He sighed. Y/N didn't even watched the game anymore. He knew that when he took a quick glance on where the cheerleaders are. She was not there.
"Come on, don't be shy! Why are you suddenly thinking of Y/N? I thought she's not your type?" Tendo asked.
"Did I just hear the name Y/N? The hot cheerleader who likes Ushiwaka?" Semmi butted in.
"You hit the bullseye!" Tendo raised his hand to give Semmi a high five but the latter ignored him and went straight to his things.
"What happened with Y/N?" Semmi asked again.
"Ushiwaka dumped her!" Tendo exclaimed.
"Jerk move, I know," Ushijima said.
"Then go say sorry! Just kiss and make out with each other or whatever. Have sex if you want to," Tendo suggested.
"I don't know where she went. She never watched the game." Ushijima leaned on one of the lockers and closed his eyes shut.
" I know where she lives. She lives just across my house," Semmi said. "Go, I'll tell coach you need to do something urgent."
Ushijima packed his things and went straight out. He found himself riding a bus heading straight to Y/N's home.
__________________________
After you cried all the tears from your eyes, you went to bathroom to wash your puffy face. It's almost lunch and you haven't eaten yet. You just had coffee from breakfast and never bothered to eat right after Ushijima dumped you.
You changed your clothes into an oversized shirt and shorts before heading to the kitchen to cook lunch. You stopped walking when you heard the doorbell ring.
You immediately went out of the house to open the gate and ask for the person who just rang the doorbell. To your surprise, you found Ushijima standing at your front gate holding his duffle bag while looking intently at you.
"W-what are you doing here?!" You shouted.
"Let me in," Ushijima said.
Although your'e still in shock because of Ushijima who is literally right outside your house, you still went to the gate and opened it.
"You're alone?" He asked.
"I live alone."
"Good."
What? What's good?
As soon as you both went inside and as soon as you closed the door, Ushijima pushed you against it as he crashed his lips onto yours.
He's kissing you hungrily, and you can't help but to respond. It was so delicious, his lips. You clung onto his nape and deepened the kiss but you stopped when you're already out of breath.
" Ushijima, what are we doing?" You asked. What is this? You were dumped then suddenly he came her to kiss you?
"We are kissing," Ushijima seductively said. He leaned onto your earlobe, bit it lightly and whispered, " and we're gonna have a quickie."
Your eyes widened but immediately smiled. Ushijima was so ready to devour your lips again but you threw a teasing look at him. "I thought I was 'obsessed'?"
"I realized that, it wouldn't be a problem. The problem will be why are we not having a quickie today?"
It was a different Ushijima in front of you. The Ushijima who dumped you was stoic and emotionless but now, he's reeking of lust and hunger—and romance?
"Did you win?" You asked.
"We didn't, so comfort me, Y/N. Comfort me, baby." Fuck, Ushijima calling you 'baby' feels so good it just made you even wetter.
You didn't say a thing. You just kissed him again but this time your tongues are fighting each other. He sometimes bites your lips causing your mouth to open up more.
His hands are wandering through your body, caressing the small of your back gently but sexually. One second after, his hands are already resting on your clothed breast.
"Take it off," Ushijima demanded and you gladly followed.
He took your bra off and immediately sucked your nipples. He was sucking the left and cupping the right. He's doing it alternatively. He even left a hickey on your underboob.
He kissed your breasts going to your neck and also left multiple marks there. Ushijima is marking his territory—you are his territory.
He kissed you agaim on your lips and his hands one again wandered your body, this time it was much lower than before. He found the spot where you want him to touch you the most.
You're wearing cotton shorts, making Ushijima to easily feel your womanhood despite the clothing that hinders him from touching you barely. He slid his hands in your shorts and panties and once you felt him slowly rubbing your clit, you let out a loud moan.
"Oh, fuck!" You moaned. He looked at you in delight as he continues rubbing you. "Fuck, fuck, it feels so good! Oh!"
Without warning he entered your whole with his two hands causing you to arch your back and hold his shoulders tightly. "Baby, that feels so fucking good! Faster, please!"
He was having fun seeing you aroused and moaning, he started to move his two fingers in a past pace. On the other hand, you leaned onto him and kissed him once again.
While he was busy pleasuring you with his fingers, your hands went to his clothed groin and rubbed it. He groaned a little and stopped fingering you but managed to continue again.
Just like he did, you also slid your inside his shorts and freed his little friend—big friend, rather. You slowly gave it a hand, playing with its tip, stroking up and down while you were continuously letting out loud moans.
He suddenly slid out his fingers and pulled down your shorts and panties, now you are naked in front of him. He also stripped down all of his clothes and threw them somewhere else.
You were about to kneel down and give him a head but he stopped you and positioned his erect member in from of your wet pussy.
"I'll be gentle," Ushijima said and kissed your forehead.
He slowly made his wat inside you. It wasn't your first time, but Ushijima's size makes you feel like a virgin. He kissed your lips torridly while slowly thrusting in and out of you.
"Fuck!" He moaned. His pace becomes faster and faster. "Shit, shit, shit!"
You're hugging him as he was thrusting fastly. Your knees are trembling and getting weaker, Ushijima lifted it and holds it in his arms while fucking you.
"Oh, oh, oh!" You moaned. You feel your walls tightening, a signal that you're almost near. "I'm coming! Fuck!"
He thrusted even faster and right after you felt yourself dripping with cum, a mix of his and yours. He came inside you and it was the best feeling ever.
He slid out his member and kissed you once again. "I'm sorry."
"Oh, don't be. I had fun," you said.
"No, for what I said. I was a complete jerk. Forgive me?" Ushijima asked.
You kissed his lips and started picking up your clothes. "I'll forgive you after round two!" You chuckled and ran to your room.
You heard him laugh and immediately followed you to your room, getting ready for another round of pleasure.

Lose You to Love Me
Characters: Ushijima × Reader
Plot: You've been head over heels for Ushijima for like forever but he doesn't feel the same for you. In fact, he's already annoyed of you pestering him.
Tags: a bit of obsession i think, crush, infatuation, possessiveness, and more of those
__________________________
Holding a coffee on your one hand and a banner at the other, you walked inside the city gymnasium wearing a cheerleader attire. You decided to come early than your other squadmates who's probably still at school so that you can spend more time talking to Ushijima before the match.
He always comes a bit early as well because the volleyball team plays short matches before the real match. You know their habit ever since you became curious with Shiratorizawa's team captain, Ushijima. Of course you would find ways to get to him.
It was just infatuation at first, chills and jitters that normal fans feel when Ushijima walks by or talks to them, but days pass and you realized it wasn't just a crush. You felt something more than that, and you'll make sure that Ushijima will be yours by the end of the day.
Once you stepped foot inside the center court, you saw sports bags at the side of the court. You smirked. They're here just as you expected.
Although no one was there, you knew that they're only in the locker rooms, or probably having a stroll to exercise their limbs. Their coach wasn't there as well, the old man might come a bit later but will surely arrive before the match even starts.
It feels like luck is on your side because finally, he showed up. Ushijima jogs inside the court straight to where the bags are and opened one up to get a tumbler of water. He didn't notice you, or he probably did but just didn't bother to talk to you.
You narrowed your gap with each other by walking towards him. Smiling as if you won a game or something, you approached him with all your might.
"Ushijima-san, you're early," you said.
"I can see that you are, too, Y/N," he replied with his usual cold voice.
His voice just gives chills to your whole body. Weird, but it actually turns you on.
"I came early to have a little chat with you. You know, before the game." You never removed your smile. It was actually sweet at first but you soon changed in a seductive manner. "Or... we can do more than that, a quickie, I guess?"
"I don't do quickies with random people, and will definitely not having it with you." It sounded rude from Ushijima's point of view but he feels like you won't stop when you don't get to hear what you needed to hear.
For you, it sounded hot. You never minded the rudeness Ushijima surely showed to stop you from flirting with him. You mentally rolled your eyes, he won't ever stop you from what you want.
"Oh, sure. We'll make it longer then." You walked even closer to him and seductively held his shoulders before clinging ontobhis nape. He tried to remove it but it was too late, Tendo walked towards the two of you with a teasing smile on his face.
"Am I disturbing the both of you?" He asked. "No one's at the locker room right now, guys. You can go there for more privacy."
"No, you're not disturbing. In fact Y/N was about to leave now." This time he successfully removed your hands from his nape so you groaned a little in frustration.
"But babe, I thought we're gonna do it!" You whined.
"Ooohh, 'babe' huh, Ushiwaka, I never thought you had a thing for cheerleaders. Do you like how short their skirts are or somethin'?" Tendo teased.
"I don't have a thing for cheerleaders. I don't have time for bullshits." He looked at you frustratedly. Instead of being frightened, you smirked more and tried to seduce him in any way you can. "Can you come with me?"
"Of course! I'm so excited!" You exclaimed.
This is it! You two are gonna talk about how in love you are with each other then will most likely have steamy hot locker room quickie — or more than that — later.
He walked outside first so you followed him. You asked where you're gonna talk but he stayed silent. You just stared at his back in awe. If this wasn't the guy you'd be coupled with, you'd be damned. The guy is a hot daddy!
He stopped walking when you both arrived in the city gymnasium's waiting area. For a second you thought he wants to it with you in a public place. You got the chills. He's wild and you like it.
But your hopes were set aside when he didn't pulled you and crashed you into the wall to kiss you and make out. He just stared at you feeling nothing but frustration.
"What can't you understand in what I'm trying to tell you? I don't like you and that's not going to change. I don't have time for this, so stop wasting your time on me," he started.
"Ushijima, when a person loves another, you're always there for him to support him and love him."
"And you call that love? You call your fucking deeds an act of love? Y/N, that is already obsession." His stares are shooting fires and if looks could kill, you'd be dead cold by now. "Seducing me in front of almost everybody, being possessive in almost all my games, is not love Y/N. Stop that daydreaming of yours and mind your own damn life."
"I love you," you blurted out. You're slowly feeling the sting and pain of Ushijima's words. You don't want to accept it but what he said was kind of true.
"And I don't. So please, stop pestering me. Stop this nonsense already." With that he walked away and left you alone dumbfounded.
It happened so fast. One second you were just trying to flirt and seduce him and then a bit later he dumped you. Wow, you must really be a stupid bitch. You just lost him. What a good job, Y/N.

Won't Give Up on Us
Characters: Nishinoya Yuu, Azumane Asahi, other characters might be involved
Plot: On their way home, Asahi seems to be in deep thinking. Nishinoya asked what happened.
__________________________
The moon is in its brightest glow tonight. A group of teenage boys are walking down the road making their way to their coach's shop to buy some snack bars. They just finished volleyball training, all tired from a friendly match that they had a while ago.
Inter-High Preliminaries for volleyball is coming near. Every single day of practice is nerve-wracking for the team knowing that there's a chance that they're going to compete with the team who defeated them, thus the nickname "Flightless Crows" and " Fallen Champions".
But they all knew that sooner or later, they won't be called flightless anymore. Due to the skilled and genius freshmen and a small insane middle blocker who has crazy jumps and weird quicks, they know it is the start of a new journey. It is a stepping stone for them to be a powerhouse again.
Asahi is the ace of the team, and one of their best spikers. Who would've thought that he almost gave up on the sport that he loves? Guilty and full of fear, he didn't show up for volleyball practice for so many times. He thought he would just make the team be defeated again.
He blames himself for what happened the last time they were playing in the championship match. Despite being the ace, his spikes during the match were all blocked by their opponent, Dateko—which they will likely meet at the Inter-High games— no matter how good or how quick his spikes are, he didn't manage to get a single point to score and win the match. He was somewhat traumatized.
Nishinoya on the other hand, is the star libero of the team. His skills in receiving balls is superb yet he still isn't satisified at his plays. Even when he got suspended because of his and Asahi's fight, he trained hard on receiving blocked balls. Although he knows that Asahi blames himself for losing the championships, Nishinoya also feels guilty. He was mad and disappointed at himself because he never got to save all the blocked balls from Asahi's spikes. So this time, he was determined to do better.
After getting free snack bars because of Coach Ukai, the team parted ways and decided to meet early in the morning the next day for a morning run.
Nishinoya and Asahi went home together. It was kind of their habit, Asahi sometimes sleeps at Noya's house and Noya at Asahi's. This time, they're going to Nishinoya's.
Their relationship is private and lowkey. Although the whole team knows about it, after Sugawara exposed them, they still prefer to keep it lowkey as possible. They're already contented and happy with each other.
Asahi took Nishinoya's hands and intertwined it in his. Noya noticed how cold his hand is and said, "Mind telling me what bothers you?"
"I'm having cold feet. I think we'll lose again if I don't play right," Asahi replied, staring at the bright moon.
"We'll lose if you think that way, babe." Noya lightly squeezed Asahi's hands that caused the latter to look at him. "Forget about what happened before. We're more skilled now, we're better. You got so much better."
"What if my spikes are blocked again?" Asahi's face was painted with worry.
"Then I'll try my very best to save them. I always have your back, remember? I always believe in you." There was silence as he speaks. He breathes for a while then started talking again. "I'm nervous, too. I'm scared I can't receive properly, I'm scared of not being able to save the balls they blocked. But I have faith in myself, Asahi. I have faith in us. I have faith in what we can do."
"You're much braver than me. Where do you get the courage, babe?" Asahi asked.
"From you. Because I know that you can. You can do more, I know that. So don't give up on yourself. Don't give up on the game cause no matter what happens, I won't give up on you." Nishinoya stopped walking and faced Asahi.
The latter caressed his boyfriend's cheeks and softly kissed his forehead. "I won't give up on you, too," Asahi said.
"I won't give up on us." And they both smiled at each other.

A Game He Can't Play
Characters: Kozume Kenma, Kuroo Tetsurou
Today's volleyball practice and Kenma is running late. He stayed up all night playing the new game he downloaded in his play station causing him to wake up past the call time and will probably get a scolding once he arrived at the school.
Kenma never bothered to hurry, he was already late anyway, so he took his PSP from his pocket and started playing his favorite video game. Busy defeating the villaim in the game he plays, he wasn't looking at the road. It was a village and only a few just come passing by, nothing dangerous is gonna happen to him.
He didn't even notice a guy blocking his way. He was too focused on the game to the point that his head bumped into the guy's shoulder. A second later, the guy snatched Kenma's PSP and put it in his pocket.
"How many times do I have to tell you that playing games while walking is too dangerous?" The guy, Kuroo, said. He was annoyed at what he witnessed.
"I didn't see you there," Kenma answered with a poker face.
"Of course you didn't because you couldn't take your eyes off your game!" Kuroo started walking, leaving the young man behind.
Kenma followed him, staring at Kuroo's pocket where his PSP was slightly peeking. He tried to think of a way on how to get it but it seems like Kuroo knows what he's thinking. .
"Don't even try, you won't get it until we're at the school."
After that, they both remained silent. They rode a bus that took them to Nekoma High School. It was a miracle that no one was talking. Kuroo being the active guy he is, always talks about anything to Kenma. From how his day went, to how he got home. Kenma then realized that this time, Kuroo is dead serious.
Kenma likes Kuroo. Not as his bestfriend but romatically, but he never told the latter. He thought it was unnecessary and was just infatuation. The thought that Kuroo cares for him almost everyday makes his heart flutter in glee yet as usual, he acted like it was nothing.
As soon as they arrived the gym, Kuroo immediately handed the PSP back to Kenma. He's already his usual self, smiling, jolly, and his signature smirk is once again painted on his face.
"Next time, walk. Walk only. Alright?"
Kenma silently nodded. He went to their coach and immediately said his sorry. Luckily, it was his first time being late in a practice, so the coach let it slide. But next time, he was sure he has to do a lap of diving drills.
He started warming up beside Kuroo who's already in his practice clothes and is also doing his warm up.
"You have lunch?" Kuroo asked while stretching.
"I don't have the time to ask my mom lunch. I'll just eat at the cafeteria."
"Eat mine," Kuroo replied.
"Are you nuts? What will you eat then?" Kenma asked. His eyes a bit wide than his usual look.
"I'm just kidding, dummy. I prepared yours, too. I know you too well, Kenma. Can you please eat a lot of food? You're getting skinnier."
Kenma said nothing and continued on what he's doing. As soon as he's done, he left Kuroo who's talking with the team adviser and started practicing his serves like what the others are doing.
He waited for Lev to finish before serving. He muttered a curse in his mind when the ball went out of bounds. Today was not his day, he claims it. He went to get another ball again and started to serve, but it seems like the world is not in his favor because the ball didn't even get past the net.
"Kenma, don't be sloppy and fix your serves! Are you not in the mood?" Kuroo asked from the other side of the gym, still talking with the team adviser.
"Sorry, I'll do better."
Unfortunately, he didn't. Even his tosses we're either near the net, or too high for the spiker to reach. He shrugged his shoulders and stopped thinking about it. He sure was not in the mood because he came in late, his body was not in condition.
Lunch came and Kenma was supposed to go hide and eat alone but Kuroo immediately called him because they'll eat lunch together.
Kuroo made him a healthy lunch. There's salad, a small amount of side dish, half cup of rice, few pieces of meat, and a banana. Kenma decided that he'll just eat the banana and return all the remains back to Kuroo.
"You will not eat that if you don't eat all the food I prepared for you."
Kenma sighed and knew that he has no choice. He quietly ate his lunch while sometimes talking with Kuroo about the game and stuffs from classes.
"There's a classmate of mine who pretended to be in a relationship with his bestfriend and pranked all their friends. They told me it was like a pretend game. It kinda sucks, but it's kinda cool the same time," Kuroo said.
"Why are you telling me that?" Kenma asked.
"Why don't we try? Let's prank our friends, you game?" Kuroo chuckled and smirked.
Kenma didn't know what to reply. Sure he was fond of playing games, but this? This pretend game where his feelings are at risk of being exposed, where his friendship with Kuroo are at stake?
"Why don't we just try and focus on volleyball? We'll just waste our time for nonsense, Kuroo." He closed the lunchbos and gave it back to his friend.
"You are such a killjoy, Kenma!" Kuroo exclaimed teasingly.
Kenma just let out a small smile and tried distracting himself by playing another game on his PSP.
He wasn't a killjoy. He was just scared. He can't play a game that might make him miserable. He'll play anything. Volleyball, video games, anything. But not when feelings are involved. He just couldn't.

Winter Chills of Two Longing Hearts
It was winter season. Tobio came back from Tokyo after participating at the Youth Volleyball Training Camp, and Shoyo also came back after volunteering to be a ball boy in the mock Youth Training Camp in Shiratorizawa.
They were both heading to the Karasuno's volleyball gym, both coming from different directions. Tobio was quietly walking when he saw Shoyo also quietly walking alone, breathing heavily due to the cold weather. They stopped at their tracks and slowly looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
It was the wind that broke their stares. Shoyo was awkwardly playing with his fingers when Tobio finally had the courage to speak.
"How are you?" He asked. He wasn't very good at expressing his feelings but he tried his best asking Shoyo how he had been.
"I'm doing well. I enjoyed the training camp," Shoyo replied. "I just sneaked in but I volunteered to retrieve balls, and I got to observe their practice matches, and their serves, and their blocks, and their—"
"Did you miss me?" He asked hesitantly. He was frustrated with himself. He knew the guy he was talking to! Why does he look so stupid in front of Shoyo?
"You were gone for like a week, Kageyama. Of course, I did." Hinata smiled.
"I missed you, too, Shoyo."
Hinata's cheeks went red but managed to stifle a smile at his boyfriend.
"I'll race you to the stairs?" Kageyama teased.
"Game on!" Hinata exclaimed.
"Then tell me about what happened the past few days." Tobio naturally walked nearer Shoyo and kissed his boyfriend's forehead without shyness and hesitation.
He then quickly ran to the stairs while shouting, "Come on, Hinata! Boke!"
