Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Elijah Wood and Viggo Mortensen all taking the piss out of Orlando Bloom for going on about a cracked rib too much, while Orlando Bloom desperately tries to wriggle out of talking about it (special mention to Elijah Wood’s “oh it hurts, babes, and I can’t ride the horse, babes” and Viggo Mortensen’s “they can be very fragile, elves, especially the…Mirkwood strain…”)

Elijah Wood talking about how the hobbit actors shared a trailer with Ian McKellen and sometimes they would hear inarticulate bellows of protest from his side when they played loud music in the mornings

Viggo Mortensen talking about how, while filming with those same boats, Kirin Shaw (Elijah Wood’s scale double) started telling him “if the boat tips over…save yourself…I can’t swim.”

some of you have never played the mass effect trilogy, gotten attached to all the characters and cried while doing it and it shows.

Anyway Kaidan is an amazing bisexual person of colour who really is an unique character compared to all the uber macho marine characters mainstream media oftentimes has. The dude likes beer and steak and still is totally down to talk about his trauma and feelings with you. He’s not afraid to speak up against Shepard and doesn’t follow them around like a lap dog, he doesn’t need Shepard to rise in the ranks, he’s completely independent and even after outranking Shepard in Mass Effect 3, he still follows them to hell and back because he wants to do good and because he respects them as a person. He’s one of the only people who isn’t blinded by the image of the Great Commander Shepard because he knows they’re still a human being

I just saw an ask to a confession blog asking what Alistair’s appeal is, why people are attracted to him, and my first thought is that people tend to undervalue the existence of a beefy warrior type who is incredibly sensitive, in touch with his own feelings, and not ashamed of them? I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again (I will shout it from the balconies with a megaphone if I have to): Nontoxic masculinity is incredibly attractive to a lot of people. It just is.

(Nothing against the people who don’t find Alistair attractive. Everyone has their preferences. Just making a statement about the pointedness of the ask. ^.^)
