My sweet Poppet is sick 😔 She has lost weight, and I noticed that she just seemed to lack some of her usual energy. Turns out she is jaundiced and is having problems with her liver. The vet is keeping her for a few days. They seemed hopeful that they could help her, as she still has some energy and it seems we caught it fairly early on. If you’re the type to pray, or send good thoughts, or anything along those lines, please do so for Poppet. She is such a sweetheart, and brings so much joy to my life. Home from San Diego. What a trip! Stephanie (@stephaniejoy.elliott) and I were able to go to a huge conference for Learning & Development professionals. We heard amazing speakers, ate by the ocean, and took a little ride in an ambulance after somebody (*cough*Stephanie*cough*) fainted while we were sitting trying to pick a workshop to attend and proved difficult to wake back up. Fortunately that happened on the first day of the conference, and everything was smooth sailing for the rest of the trip! I have to say, I’m coming back full of knowledge and excitement about being a better instructional designer, but even more full of gratitude for such a wonderful travel companion, coworker, mentor, and friend!
