Any ISTJ Anime character I like? I only know few ISTJs… and I would like two of them but I guess it’s better to list the full range of ISTJ anime characters I know.

I try to see Si and Te as combination in them!

Kurogane - Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles - pretty fine

Oh, it was a LONG TIME since I read the Manga. I really enjoyed it. Well, Kurogane is clearly an ISTJ, in my opinion. He acts on the past because as we know he lost his full family and almost became a vagrant (it looks like so). He’s loyal and does everything that he promised to someone. He knows his duties and fulfills them and he doesn’t give up and hates whiny people who give up easily although they have energy to fight.Kurogane is called “Blacky” by Fay because he’s so grumbly and wears black anyways (what a creative petname *rolls eyes*). I like this guy really much! he’s a great ISTJ. And I really like loyal people.

Miles Edgeworth - Ace Attorney - pretty fine

Gladly the most people assume he’s an ISTJ, too. Edgeworth became a prosecutor because of his past experiences (Si). He works hard for becoming better and better, plans his whole day events (Te) and sometimes talks about the past. He’s a nice guy in general, but a bit harsh in work. Privately people can see his Fi coming out, so sensitive and shy… in general he seeks for trust and when someone disappoint him he feels offended really fast (Te+Fi). In general he’s a really kind person, very special personality (endearing and friendly).I like him, too!

Mikasa Ackerman - Attack On Titan - pretty fine

I actually don’t watch Attack On Titan but my best friend talked about her, my other friend talked about her (but she more ranted) and discussion came up about HOW COLD SHE IS. And I saw her typing as ISTJ and read the description. It fits her. I also saw an episode… only one (and not fully thought), some AMVs, too.Well, she’s highly responsible and whatever people tell her to do she does. But she doesn’t do it because she wants to. She does it because she has to. Because she feels responsible to her brother Eren and wants to make him happy (she also likes him and is emotionally only focused on him which is a big Fi-vibe - maybe she’s also friendly to Armin. Those two are her childhood friends). She’s warm innerly but only towards special persons. Well… clearly ISTJ, I guess. She seems nice :).

Teru Mikami - Death Note - Si/Fi-Loop… I guess… he’s still a creep / weird ass

The way he writes in the Death Note is just annoying. Whenever I saw him using “writing-breakdance” I was like: “Gosh, is he getting an erection right now? Calm down, you sucker.” He’s in general a nice guy - at first. I know he tries to care for the humans but he has such a… BAD Fi, I could vomit. He thinks in black and white. But at least he’s loyal to his “God”, Kira. He does everything Kira wants from him. He plans, organises and fulfills everything (Te). He does it because he wants to change the world due to justice and bad past experiences (Si).

Sasuke Uchiha - Naruto - Si/Fi-Loop… I guess…

I don’t watch Naruto but know something about the characters (I at least read the manga - and the manga is much better than the anime). Sasuke is a guy who really wants to achieve one goal: To kill his big brother. He said it in the introduction of the group in the first two… episodes(?) (I only read the manga and it was in chapter 6 or 7, I guess). He would do anything to kill him so he exercised day by day. His focus is his big brother because of mental breaks, or so. I guess it’s a mixture of Si and Fi and Te in between, so vague. I loathe Sasuke. I hate the whole Naruto series because of him. He annoys me the heck out. Could he not stop and just enjoy the present?

Finally someone asking for a type not only in Anime.

Let me begin.

Joker - Batman - pretty fine but a sociopath

He’s my favourite villain. No one is as cool as him and no one can be as smart as him (in my opinion - although Hannibal (from “The silence of the lambs”) would be a great enemy *smiles*). Overly philosophical, manipulating and weird at the same time. His view of the society is dark. He hates the society, hates everything and just wants to destroy everything.

Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney - pretty fine

Some people assume he’s an ENFP, INFP or even INTJ but I see clearly Ti and Fe in him :). He often thinks how he could solve problems and difficult situation by finding a tactics in his mind. His Fe is also pretty high as we know that he feels responsible to help people. His words “People should work together to get closer to each other” has a pretty Fe-vibe. He’s often irritated by people’s behaviour and he often has his own thoughts on the matter (Ti).I like this guy :). He’s friendly and polite, a nice ENTP *haha*. But people often underestimate his intelligence.

Lisa Simpson - The Simpsons - pretty fine, soooooometimes Ne/Fe-loop

*lol* I never imagined her as being an ENTP but when I think deeper about it it seems like she’s really an ENTP (with pretty HIGH Fe). Her Ti is really high, too. As we know that she comments on everything someone does (especially the *rolls eyes* and “How stupid” from her are typical traits).

Barney Stinson - How I Met Your Mother - mostly in Ne/Fe-Loop

Why would people assume he’s an ENTJ?! I mean look at his crazy ideas with the many possibilities he creates. And seriously… even if he would use Ni because of targets then he would at least use Ni+Fe (manipulating as fuck). So at least he would be an ENFJ but ENFJ doesn’t fit because as we know, he really comes up with many solutions for problems. Also Ne: His (mostly) retarded theories which change day by day. His Ne/Fe-Loop sometimes appear. Sometimes he’s also in a Si-grip.I at first disliked him. For being such a jackass. But then I found out the actor is gay so I started to like him.

Garfield - Garfield - pretty fine, just in Si-Grip sometimes

I forgot Garfield! My gawd, that little philosophical cutie *lol*. Although I would think he’s either INTP or ENTP I just consider that he has inferior Si rather than inferior Fe. He’s good at manipulating but can’t stand the Monday (although he doesn’t work…). I loved reading the Garfield-comics in my past. He’s so endearing! And fat *lol*

Megamind - Megamind - was in a Ne/Fe-Loop, discovered Ti and got a villain

Seriously… I doubted his type for being an ENFP but actually he really fits the ENTP. He CRAVES for love, he wants to be loved, in the childhood he cameup with many ideas just to get attention and love from his classmates. But he often failed and felt so misunderstood. He tried to fit in but it didn’t work… so he found something out: When nobody likes him and he destroys everything anyways so why not becoming a villain? In the end it didn’t work. He really needs love.I love this guy. I love his personality, his overly friendly behaviour. He knows he can manipulate people but he doesn’t do.

This is all… I don’t know many ENTP anime characters… there are few… *sighs*I was almost putting in Jack Sparrow and Sherlock Holmes (from the film) but I’m not sure if ENTP or ESTP so nope… and Hiro from Baymax I don’t know much. I didn’t watch the film.BUT you can add more if you want :).

I decided to draw the teachers. The cognitive functions. From left to right: Ni, Ne, Si, Se :)

These perceiving functions are girls whilst the judging functions are boys. I hope everybody is fine with it. I had much fun drawing Si. Se was the most difficult. I at first wanted to make a warrior out of her *lol*. But I need to be realistic so well~ I hope you like them. I maybe will paint it. But I still see flaws in this picture, especially in Se *sighs*.

P.S: Ni’s brand is on her back but her hair covers it. P.P.S: I maaaaybe will change something of them. P.P.P.S: Ni is an indian girl (but I can’t make her skin darker with pen... I need to colour her skin brown). And Ne is an asian (what a surprise). Se is italian (why do I always see Se as mediterranean human?).

Even if I don’t watch many Anime series (I at least only watched 0.5 percent... and there are too many Anime series!And no. Until now I only received questions about INFP, INTP and INFJ (in this order).Thanks for the compliment~~~

I can try to list some ISTP Anime characters. I try to see Se and Ni in them.

South Italy - Axis Powers Hetalia - in a slight Ti/Ni-Loop and A LOT IN Fe-grip

Actually Lovino is PRETTY logical. I could see ISFP in him (a lot!!) but dominant Ti makes sense to him (especially the one episode where he asked where the turtles come from - so sceptical). He tries to be nice but it’s difficult. At least he knows how to flirt with girls *lol*. He’s a whiny and often wants attention but doesn’t know how to ask for hugs or love in general. He’s a dead loss in this case.

Roronoa Zoro - One Piece - pretty fine

Why can be someone an ISTP but has bad orientation? It’s a miracle that he still is good at Se (especially because his eyes are almost very sharp! He can detect things quickly and act on them - good combination of Se and Ni (on detecting) and good Ti (for reacting because as we know that Ti is a judging function and he’s used to decide through Ti). But bad orientation.I like this guy. He’s a really cool ISTP!

Alucard - Hellsing - pretty fine

I actually only read the first 6 chapter of the manga... but I can see pretty much Se in him (not Si... he’s not much interested in past experiences and also doesn’t act on the past - but if I’m wrong so please enlighten me with explanation please :) - maybe he’s an ESTP... NOT SURE). He seems really cool and so interesting! He’s a good teacher (a good combination of Se and Ni). But I can see a lot of Te in him, too. Still, his Ti in combination with Se makes him a bit more outwardly expressive :).

Shizuo Heiwajima - DRRR! - pretty fine

Eh... I only read his description and watched AMVs and listened to some fangirling of my ENFP friend on it. Actually I want to watch it but no time *lol*. I can see through description (I knoooow, I should watch the Anime to make my own opinion because theory doesn’t matter as much as experiences) that he uses a lot of Se and Ni together. I don’t think he uses Fi, rather more inferior Fe. I like him. My friend says I’m pretty much like him (I often get ISTP-characters from friends, weird *haha*).

Toph Beifong - Avatar The Last Airbender - pretty fine

Toph was my favourite character in Avatar and I liked to be like her (I asked my brother which character from Avatar I’m most like and he said “Azula”. I punched him). She’s incredibly cool! Blind but so much into Se, it’s incredible! But her Ti is still stronger. A blind person that badass!Finally an earth bender I really enjoy.

(I see that I mostly type male characters... actually I mostly know many male Anime Characters...).

No. He obviously uses Fe and Ti instead of Te and Fi. I was used to call him an INTJ, too. But I can’t see any Te in him nor Fi (although Fi would make more sense to him than Te but this is his 6th function and Fi in the 6th function works pretty well in an unconscious way).

Evidence he uses Fe:

^ Manipulating. He can be so creepily great at acting, with such a facial expression! And Fe and Ti combination in this evidence:

^ Thinking. He uses a lot of Ti and thinks and thinks of many ways how to manipulate people, how to use the next strategy, especially in combination with Fe.

^ Here you can see that he uses Ti very much. He thinks of how to use the Death Note by experimenting with it.

More evidence he uses Ti: He once were in a bus with a girl and carried some snippets of the Death Note. He dropped a snippet and the criminal in the bus took it and suddenly saw Ryuk! He screamed and Ryuk was surprised and asked “You can see me? … Wow, smart, Light. You just used the snippets to let people see me. Interesting.” Light didn’t even tell Ryuk about the snippets which means that Light thinks too much inside his head instead of telling it out. But faking feelings? No problem for him.

Not every “wannabe-emperor” need to be an INTJ or ENTJ. Especially no one who is too people-oriented. INTJs seek goals for their own sake and INFJs seek goals for the human’s sake.

Have you done a thing for INFJ anime characters?

I don’t even watch many Anime series… I actually only watch a few of them (the next one is Code Geass… after 3 months no Anime). Typing characters as INFJ could also be really tricky because many times it turns out that many characters aren’t INFJ but rather ISFJ, ISTP or INFP.But I can list some INFJ’s I know from Anime series I really enjoy and love! And I try to see Ni in them.

Soushi Miketsukami - Inu x Boku SS - pretty fine

I at first was not sure if he’s either ENFJ or INFJ but I can see that he uses Ti more than Se (and he’s maybe enneagram type 4). He’s calm, polite and gentle to everyone, has an impersonal attitude but usually really caring and overly jealous towards one person. I like him for being such a “puppy-boy”.(Pst to people who love the Golden Pair: Soushi and Ririchiyo are INFJ x INTP, go ahead (I’m sure in my opinion… could be wrong)).

Japan - Axis Powers Hetalia - pretty fine/ once in a slight Ni/Ti-Loop

Yeah, this guy is a really shy and calm INFJ, almost creepily calm that his inner world of absurdity and bizarrness is overseen… I can’t stop saying how much an INFJ can be that crazy in mind. “Still waters run deep” would be described for him. And as we know… crazy country. (his Ni is seen pretty well…)

Kaworu Nagisa - Neon Genesis Evangelion - pretty fine with functions but suicidal

This guy is really mysterious. A real “angel” (haha, get that joke? No? Ok… it’s an in-joke pun anyways). I never saw such a guy in my life yet, it would be creepy anyways because it’s like talking to an alien. Always saying such wise words, about such incredibly deep topics like humanity and friendliness, overly caring and selfless… I would touch his cheek and ask “Are you real?”

Ashitaka - Princess Mononoke - pretty fine

Ah, the best hero in Studio Ghibli (in my opinion). How can be someone so… deep? His Fe is somehow controlling but I really enjoy his attitude of a gentle warrior! He’s a rare character! I can’t find such a cool character that easily again (sadly). The best INFJ I ever saw (sorry, Kaworu and Japan).

Light Yagami /Kira - Death Note - Ni/Ti-Loop with unhealthy and manipulating Fe

Many people submit that he’s an INTJ but as we know he’s fucking manipulating (Fe) and not really controlling (Te). He also tested/experimented with the Death Note when he found it without reading the instruction (Ti). I can’t see Te in him… he doesn’t seem logical in external way. His strategy is also Fe-based. He wants to create a better world with perfect humans (an INFJ 1w9).I don’t like him. Really… I can’t.

It seems like I only know male INFJs… Weeeell…You can add more if you want to :).

Look at this for anime characters.Now I add more:

Sheldon Cooper - The Big Bang Theory - not sure if he’s in a Ti/Si-Loop but he’s sometimes in a Fe-grip.

He’s a dead loss in social interaction and has no clue how to deal with people. He’s rather alone anyways. But I like him. He’s a funny guy (sometimes I see myself in him… but only towards ideas because of obstinacy).

Amy Farrah Fowler - The Big Bang Theory - pretty fine

She’s also really crazy like England but she’s calmer and doesn’t have anger issues. *looks at the gif* … Ok, she’s maybe more temperamental than I thought *haha*.

England - Axis Powers Hetalia - Ti/Si-Loop and Fe-grip

This character is one of the weirdest and most colourful INTPs (and this is good this way or else we’re labelled (stereotypically) as robots for ever). He’s kind of insecure, useless and ridiculous but really creative (but his Ne is still broken). I like him for being responsible and careless at the same time. The most ambivalent guy I ever saw.His Ti/Si-loop with Fe-grip is similar to mine.

Spencer Reid - Criminal Minds - pretty fine

I like this guy a lot but he sometimes annoys me. Actually a pretty brainy INTP with a high creativity. His Fe is also pretty healthy (sometimes though).

Koshiro Izumi - Digimon Adventure 1, 2 and Tri - pretty fine

A braniac as Spencer Reid. He’s actually a really nice guy, quick-witted and curious. Friendly and always helpful. I like how useful he is. Without him the other characters wouldn’t be able to defeat the evil (but they all need each other - I like how the series is structured that every character needs each other’s help to defeat the evil).

Malcolm - Malcolm In The Middle - Very unheatlthy INTP in a Fe-grip sometimes

Some people say he’s an ENTP but he doesn’t have inferior Si… He obviously has inferior Fe. I’m ashamed of how idiotic an INTP can be… I mean he’s so unloyal but he at least tried to be a good guy (I don’t see anything nice in this idiot). But I sometimes like how he tries to socialise but he really lacks at it.

I don’t watch the popular series like Free!, Haikyuu, Attack On Titan, Naruto, neither Hellsing nor Tokyo Ghoul (but I would like to watch Hellsing).

But I can list INFP characters from Anime I love (and still watch):

Shinji Ikari - Neon Genesis Evangelion - Fi/Si-Loop(I at first thought he’s ISFJ but now I can see it’s Fi which speaks inside his head - not Fe, but he’s still an enneagram type 9w1 in my opinion). I love this guy. He’s so emotional and broken but actually a really friendy and caring guy.

Chopper - One Piece - once in a Fi/Si-Loop, now has a pretty good Ne

He’s the cutest human-animal in the Anime World.

Homura Akemi - Puella Magi Madoka Magica - in a DEEP Fi/Si-loop and Te-grip

I have to admit that I didn’t watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica (but I love reading comments about typing characters in series I didn’t watch yet). Many people claim that she’s an ISTJ or INTJ (or even INFJ) but I can see logic behind her as an INFP: A suicidal child with a big Fi and broken past experiences Si (she and Shinji has many things in common).

Sawako Kuronuma - Kimi No Todoke - fine girl

I didn’t watch the anime but I read the manga and Sawako is so ENDEARING. She’s my favourite character there. She’s not aware of how creepy she seems to other humans (so I’m sure that she’s not an ISFP *lol*). She’s dreamy and shy, really friendly and cute! (and she has the same birthday as me! 31th December *lol*).

Russia - Axis Powers Hetalia - Mostly in a Te-grip, sometimes Fi/Si-loop with a crazy Ne-trait

I have to admit that he’s the most crazy INFP I saw… pretty much yandere-behaviour with a smile down the abyss. ”I love you, guys! - To squash your head against a wall ♥”
