This one annoys me too bc I've been here long enough, the first one comes from a post literally abt how someone couldn't ask for ketchup at a restaurant for themselves but can and gladly would for a friend if the friend couldn't do it for themselves either. That post was about how somehow another person w anxiety needing help with something can shut down your anxiety in favor of helping them. They actually do this and we're dipping for sure. This ruins literally everything we've ever done on this website. If we ever wanted to go back to rp- cant do that now. Can't provide requested IDs for people. No more fun chains of images. You won't be able to have the back and forth of a debate or arguement on here either. Tumblr doesn't care about us anymore, they're making that very, very clear.

Tumblr reblog chains are in danger.

It seems that the staff is actually going to go forward with their decision to remove reblog chains, where reblogs will basically work like regular comments on other websites.

This doesn't just make the site completely unusable, it removes the soul of the community that has managed to build up here over the years, and that I'm so happy to have recently joined.

It makes impossible the creation of great posts where many people build up a single thing, until it is a gem of expressed human creativity.

There will be no more world heritage posts, no more messing around with your mutuals, no posts worth remembering.

There will be no more Tumblr, and the Tikblr or TumbTube or whatever monstrosity is born from its corpse will soon die, as is probably the best. And then there will never be another place like this on the internet, no place anymore to run to, no more fun, no more community.

I recommend a simple course of action. When these changes get imposed upon us, stop using Tumblr. Get your mutuals' discords, your favourite artists' websites, and leave. If the Tumblr we have once known returns, we well too. If not, better let it die quickly than suffer a long and painful decline.

I beg you to reblog this, for the more people see it, the higher chanses are for this to work.

Feel like ppl who say system travel isn't real do not understand the term in the slightest. It was made for GATEWAY SYSTEMS. "But why does that make it real"- listen.

Gateway Systems work by having some sort of gateway that members enter from and exit through. These gateways CAN link up... to other gateway systems. (Note here by gateway systems we just mean any system that has a gateway, not that their origins are primarily gateway, using this term for the sake of ease).

So how does it actually work?

Really easily. Gonna use our system and our friend's system as an example.

For us, entry/exit takes the form of a white void filled with doors. So say I wanted to go visit my friend in their gateway system, I'd go to the white void, find the door with their symbol, and walk through it.

On their end, they have pools we emerge from. So I'd walk through the door, into the pool, and then climb out of the pool and I would now be in their system.

THIS is what system travel means.
