Inaugural show at Centro Cultural JAURIA TRANS in Mexico City.

I’m so blessed and happy to be able to show my artwork alongside three wonderful transmasculine guys who inspire me to create images and have been dear friends for years. Félix Morales, Aerial Osni, Thomas Ortiz and myself display our experiences as transmasculine folks through art in the group show named “Terrorists of Masculinity”.

This place is truly historic in Mexico City! The first culture center run by trans folks, creating a safe space for trans people and their allies through assessment, medical and therapeutic resources, art shows and workshops, conferences, and a peer-to-peer support group for transmasculine people.

This is the beginning of something huge!

Gender. Girl. Tomboy. Urningin. FtM. Trans man. Transgender. Transexual. Man. Trans. Transmasculine. Queer. Cuir. Non-binary. I don't find myself in words. I have been all and I have been none. My gender is a primal purple that breaks into waves of blue and red. It's a sea.

My name is Mario Julian. I’m 27 y/o and I live in Mexico. I identify as a trans masculine-alligned NB person (him/they pronouns). I’m currently self-employed and a social psychology student.

I started to go by Arlishan in 2003, when I dreamt of becoming an artist. I studied for Visual Arts major at UNAM from 2009 to 2012, dealing with severe depression, and that kind of ruined my love for art. I wouldn’t call myself an artist now, I’m just a person who draws- or sometimes paints or makes videos.

I stopped drawing for a very long while and I recently realized how much I miss it. So I’ve decided to give it a shot and do what I love just because it’s fun to do and it makes my life better.

I draw mostly canines and some other animals: furries, spiritual-related and vulture culture. I also draw some trans and gender related stuff.

I’m open to requests, trades and my original art is almost always for sale at fair prices.

TW for my content: I may upload some NSFW in the future, and it’ll be properly tagged. I’m a CSA and suicide attempt survivor, and my images can be used to vent. My images may be about my experience with mental illness: CPTSD, MDD, dissociative states. You can talk to me if you need it, but be aware I’m an empathetic peer, not a trained professional. Sometimes there’s blood in my images, though it’s not explicitly violent nor gore. I use Catholic imagery from my upbringing, but I do not practice that religion. I identify as a (solitary) unitarian universalist: I respect all creeds (and lack of religious/spiritual thought), though I don’t like to be confronted for having a belief.
