He breathes with regret as he leans further down. Gently brushes the soft hair from her face, which is now covered in ash.
„....will be an honor, my mate."
So he carefully presses his lips against her blood-red ones.
His inhuman warmth seeps into her skin.
Flows into her heart, which is becoming more and more tired.
Warms her body for a short time.
As if this were the last attempt to live, it beats louder.
Then her lips part with a gentle sound surrounded by the crackling of the extinguished fires around her figure.
„The first kiss tastes like warm summer rain.” He whispers.
„And the last one after cold iron.” She whispers.
The burnt grass, like the leaves and branches, still glow faintly and sink to the ground with every gust.
Glow up to die and cover her clothes, which are left in tatters over her burned skin.
„Yes, my Kikyo.”
Golden eyes filled with hot tears.
Drop on her pale cheek.
Flowing down as if they were her own.
But she doesn't have the strength anymore.

I'm just going to say it.
Kikyo never wanted to be resurrected.
When we view her as a villain, just remember that she's a character that never wanted to be brought back and she's angry about it. She's lashing out at anything and everyone.
Does she make bad choices? Absolutely.
Does she do terrible things? Yep.
Should we view her at least as a sympathetic villain? ✅✅
In my honest opinion, she'd have made a WAY better villain than Naraku.
