I haven’t had friends in a while but now I actually have some and I feel like a terrible friend because of this stupid depression and all my issues, I don’t want to weigh anyone down or pull away because I can’t in good conscience share fully how bad I’m doing. I want to be a good happy person most of the time for them to be friends with. I want to be genuine and honest but don’t burden or sadden them. I’m terrified I won’t get “better enough” soon enough before they all decide I’m not worth it and leave.
If you are one of my friends and see this. please know I appreciate you so much even if this is such a new and recent friendship.
I’m overthinking a lot mainly because it’s so fresh and I’ve finally found friends that I genuinely connect with and have fun chatting with. I’m just a little distracted and working on myself improvement a lot. Thank you for your patience.
