Okay I really like the concept of them growing older and wiser but the thing is they don't really grow up all that much, they are supposed to be 9-13 but for some reason they're not the age their supposed to be that's weird and another thing is they are acting like teens then middle schoolers if they wanted to make them teens they should've. (only one who act their age is Dil)
I like they change clothes each episode even though some are just recolors, Angelica growth was the best I really enjoy her episodes, Phil and Lil episodes are my favorites, the characters going on their middle school adventures are nice, them having a friend group outside themselves are nice.
I wished the parents was showed some more with their problems with their kids growing up or just having shenanigans, Rachel should've had more character to her and more interactions with Tommy family other than Didi, the colors in season 1 is weird I'm glad they changed it but Susie and her family getting whitewashed was really really weird same thing applies with Kimi and Kira.
The visuals are really lacking it has interesting camera angles time to time but I wish it was wacky and weird as Rugrats and more fluid as the movies. It's a missed opportunity that As told by Ginger and All grown up didn't have a crossover, I think told by Ginger handle the middle school life and struggles better but All grown up is the better looker or more appealing to look at for me.
Tommy filmmaking would start out really bad and cheesy before he would get much better, he would have the script down before asking his friends and family for help such as asking his dad for set making and large props along with Dil painting them and building them too. Susie could help with music writing, Phil could get something gross from his room or something for effects and Lil to hold the sound.
Chuckie can hold the camera or tell Tommy about an ideal place to shoot(Rachel telling about abandoned buildings), Angelica is really dramatic so a actress or he'll get someone else.
