becoming obsessed with a book series was NOT on my 2024 bingo card!! i didnt even know i could read!!

anyways here is my miss peregrine lineup for the children! ,,,i somehow forgot about the title character and only noticed once i was done lining LMAO— i’ll draw my design for her another time and maybe some other characters. i am sorry miss P i knew something was wrong 💔

kind of iffy on emma, enoch, & jacob but i can tweak them later on if i draw em more BAHAH

anyways my favorite character in the books is horace 🩷🩷 my little fancy prophetic boy . although my favorite designs i did are hugh & fionas :)

The idea of Ymbrynes displaying avian traits specific to their bird form is absolutely hilarious to me. Owl ymbrynes who are always up late, corvids who love to collect trinkets, shrikes whose favorite food are kebabs, parrots who have a habit of repeating words, a kookaburra who has a very distinctive laugh, etc etc!! It’s a HC that I think adds a whole new layer of character depth and I think makes the ymbrynes seem just a bit more human :)

Okay MPHFPC Fandom, I have a question.

What are the fandom's opinion of the latter three books in the series?

My friend and I, who have read them all, have come to the conclusion that we did not care for the second trilogy much and felt it took away from the original story. This is not to bash Ransom Riggs as an author whatsoever, I still love his writing and respect his creative vision, it just wasn't something I overly enjoyed. I felt Library of Souls would have been a fine place to end the story, and that's where I have chosen to stop when I re-read the books.

So I'm curious: What do other fans think of the last three books? The only people I know who have read all 6 don't like the latter half, so I'm curious of other opinions.
