Glanni was just trying to mind his business feeling miserable while lying in a flowerbed but the stupid elf just couldn't keep his nosy face out of his business. Or, Íþróttaálfurinn takes care of Glanni when the villain falls ill. For the No.13 Whumptober prompt, "I don't feel so good."

Today's fandom is the 1999 stageplay Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ, which was a part of the material that would later be adapted into the hit kid's show LazyTown! The stageplay focuses on a town that is influenced by the villain Glanni Glæpur (who would become Robbie Rotten) in the absence of their hero Íþróttaálfurinn.

On a night where Lion-O is restless and unable to sleep, he slips out to go for a walk to clear his mind. He knows he shouldn't, but he needs to escape the familiar walls of the Cat's Lair if only for a few minutes. But, as his luck goes, he steps in an animal trap, rusted, old, and forgotten. Gwynplaine was just a boy when Hardquanonne, a Comprachico surgeon, got his wicked hands upon him. Gwynplaine was just a boy when he was permanently mutilated and disfigured, when a wicked grin was carved out across his face. For the No.10 Whumptober prompt, Alternative prompt used: 'Body Modification.'

Today's fandom is the 1928 romantic drama film, The Man Who Laughs, an adaptation of the 1869 novel by Victor Hugo. This beautiful film is about a clown, disfigured at a young age by the King's men, becoming the pawn of a royal duchess.

Whumpee: Otto Becker

On his way to his brother's home, Otto encounters a group of young men and is beaten for being, as they suspect, a Nazi - for being Baron Hugo von Detner. Unable to reveal himself as being undercover, as actually being Otto, as being against the Nazis, he simply has to take the beating. For the No.9 Whumptober prompt, 'Mistaken Identity'.

Ninth fic for my Whumptober, where I challenged myself to write for a different fandom for each day! Today's fandom is the 1942 spy film, Nazi Agent, which is about a man assuming the identity of his estranged twin brother (who is a Nazi spy) in order to take down a spy ring.

Big Jim and Algie might have kept their gold from getting stolen but the pair of outlaws who attacked Big Jim weren't happy about being scared off, and the leader behind the attack decides to teach Algie a lesson. For the No.6 Whumptober prompt, 'Made to Watch.'

Today's fandom is the short 1912 silent western film, Algie the Miner, about a city boy named Algie going out West to learn how to be a man. This film was directed by the first female director, Alice Guy-Blaché!

This film follows the story of a world-famous piano player who loses his hands in a tragic train accident - resulting in him receiving transplanted hands from a murderer.
